Brilliant video again Donny. The scenery is breath taking, the drone footage is fantastic and the music was spot on. I would advise anyone watching your videos to cast them to their big screen - it puts a whole new perspective on the scenery. Makes me want to blow the dust off my tent and kayak and get back to the Great Outdoors. Thanks again for sharing. 😊
Here I am.....sat on a building site in Newark on Trent in my hgv, being unloaded, and I'm surrounded by dust, noise, and people.....deadlines and traffic to deal with on a Friday......yet just for a short while at least, I'm stood next to you living my retirement dream with you and I'm totally relaxed. Your videos are my escape. Thanks, Donny....that music, btw..is the best yet.
Excellent video Donny, I am very lucky to have Loch Etive half a mile from the doorstep. Look forward to your next film and hope you show the world how miserable August has been.
Your Videos capture the beauty of "Place" and the landscape of water and mountains are awesum in the true sense of that much over used word.Your story telling is to be admired. You are an inspiration and long may it be so.
I totally agree with everybody else Donny, a particularly lovely video. I think the low angle shots of the running water, Bluebells etc. coupled with a great choice of music made it very special.
Donny I watch all your video's and find them a great watch. I have to say I enjoyed this more than any other one you have done. I am here at Loch Etive cooking my tea as I watch. I to know this place well now but that was a beautiful video. The cool colors and your walking around is great . Loved it all thank very much for sharing , Oh your drone footage has a signature of how you see life. you've mastered it. thanks again Ray K YNWA
A lovely relaxing video to watch in the evening! You are so lucky living beside such a beautiful environment! May is definitely the month for exploring the west of Scotland before the midgies come out of hibernation.
Another belter Donny! I too had the pleasure- if you will- of meeting those swans when I was camping there at the end of April (‘24). I suspect they’re the Laird and Lady of Loch Etive?? I didn’t get hassled so much as “checked out” to make sure I wasn’t causing a nuisance. They left me alone and went on their way after I threw some leftover bits of brown pitta bread for them 😂. Probably not the best idea lol but it worked!
Hi Donnie. Thanks for another superb video. I laughed about the swans. As i got landed with 2 of them on Loch Goil when building a wooden boathouse and other shoreline projects as iam a
Sorry just saying iam a joiner. The swans were great company. Yes for at least a good few years. I fed them on brown bread. They slept at my workplace. TOTALY at peace with me even with all the noise of saws and hammering. The female was placid but the male put on the big show of the protector with always no real problem. I always liked camping in Glen Etive. But the midges can ruin it sometimes. Great video Donnie thanks again.👍🏞🏕🌄
Well Donny, I say it every time....the best one yet. Beautiful scenery, excellent photography. You are blessed to do what you do and live where you are. Please keep them coming. Thank you David
I love your videos Donny! They’re always so relaxing. Loch Etive is one of my favourite places on the planet. I’m hoping to return in the autumn for some kayak camping but in the meantime your videos keep me inspired. A shame you missed that aurora!
This for me Donny the best yet in every way absolutely amazing footage throughout I must admit the flume was too cold for me even from here enjoy Jura if the weather plays ball.
Thanks Jeff..had a great time going round Jura but it was very bumpy every day so you might have found it hard going..enjoy your visit to norfolk :-D I then spend 5 days with a terrible cold..still trying to shake it off
nice panoramic views spectacular scenery, i got the vibe with the music last of the mohicans was,nt there a film set built in one of the glens not long ago used as a backdrop could have been further up river
Yup.. there have been a few movies filmed in Glen Etive..last was Starfall..a James bond one ? And music close enough too..it was inspired by Braveheart theme 😀
Fabulous video yet again Donny! you have such a talent for showing this superb area, I felt like I was there with you. I'll be up with my Honwave in a couple of weeks so hope the weather gods are smiling for me :-)
Superb video Donnie. Good to see you out on the Loch. I've not managed any overnighters since mid April due to other stuff getting in the way. Hopefully we'll get a settled spell in September. Might see you up there. Gordon
Fantastic drone work - I’m assuming the river is the head of the loch…..never been but must make it that far sometime. Great effort with the 4 consecutive days camping!
I’m astonished with your camera work. Instant subscription Donny. When you mention the swan intimidation, is it wrong that I pictured Rab C Nesbit wrapping a Govan forehead on one? Achhhhh you behave Donny haha
We are just back from Loch Etive Donny and actually saw you. You were our neighbour for the night, we camped opposite each other on the loch. We had a lay in the next day as we arrived late, but the wash from your boat passing us actually woke us up gently! I popped my head out the tent and went to my other half, “that’s Donny Wilcox!” So I whipped my camera out and took a little clip of you motoring along. Would you mind if he included this in one of our future videos? Probably a TH-cam short. Thanks!
Hey..I remember that ARfamilyadventures ..I slowed down to answer text message on the phone..and I presume it was yourself that was camped on the shingle beach just past Armaddy Bay 😀
@@donnywilcox that’s right yes! You looked like you were looking down at something. Good memory! 🤣. Yes we camped in that spot, didn’t arrive there til very late (3am Friday into Saturday morning) We actually went camping again the following weekend and I briefly saw you again heading from the end of the loch going west, think it was on the Sunday. I have to say, I’ve never encountered a tick in my life on all my outdoor walking I’ve done over the years and camping. Encountered several at loch etive. Woke upto a dead one I assumed I squished in my sleep in the tent and felt one crawling down the back of my head as I was on the beach and swiped it off. Can only assume all the insect repellent I covered myself in perhaps deterred them from actually biting me. Tick city!
One of your best Donny ,the beauty of Ettive perfectly captured . At 72 and hading back up there soon 👏🏻🥃 cheers

A lovely relaxing video to watch in the evening! You are so lucky living beside such a beautiful environment! May is definitely the month for exploring the west of Scotland before the midgies come out of hibernation.
It was a strange year stuart ..no midges most of july..but that was because it turned very cold and was always blowing a hoolie 😀
Nice 1 Donny... the silhouette of the highland coo....at1.20....its head on the rock.... i thought that was cool...great vid once again Donny

They pestered me most the summer but took off eventually captain..no idea where they went though.. perhaps migrated ?
Beautiful. I have been to your "wee out of the way bay". You will be pleased to know that I only left footprints.
If it was mid summer crf9993 you may have found it a bit overgrown. I abandoned it after it got trashed..which is asll explained in latest upload 😀
