If heaven exists, this is what heaven must look like. Just wow. And that forest at 25:13 is sooo beautiful. Wish there was more of that forest. Is this during September btw? You have a good knowledge of mountain peaks and you showing the names of those peaks time and again is exactly what I want as a mountain enthusiast. Also I want to give a big applause for your video capturing and editing skills. No shitty music in the background, good framing, camera stabilization on point and the color grading perfect. Are you using GoPro or a regular DSLR btw?
I had done the Annapurna circuit last year in Oct and now would like to trek the Manaslu circuit after watching your video!! Thanks for the great video!
Thank you for these wonderful videos and the very helpful commentary. I have a question, if I may - for a person with some fear of heights (only of very narrow trails with a steep drop-off on one side), which sections of Manaslu do you think may be worrisome? From your videos, I thought generally the path was ok, but are there any such sections that don't appear in the videos? Would you say the Annapurna Circuit has fewer of these sections? I'm trying to choose between the two given my condition. Thanks a lot!
Thank you for these wonderfully kind words! ☺ I'm not fully qualified to answer the question with certainty, as I have no fear of height myself and I'm not completely sure what kind of trail section would trigger it, but I'll try to answer it as good as I can. The narrowest (permanent) trails on the Manaslu circuit are between Ekle Bhatti and Deng. It between 10:00 and 11:00 minutes in the first video: th-cam.com/video/O5Uf-b-Eemw/w-d-xo.html Apart from that landslides can happen in lots of different places. Those would require you to cross them on narrow, slippery gravel trails clinging to a steep slope. You can see one of those at 07:25 minutes, also in the first video. Besides that, the descent down from Larke La to Bhimtang is quite steep and across some rubble fields, but it's not a cliff or anything like that. So... I would (very uneducatedly) guess you'd be fine? The trails on the Annapurna circuit are even less of a problem, as they are even more wide, than the ones on the Manaslu Circuit. Btw, I have a whole video in the channel discussing the pros and cons of each of the two treks. It's not specifically looking at trail widths, but it might help you decide between them anyway: th-cam.com/video/gs-bNJxHEPA/w-d-xo.html
The amount of efforts you put in tagging those places in video is great. good content. Can you help and put description of tool you use like camera? by the way I stumbled upon this video because I did ABC in 2017.
Thank you Mahesh! :) That's a great coincidence! I also did ABC in 2017. End of March. There was a lot of snow at that time. Unfortunately I didn't yet film my treks back then. I use a GoPro Hero 6 and the Karma Grip Gimbal. And Google Earth. That's abut it.
Hello Peta, thank you for your comments! The trip to Pungyen Gompa is just a day trip from Samagoan and is completely optional. We did it to improve our acclimatization. The basic route is the same for all trekkers.
I don't know Gang Pungyen, but here is map, where you can see the area around Pungyen Glacier: www.himalaya-info.org/images/Images%20Landkarten/Map%20Manaslu_2560.jpg The Gompa is where the dotted line (trail) stopps. Probably a mountain next to this glacier basin is Gang Pungyen? I really don't know...
Heaven is myth, Nepal is real.
Very true!

What is the name of that big plain grassland which you see yaks grazing on it (4-5) minutes in the beginning of the video?
I don't know if it has a name. Its on the way to Pungyen Gompa.

Most of the other trekkers didn't show this big grassland (Pangyen monastery) on the southern face of Manaslu. Are they coming from a different route?

When did you do this trek?.. month
In October 2019
One of the mountains is called Pungyen (Gang Pungyen). Did you see it or is it renamed to sound more like a Nepali name?
I don't know Gang Pungyen, but here is map, where you can see the area around Pungyen Glacier:
