- Manaslu Circuit Trek is a remote trek on the Great Himalaya Trail. In 15 days, it takes us around Manaslu, the world's eighth highest mountain at 8,163 m.
The trail provides all Nepal has to offer: from subtropical jungle at lower elevations, though the Himalayan foothills to the high, cold and challenging crossing of the Larkya Pass at an altitude of 5,140 m.
We are a group of 4 hikers who met in Kathmandu (where we enjoyed fun pre-trekking days: • Kathmandu (pre-trek) ). We set out in late October with a great crew from www.ametreks.c... Shusil, Sudip and Shishir!
We get to the trail via an 8 hour Jeep ride to Soti Khola at the foot of the Himalayas (right by the Budhi Gandaki river). After the pass we make it to Bahundanda, west of Manaslu where we take a buss back to Kathmandu.

I am travelling there after 35 days...🇳🇵🇳🇵Thanks brother.🙏🇳🇵🍷
I did this same trek in 2008. At that time there were no lodges. This was strictly a camping trek, and very few trekkers. I love this video and watch it at last once a month to bring back memories of my favorite trek.
Excellent video. Was torn between doing the manaslu or the annapurna. After watching this vid, defo gonna do the manaslu. Great work. Thanks
Thank you friends visiting our beautiful Nepal.
I also like Himalaya so much .

I am from east part of Nepal now living in the UK.
One of the best video's i've seen on Nepal. Well done. The scenery is just amazing!

Excellent Video. Thinking of doing this for my 60th in September. Phil
Thanks for the Video and memories, was the first to do this trek some 40 years ago. Very different back then, no power, far less houses but the pass still looks the same. Tents all the way, local brew on many nights, some not bad, some undrinkable. Cheers from NZ.
Hey Mervyn,
Wow, that must have been quite a trip! I sincerely hope the trek can maintains its magic and does not get overly exploited.

What an incredible video, thanks for sharing! As someone planning on doing the Trek later this year this was all I needed to convince me that I was making the right choice. It looks like an absolutely stunning trip.

This trek is next on my list. The call of the mountains is getting stronger. 😊

Thank you for coming Nepal
You gave credit and mention the Porter in this video. Thanks
Yes, Sudip and Shirshir were amazing!
Thank you very much for the video.
Someday I’ll do a Nepal trek. Probably Manaslu because it seems less crowded.
But I can’t do a group trip anymore. Mainly not because of the people, but because of individuality.
Maybe I would like to stay longer at a lodge or visit something unplanned,...
A porter would be nice though 😬
Oh, and thanks for not putting too much music in the vid.
You should solo ABC, that will be much easier and less problematic for you.
Great video!
Hopefully I'll be doing the same trek March-April 2021
Good views, nice presentation.
Beautiful video..❤
Great video! Thanks!

Really nice video, good work ! Me and my girlfriend are planing to try this trek in July so I have a question, is it possible to go there without porter or guide ? I have read everywhere that you need them, but i have never seen a single guide/porter in any video from this trek, so I am little bit confused....
More complicated than I expected, but thank you very much for the information :)
Very nice! How did you do the Google Earth parts?
great video!! I knw what you mean by "I wish i was still up..." Like they say..Once is not enough :) Thanx for all the info.. I also wanted to knw abt Dharmashala!! Do they have any accommodation or i should carry my own tent?
Hey Kali- thank you! Dharamsala is a sort of basecamp with stationary tents and dinning hall so no need to carry your own. However, accommodation is limited so better check availability and weather conditions before leaving Samdo.
All the best to you
Thank You Another Brother :)
