In the first five episodes, we are shown a school life full of conflicts about love and friendship, so peaceful. but after the broadcast of episode six we are slapped back to the reality that we are watching the gundam series.
oh yeah just when you thought the only real risk to anyone using the GUND system was nerve damage that made the Alaya-Vijnana's look pleasant in comparison then you find out souls might be getting trapped in the Gundam again. Oh and we also find out this version of the universal century has full mind wipes and body sculpting to the point where people can't tell that someone is a body double isn't that just great.

For those who didn't get it, 'my birthday ' part meant Miorine might die on ber 17th birthday if Suletta sing the happy birthday song
I think the season 2 ending confirmed it, where the bits are basically suletta and the ending shows aeriel kill suletta and in the beginning, suletta cant find miorine. At first I didnt notice but then I re-watch it today and noted, yea 21 years and Eri is 4 years old at that time and Prospera didnt call suletta her daughter and etc. OMG. Season 2 last episode will be the boom, and Season 3 and 4, Prospera will be the final boss. Also, why Delling in the beginning oppose Gundam so passionately but with Quiet Zero project, he allows Gundam to proceed?
...... yeah, this was the episode that reminded us all that it’s a GUNDAM SERIES. The adorable cookie cutter stuff is done, the FORESHADOWING has begun.

witch from mercury is my first gundam series and let me just say i enjoyed the feeling of my mind exploding after this episode (and watching the prologue)

Spend some time to watch other Gundam like Seed, Seed Destiny, 00, 00 S2 and Movie, Iron Blooded Orphan S1 and S2, Unicorn and Wing.
There are dark as well. Explore child soldier, space, war, politics, friend become enemy and enemy become friend.
I’ve actually watched Gundam 00 first season after watching this Gundam for the first time, and it is very good.
@@raiden0801 While I personally liked Seed and Seed Destiny... those are not what I would recommend. Kira magically surviving and the rival's character development disappearing in Seed was awful.
I watched the original (first, at least) Gundam series a few years ago and it held up really well in terms of characters and story. Sometimes starting at the beginning is nice.
i highly recommend watching 08th ms team imo one of the best gundam shows ever. one of the main reasons i like it is that the gundams are not OP and seem to be recycle versions of the one amuro uses during 79 anime. there is no random powerup bs just plain simple guerilla warefare.

Given that the events of Folkvangr took place in A.S 109, confirmed by Cardo Nabo 's death year being A.S. 109, and the series taking place in A.S. 122(13 years later) the theory of Suletta being a clone of Eri is unlikely given that her age is 17 which lines up with her being 4 during the Folkvangr massacre, plus Lfrith was referred to as a child prior to Eri piloting it.

Some people are also going with the Superior Gundam / ALICE roots and guessing "Eri-AI" as the propper name of the model, and Aerial being a Nickname of sort.

@@Artteza Umm at the episode 0 (the prequel), there's a scene near the end where Eri and her mother in the gundam cockpit, struggling to escape from the battle. At that time Eri managed to activated the Gundam and released some advanced Score that no one ever done it before. But contrast to little Eri's expression of joys & fun, her mother looking at her with a devastated face. Almost as if she understand what is going to happen to her child from then on. And this recent eps 6 kinda confirm fans theory: "Eri" is no longer there. There's only "Aerial".

I think its more like "Majestic Prince" where the mechs has the pilots DNA also added to the mech, thus making it more linkable and have a bit of it's own survival instinct, but that's as good a guess.
My guess is Eri talking to Lfrith early on created engrams that combined with AI made Aerial. The novel shows that aerial is fully sentient which is probably the big difference in needing the Permet system to interface the pilot to the mobile suit and all these souls and clone theorists are probably going end up disappointed.
