Hello Helen & Tim, great capture. I’m on the same trek next week, wanted to know which month and date did you guys go? As the video was posted last week, wanted to know if your trek was in the month of March 2024 or earlier. Asking only as I’m trying to figure out the weather for next week and the week after.
That’s exciting! Hope your trek goes well. We went around mid October last year. A different part of the year than you’re going, but we have heard you will get consistent weather if you’re going in April.
The Annapurna Circuit was an amazing hike. The new jeep roads were quite bumpy, but only dusty after the pass. Otherwise they were wide enough you could avoid the dust from jeeps by staying off to the side/shoulder.
I'm very interested in what porters carry for you? You have backpacks and they also have bags four times larger. Considering that you spend the night and eat in villages. And the track is not very difficult. Bottled water?
The porters carried mostly our clothes/jackets, toiletries, healthier snacks (we couldn't get on the trail) and sandals. Two people shared one porter bag, so we each had to fit all of our stuff into one big duffel bag for our porter to carry. We each had our 3-liter water bladder. You can buy water at each of the tea houses. We either did that or used our water filters to filter water from the spouts available outside of the tea houses. If you are interested in any of our gear, you can visit our website: helenandtimtravel.com/hiking-gear-list Let us know if you have any questions 😀
@@HelenandTimTravel in this treck you can just take about 7 kg backpack. No more! Everithing you can get in the villages. Medicine centers also there. Water goes from million year ice from the mountains. Don't buy bottles!
@SergeFX all good recommendations. Depends on the company. You may be thinking of Everest Base Camp. We had a porter for every 2 people so we had some extra clothes. All food and water we got on the mountain

Hi, thanks for sharing your tips, quick question please , when did u go hiking the annapurna? what is the best month of the year you would recommend? I heard that there is a pollution season as well in Nepal. thanks
We recommend hiking in late Oct/Nov to April/May. They seem go be clearer weather windows and not as cold as the other months. We hiked with Discovery World Trekking. You can see their info in our video description. March to May tents to be smokier with pre-monsoon pollution, so Oct/Nov may be better.

Thanks so much! We didn't clean our hiking bottles. High altitude meant sometimes the water was frozen....

We went in Oct last year. It’s apparently a good month for clear windows as well as we have heard March and April are good times. Not sure if Dec is. Would recommend doing some research or talking to a local trekking company on Dec. Snow storms can be common on upper pass between Nov to Feb we have heard since it’s winter in northern hemisphere

Beautiful introduction to the Annapurna Circuit trek. My bagpack and day bag in total is only 9.8 kg. My porter couldn’t be more happy to hike along the circuit. The lighter you pack, the better it would be with happier days and less stress. This great video reminds me of this trek.
Thanks for watching! You did a good job packing light. We could’ve done a way better job for sure 😅 but the load got much lighter once we ate our snacks.
We went in Oct and it was overall very warm during the days….around 21 to 26 celaius during the day and depending on elevation it was below freezing at upper elevation. We didn’t get snow on the upper pass but it does happen so often in Oct,
Honestly never felt too overly crowded until the upper pass. It felt pretty spread out throughout. We want to do EBC at some point. How did you like York experience?
They were both provided to us included in our trekking package. We loved Discovery World Trekking because they provided them at no additional cost unlike some of the other companies ☺️
We didn’t have to pay for electricity on the Annapurna circuit. Seemed like most places included free electricity. Once you’re at high elevation though they have limited hours the electricity comes on and at a couple of the higher camp there isn’t any electricity at all. Make sure to bring battery banks and a solar charger if you can ☺️
we did this hike before the mandatory guide service. no way i would want to hike with a guide for such a easy impossible to get lost trail.. Guides than was about $ 20-$25 a day
You can! You can probably google jeep services that can take you up there. It does cost around $200 to $300 USD for a private jeep. Not familiar with who operates them since we went with a guide
Not to criticize, but as a buddhist, you should know how to spin the Mani wheels. You should use right hand, not left and you should spin them in a clockwise direction.
We didn’t have these wheels growing up in the buddhist denomination and temple I went to. But thanks for the info. We are all learning and growing in this world and to teach through kindness ☺️
It's shocking to see Annapurna like this. Did it 25 years ago. It was single trail from Besisahar to the end. Even 15 years ago it was okayish, although roadbuilding had startet. Well if the road truely serves the people, I'm not saying anything.
Wow! What an experience doing the trail 25 years and 15 years ago. Would be interesting to see side-by-side photos comparison of all the changes and development.
@@HelenandTimTravel We saw many amazing places after that and we still do, but that first Annapurna was probably an experience of a lifetime. Also it was August and we met a bunch of other trekkers at the bus in Besisahar. We just decided to do the Annapurna together and support each other.
Our friend brought a small solar panel to charge our and camera batteries. Some places on the pass limit when electricity is turned on. Wish we had warmer gloves for the upper pass. You can buy yak fur gloves along the way if you want warmer gloves, but we wish we had our ski gloves verses the thinner ones we had. We pretty much used all of the things on our packing list from the trekking company ☺️
She followed many different trekking groups not only us. She always seemed to left with the first group of trekkers for the day and somehow found us again.
It depends on how many days you are on the Annapurna Circuit. Each trekking country charges different rates, but overall pretty similar. We used Discovery World Trekking: www.discoveryworldtrekking.com/trips/annapurna-circuit-trek

Your motherland is so beautiful! 🏔️🥹
Did EBC years ago. Always wanted to do this one. How bad is the traffic these days? Spoils it ?
Honestly never felt too overly crowded until the upper pass. It felt pretty spread out throughout. We want to do EBC at some point. How did you like York experience?
Love your video very useful 👍
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching 😀

Welcome to our channel Happy to have you here. Thanks for subscribing :)
Nice Vlog. Is it possible for you to share with us the permit of flying drone in Annapurna Circuit and pass airport of Nepal??
Thank you! You can find out more information here: www.thirdrockadventures.com/blog/how-to-travel-with-a-drone-in-nepal. Hope that helps!
Hi. cool movie. I have a question. did you pay for renting a jacket and sleeping bag?
They were both provided to us included in our trekking package. We loved Discovery World Trekking because they provided them at no additional cost unlike some of the other companies ☺️
Have a wonderful time hajur 🇳🇵 💐❤️🙏🏻
Namaste! Thank you ☺️❤️
wow amazing fact

Well done everyone👍
Thanks so much! ☺️ We really enjoyed our experience on the Annapurna Circuit. We hope to trek more in Nepal in the future
Welcome 🙏🙏to visit Nepal 🇳🇵❣️❣️❣️❣️
Thanks! Nepalese people were very kind. Appreciate the warm welcome
@@HelenandTimTravel You're welcome 🙏🙏🙏 🥰
Hi. Did you have to pay for charging electronic equipment?
We didn’t have to pay for electricity on the Annapurna circuit. Seemed like most places included free electricity. Once you’re at high elevation though they have limited hours the electricity comes on and at a couple of the higher camp there isn’t any electricity at all. Make sure to bring battery banks and a solar charger if you can ☺️
Nice🎉🎉🎉🎉sapoti
Thank you🙏❤️☺️
Is it true that they totally destroid the circuit with a road all the way around?
They have built a road, but not sure what conditions were like before. Definitely has an impact on the environment and the route regardless.
we did this hike before the mandatory guide service. no way i would want to hike with a guide for such a easy impossible to get lost trail.. Guides than was about $ 20-$25 a day
We wish we did the same ☺️ glad you had that experience. Wow $20 to $25 is a great deal! What did you think of the hike?
Can I take a car and start from Manang? I'm going by myself without a guide.
You can! You can probably google jeep services that can take you up there. It does cost around $200 to $300 USD for a private jeep. Not familiar with who operates them since we went with a guide
Well done 👏🏻
Thanks so much 😊
What was your daily cost on an average? Per day
With Annapurna guide services, food/drinks, private jeep ride both ways. We averaged $65 per person per day
Amazing 😍
Thank you! ☺️
Love it #Nepal
Nepal is such a wonderful country to visit!
how long was drive from ghorepani to pokhara?
If we remember correctly it was 2ish to 3 hours, definitely not longer than 3. It was a bumpy ride we remember :).
welco,me to nepal n enjoooyss
Thanks so much ☺️☺️☺️
Not to criticize, but as a buddhist, you should know how to spin the Mani wheels. You should use right hand, not left and you should spin them in a clockwise direction.
We didn’t have these wheels growing up in the buddhist denomination and temple I went to. But thanks for the info. We are all learning and growing in this world and to teach through kindness ☺️
Well come NepaL 🙏
Thanks so much! 🏔️☺️ We appreciate all the kindness
🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤biutiful Nepal
Couldn’t agree more ☺️
It's shocking to see Annapurna like this.
@FragenAnsLeben that sounds like an amazing experience. The best is meeting people along the journey you can share experiences with
Baball ❤
😀 Thanks for watching!

I'm doing this trek in Oct. What items did you wish you brought? What items did you not need?
Our friend brought a small solar panel to charge our and camera batteries. Some places on the pass limit when electricity is turned on.
Wish we had warmer gloves for the upper pass. You can buy yak fur gloves along the way if you want warmer gloves, but we wish we had our ski gloves verses the thinner ones we had.
We pretty much used all of the things on our packing list from the trekking company ☺️
Nice
Thanks so much!
How did that dog followed you all the way up ..😮
She followed many different trekking groups not only us. She always seemed to left with the first group of trekkers for the day and somehow found us again.
how much money will be enough to comp[lete it
It depends on how many days you are on the Annapurna Circuit. Each trekking country charges different rates, but overall pretty similar. We used Discovery World Trekking: www.discoveryworldtrekking.com/trips/annapurna-circuit-trek

☺️☺️☺️
😍😍
☺️🏔️🥾
Wow...beautifully done but you did NOT do nearly the circuit. Viewers should be aware of the actual circuit.
Thanks! Yes we are aware there are many different lengths and routes. This was just our experience
49:00 song name? It’s so soothing
It's called "Eastern Sunrise" by Ian Kelosky. We use a website called Soundstripe to license all of our music for the channel. Here is the link to his song on Soundstrip: app.soundstripe.com/songs/14535. You can sign up for a free Soundstripe here, but if you just want to listen, you don't need to sign-up. 😎 www.soundstripe.com/?id=ReGwyaeP

In some comment you asked for photos of what AC looked like 25 years ago. Here is a video of the route (HD slides) done in 1984 and 1986, Dumre to Pokhara including Annapurna Sanctuary and Dhaulagiri Icefall. No roads, no electricity, no phones. th-cam.com/video/wxXPsO0Zuzo/w-d-xo.html
Thanks so much for sharing. Will check it out!
🥰
Thanks so watching! ☺️
you dont need a guide- its dead law
We saw many people without a guide, but also many with guides and porters. We love to support local jobs 😃
What happened to the dog that followed you from Chame to High Camp? I enjoyed every bit of your epic 14 day trek
So glad you enjoyed it! Hikers said they saw her go over to pass to the town of Muktinath. She followed many of the groups, not just ours 🐶
@@HelenandTimTravel Relieved to hear that the dog has reached Muktinath. I too have been to Tilicho some years back.
@balarampradhan6010 we were relieved too that some of the guides saw them and reported back to us. Sure so much has changed since back then. Glad you were able to experience it
