This is the episode that makes me feel like the show was meant to be more surreal than it came across. Like, when you think about it craggy island is like some weird alternate dimension, everyone who goes there faces doom or ruin and some really bizarre things happen.
Still waiting for "The Plague" aka Rabbit episode, another great Frank Kelly episode

Hi Noah, glad you enjoyed it. As I`ve said before these comedies are so well made, that you don`t really have a bad episode, it`s good to see new generations still enjoy them. You would think, the Clergy, would have made Craggy Island a no-go zone for Bishop`s after this.
Did you know that the actor who plays Bishop Brennan is in the second Harry Potter movie? He doesn't have any lines but you can tell it's him

In the episode 'Chirpy Burpy Cheap Sheep', when Fargo Boyle is revealed as the villain, Feck becomes something a bit stronger amongst the ensuing commotion. Great memories from a great show!
This is my 2nd favourite episode, caught these when they were 1st broadcast, always thought the show was incredibly well written. Its even better watching it all these years later.
"The Passion of Saint Tibulus" would be a great episode to do next.

This is definitely a top 10 episode for me! I love that all four main characters get good roles in this episode. The scene with Dougal remembering Aliens is on that evening is just terrific!! 😂😂 Jack's new look is possibly more funny before you see him in the Lent episode, but "That would be an ecumenical matter!" is one of my favourite quotes for sure!
I really can't name any bad episodes of Father Ted - I can only really distinguish "very good" from "very, _very_ good" episodes to be honest!
Maybe do Night of the Nearly Dead or Old Grey Whistle Theft next? They're not my very favourites, but have plenty of fun moments, and it would be good to save some even better ones like Flight into Terror for later on!

I'd recommend giving a look at the "flight into terror" episode, It was the first full episode I saw and really enjoyed. Graham Norton reapears in it ☺️

For the mainland episode its not necessary to watch one foot in the grave as there is only one reference to it in that episode but its up to you

Hey there!, I love your reaction videos. “the mainland” is a fabulous episode but I wouldn’t say you have to watch One Foot In The Grave first. All you need to know is that it was a very popular British sitcom featuring a grumpy old man and the main characters catchphrase was “I don’t believe it” and the actor Richard Wilson became pretty fed up with people repeating the catchphrase to him in every day life.
You don't really need to see One Foot in the Grave before The Mainland. They tell you what you need to know about it in the Father Ted episode. Plus, there's 42 episodes of One Foot in the Grave, so at one a month, you'll have top put Father Ted on hold for a long time. Just watch it, it's excellent.

@@taffe316 Oh, right (as Dougal would say). They did a survey over here in the UK and S2E2 ''We Have Put Her Living In The Tomb'' was voted the best episode. I don't know if I'd agree with that but it''ll give you an idea of the bittersweet nature of the show.
Knowing one foot in the grave before the Mainland episode is only so you know about the phrase 'I don't believe it' which is said by the character Victor Meldrew as Richard Wilson, who played Victor, turmed up as himself in that episode of Fr Ted.
