- If you have an Android Samsung phone and the messaging app keeps crashing, here's a fix that worked for me. The problem started on 28.5.2024 so I uninstalled the updates and went through them one by one to see which one was causing the problem. I thought it was the messaging app itself, but it wasn't. Watch to see which one it was and hopefully if you're having the same problem, it will sort it out. I'm unsure if ALL Android phones are affected or just Samsung. Please let me know in the comments if you have another brand that was affected too.

I updated all, including the g-meets app and my chat app works again. So they must've fixed whatever g-meet issue they had. Thanks for the info though.👍👍

Hello Nige, Very interesting, I havent' had any issues so far with messaging on my samsung or Pixel, but certainly will look out for any updates which do happen now and then. That's good, but do keep an eye on it Joe. I've got auto update for apps enabled so didn't know it was like it till I tried to text.

Haven't had any issues on either of mine for some time now. A few months back I had to uninstall updates on my Redmi Note 12 and Motorola so they could send photos in a text message. Have not updated since and the apps are still working fine.
