Lovely video Donny. I am jealous of your wild camp! It will be months before I can come up to the promised land again- Good for you mate. I loved your driftwood art by the way.😀
Lovely as ever and I quite like the drone footage because I feel it conveys the vastness of the place better. Just missed that weather window you had Donny, arriving on the Sunday and setting up at Loch Awe with the family. We did get out on the water 3 out of the 4 days we were there, so can’t complain, but was a bit rough at times for 6 on a 3.9m sib. Inspired by your earlier videos I took them to your back garden and Innishail Cemetery, Fraoch Eilean, Ardchonnel castle, then St Conans Kirk and inside Cruachan Dam and Kilchurn, which they all enjoyed. On our trip to Etive on the Tuesday it was already starting to get a bit too wild to venture out on the water and by the Wednesday we had to abort the the idea completely for another time.
Thanks bdr6199 .its not been a good year this year but the past week has made up for it. Loch Etive was lovely and I managed a few days camping too..hope your next visit gives better weather ..at least you got a few days out on Loch Awe 😀
Ah, Donny...another inspirational video that tempts me back onto the water! The effort you put into these films is incredible! I spent Easter weekend visiting my sister who lives on the shores of Loch Sunart, between Strontian and Salen. The weather was just perfect, and while we didn't get afloat we had a great walk at Castle Tioram between Loch Shiel and Loch Moidart. The trip up along Loch lomond and through Glencoe and over the Corran ferry was just fabulous, as was the return journey...Scotland at its most beautiful! That floor lamp is amazing! Thank you for this amazing video, and let's hope we have a wonderful Summer season with many more brilliant videos from you!
I can see why you call it the promised land donny, absolutely fantastic. Been to both of the loch but never in between just thanks to your excellent videos. Cheers for your time and effort
Wonderful Donny! Your videos certainly bring light to my dark days that’s for sure. And, they are also very useful, for my impending trip to your promised land. Thankyou. And nice work on the lamp too 😃👍
Absolutely lovely, thank you. I've just found your channel and am so pleased to subscribe. I managed to crash my drone early this year and somehow lost the will to fly it again. Seeing you fly yours I'm determined to be back in the air again when I take my newly converted micro camper van out for the first time mid September and without a doubt I shall be making Glen Etive, one of my favourite glens, my first port of call. I'm grateful for your inspirational video, again thank you.
That fire 🔥 with the moon got me near the end, i was trying to put a couple o tatties in to round of the night. Thank you for reminding me what life is after a long wet winter.
@@donnywilcox I'm a tad like that myself nowadays as I lifted Belhaven best instead of the Guinness as it's okay on my tum without being gassy , also it's our closest brewery. Anyways Donny I cannot make the Rib run next week but my son Calum and his girlfriend are going but he's struggled to get a small sender unit done but it's now looking he will make it after all. Sadly I won't be able to meet you either but have a great time at the gathering of Ribs . Now remember they tatties.
Great stuff! Smashing film Donny😊. Such a relaxing film to watch along with your narration. Fond memories of loch and Glen etive. A new subscriber 👍🏼. ATB, Fraser
Have you done a complete circum-navigation of Rhum? I think that I have watched all your vids, but don't think I have seen that. It is one of my favourite islands and I would love to see it from all angles. Good idea for the summer? 🤔
Yup Stuart quite a few times going round Rum.. mostly on the way to Canna and back .. a couple years ago I didn't do much video of the area but check the last round Skye video..the east side of Rum and Kinloch castle is in it..and the Canna ones often have the west side ..it is a lovely island and very rugged and remote 😀

Beautiful video otherwise but for me the drone footage is boring and doesn't add anything
I disagree, it adds to the atmosphere and sense of being there for me….its a different way of viewing I think…more meditative perhaps.
