  • For this one I was originally trying out the STL Tonality Lasse Lammert plugin. Using the Diezel Herbert amp with the pedals from nameless and GGD cali as my cabs. I really liked it, but I ultimately ran out of time to finish it before the trial ran out. You know how it is. I ended up swapping out the amp for the old trusty nameless, but I couldn't be bothered to tweak the rest of my signal chain.
I noticed the last track was clipping a bit more than I like. I tried to adress that with this one, I also tried scooping out the high mids/"snap" from the snare close mic, letting the overheads do the lifting there. I think it sounds a lot smoother as a result. The kick has a bit more low end this time around as well. This mix is also a bit brighter than I'd prefer, either that, or it's a bit too scooped, I can't quite tell. It's also not quite as glued as I would like. I am quite happy with the drum tones though, more so than most of the stuff I've made over the past few months.
    Thanks for listening
