280824 - Track1 - G

I've been messing around with the idea of doing multiple tracks in the same session for a bit. I currently have about 3-4 demos in the works, this is the first one and currently the most complete of the bunch. I also naturally have a bunch of raw riffs and leads with no real purpose, just floating around in there. I don't really know if this is going to be a good workflow for me just yet, but there is something nice about being able to keep updating stuff over time without having to wait for sessions to load.
This one was written before the STL Borland demo, and also in the same session, so technically I suppose that one was the first. Ironically this track has more of a nu metal vibe than that did.
I have one more track in it's own session from earlier, that I also filmed a playthrough for today, so I'll be posting that fairly soon as well. Maybe I'll bring that one in as well and keep reworking it over time.
I'm hoping this new workflow can help me actually finish songs, rather than just doing 1-2 minute demos, and then moving on to the next thing. Let me know if any of you have tried something similar, and if it works for you or not.

Thank you! I suppose I'm still in the early stages of writing. Hopefully some material will start to take shape by the end of the year, and then next year I might actually release something properly. I'm also indeed into programming, though I did not attend javazone 2015, that was a bit before my time. 😅

love it. why aren't you looking to join a band? do you just prefer to work solo on stuff?

let him establish himself first.
starting a band is something you do with people who have a goal that aligns with yours musically, that way there is not 4 or 5 people all pushing in completely different directions making things harder for the process of writing material. i think the right people will be there when hes ready.

@@darkroot_ Yeah, pretty much this. I'm certainly open to it, I'm just not actively looking for anything for the time being. Working solo is just super convenient essentially. I'd love to collaborate with people eventually, but it's just not very feasible at the moment.
