I believe Aerith reset the timeline at the end of the original for all the reasons you said. Also, the Whispers go after her pretty hard because she's trying to challenge fate and "make things right". Their role is to keep things happening the same, but she is actively moving/nudging things in a different direction. At the Shin-Ra tower, she says that everytime the Whispers touch her, she loses a part of herself. Well, I think this means that when they touch her, they take away memories from the original timeline, so by the end of the game you can tell that she is very uncertain about the choices she makes--while in the beginning she is very sure of herself. At this point in the beginning of Rebirth, she may truly have no idea what's in store, so she'll have to trust herself to make choices that will end up in a better future.
I don't think she reset the timeline. The opening of both games, she is looking into the mako leaking from the pipe. After beating the original game, you see Aerith in a black void, looking up in the same way. I believe she is able to use the mako as a crystal ball of sorts to see the future. The original game was her vision. This game is reality and the whispers are the force trying to keep the events the same. The "Remake" doesn't refer to the developers remaking the game, it refers to the characters remaking destiny.
The fact that Aerith knows about her death is not a theory, but a fact. She tells Cloud not to fall in love, before saying words, hinting at her death. I think everyone familiar with the original immediately understood this . But then Ultimania was released, where Nojima said that this scene would be understandable for people who know the fate of Aerith in the original, which makes it not a theory, but a fact.
@@zacatkinson3926 Yeah about that, I never understood why she said that. Why not real? that was amemory of Cloud, not Zack or any other explanation you could give.
After Sephiroth is beat at the end of FF7 OG, Aerith opens her eyes. Hence the titles Remake and Rebirth (translation: Reincarnation) I don’t think characters will die. A character takes a knee if a player is at 0 HP and they are unconscious in Remake.
I love every theory made on this channel, great job! For this matter I would like to add: when Aerith meets Tifa the "First" time, she acts as if she already knows her, so like, weirdly friendly. And you can see that Tifa is a bit perplexed
The biggest hint of this theory is that the opening scene of the original pans in on Aerith looking at the leaking mako pipe. Her eyes are already open. In the end of ff7 og they showed the same scene but Aerith is opening her eyes. The ending of ff7 matches up with the beginning of remake because Aerith is opening her eyes instead of them already being opened.
This is a game that really is worth doing a second play through. Apart from that it’s still awesome, you definitely get to see a lot of things you missed the first go-around. Especially with Aerith.
Heck I just in the past 2 weeks put in 32 hours into the ps1 original on my ps1. Finally bought the remake too. The whole story has always been so interesting to me.
Another way to look at it is that the events of Remake don't take place after, but rather alongside. The lifestream perceives things non-linearly, which is why ancient and future knowledge can be grasped by the Cetra. I feel like this is also what Sephiroth exploited when he / Jenova infect the lifestream. Any time the mako / lifestream is also interacted with like the mako reactor explosion, or the plate falling and so many people dieing - fumes / mako particulates fill the air. This seems to coinside with many of the moments that Cloud not only sees Sephiroth, but that scene with Aerith after finding Wedge (and Aerith isn't fully in-tune with the planet yet, based on what she says about the flowers - but certainly more than the beginning of OG FF7).
I think the sephiroth we are seeing is after Advent children as the whispers show up there when he appears. The 3 harbingers of fate that show up that represent kadaj, yazoo and loz potentially defending their existence as they might not exist with geostigma if things change, they even turn into bahumut which is also in AC
Another thing is that time doesn't exist in the lifestream. So Aerith and Sephiroth are still in there. I believe that Aerith in the garden, the night before the mission to save her, is OG Aerith speaking to Cloud from the lifestream. Im not sure i think this is a different timeline so much as the timeless nature of lifestream allowing Aerith and Sephiroth, and to a lesser extent Cloud to essentially project their memories into their past selves. Not so much for Zack, since he be dead during events of OG. Nit that he doesn't have valuable info. But he just HAS that info. No need for lifestream shenanigans.
Dude, you're right about almost everything except Cloud. Cloud doesn't have knowledge, another life form that is built into Cloud has it, it's Jenova. So there are three people who know about the future - Sephiroth + Jeenova vs Aerith. The flashbacks he sees are all Jenova sees, and he doesn't understand their meaning like Aerith and Sephiroth do. Migraine, after which the vision happens, is the result of Jenova, Aerith has this knowledge, and it does not cause her headache
I agree, his visions are probably related to Jenova cells. Jenova is a being that uses psyhic powers to control others. Cloud is connected to Sephiroth via the Jenova cells, in a sense we can say he's been fighting Sephiroth in his mind for control the whole time. A side note, the omnislash fight vs sephy in the OG has more weight than one might think, it wasnt symbolic but actually happened in a mental place between sephy and cloud similar to the edge of creation
Holy smokes! Great video i was aware of most of this theory but you provided some great extra details such as the pose in the garden being the same pose from the o.g.
Great video but I think the answer is less concrete than "it all happened before." With the lifesteam being annihilated by mako reactors I don't see how the cycle can repeat and sustain the planet through multiple iterations or timelines. This is the crisis of the planet: The lifestream, which is made of souls essentially, are not being reused, they are being used and destroyed by mako reactors. I think Aerith as the last remaining ancient is so in tune with the lifestream, which contains the memories of those who have died and are passing through it, that she embodies some of this memory as if she experienced it herself. The whispers seem to be a neutral force but also in juxtaposition to this idea of giving memory, where they are making Aerith forget things. She mentions how she loses a part of herself when the whispers touch her. The ultimania speaks of "future memories" but I don't think it is as simple as a time loop or knowledge of a separate timeline. I think the lifestream's sense of time is not linear and it's will to protect itself is generated by all this memory pointing to an outcome where it survives. I know it sounds like I'm splitting hairs here and basically trying to say it's not a sequel while saying OG is part of the memory, making it a sequel, but im really not, because at the end of Remake it seems that Aerith is cut off from this concrete knowledge now and doesn't see the "future memories" anymore because they have taken away the mechanism that would ensure that outcome. It's like someone took your plan you wrote down in detail and replaced it with some colors or sounds that give you a feeling of what the plan was. I really do think it's that wishy washy and that the remake series will never directly come out and say, hey it's a sequel. They might leave this open completely to interpretation by the player. The final thing is that the sequel idea makes it so that while you play the next game you might wonder why anyone is retreading anything, because if the "bad ending" is to be avoided, and sephiroth doesn't want to lose, then why have the meteor on the logo? Why retread the black materia and meteor and the weapons and allow Cloud to break and have to fix him? What is the purpose of re-living all of this? Also Aerith is the only one that seems to be "remembering anything" and understanding it. When Cloud get some flash he can't understand it at all. I think you can solve this narrative issue by thinking about the lifestream as a non linear memory trove that only Aerith and Sephiroth are in tune with in some way.
Great job connecting all these things and showing us in such detail. You did a fantastic job. I just want to add some things I saw. FF7: Even in the OG, Aerith had an air of unknown surrounding her. After they are all captured in Shinra HQ, and a mysterious circumstance allows them to escape, Aerith has suspicion of who attacked the HQ and let them out. At this point, she should not know who Sephiroth or who Jenova are, as she has not been present in any conversation regarding them. Yet she seemingly knows something. After beating the Robot vehicle and everyone is deciding to leave Midgar, Aerith says she has so much to learn. Cloud asks specifically if she means about the Ancients and Aerith responds with, “Many things…” It’s easy to assume she has some knowledge of things that are yet to come and that she potentially wants to specifically learn more of Sephiroth and Jenova. After Cloud’s story in Kalm, Aerith try’s to open up, about all the things she is thinking about. She mentions the Cetra, Jenova, Sepiroth and herself, then stops and silence falls between her, Cloud, Red and Tifa, only for Tifa to suggest they keep moving. This silence reminds me of Aerith in the Remake during the scene where Cloud sees her visage. She trys to open up to Cloud about something, perhaps the knowledge she has, but then Cloud fills the silence with “You need to cherish this moment.” Obviously she realizes something in Cosmo Canyon when she confides that she really is alone, Cloud says something like, can’t we be here for you, and she just turns away from him, perhaps already knowing that she would not be able to be saved by them in the end. It honestly seems like even in the OG, she had some prior knowledge even as early as Midgar. Many people have said after she learns more of the Cetra in Cosmo Canyon, then her job became known to her, but it really seems like she knew from at the very least, the opening moment of the game. It’s crazy how deep the OG was and how the Remake, a clear sequel in my eyes, is blowing open the old story and making even that experience feel new! Really goes to show just how incredible this story was.
I think “Remake” is actually a double entendre serving as a subtitle. As someone who never played the original, this is something that clicked for me when they discover that presentation of the Cetra utopia. Cloud as a Soldier is supposed to be a false memory, like he’s a remake of Zack. Sephiroth is a remake of Genova. The proposed Neo Midgar is a remake, but also perhaps the biggest theme is that Shinra is trying to “remake” the Cetra promise land. Just as Rebirth means a new starting point, Remake has its own meaning , especially with the sequel theory. If it was actually a remake, why subtitle it that? Remakes don’t have “Remake” in their title.
Do you know that in FF7R material ulti + they have confirmed that when Cloud saw Aerith first time on loveless street, he recognised her face and that caused a noise in his head and then saw hallucination of Sephi telling him "you can't save anyone".?
@@Fragmentsinfractals488 Cloud didn't recognised Aerith bcoz of Jenova. He remembered Aerith first and then Sephi interrupts his memory via Jenova causing the noise in Cloud's head.
When you bring Aerith home and she comes downstairs with the flower baskets it doesn’t come off as anything noteworthy initially but if you go up to her door she’ll say something like “I swear I put them here” meaning she didn’t just grab a couple baskets and come back, she only owns 2 flower baskets, you could argue one of them is for her mother but if they’re both kept in Aeriths room it’s probably more likely she made one for her and one for Cloud before meeting him
Great theory! I’ve had similar thoughts since my own play through, and you gave me more evidence for this. Another thing to consider is that the whispers only made themselves known to Cloud after Aerith grabbed his arm. This leads me to believe that the whispers only reveal themselves to individuals who have significantly deviated from the original world line. Quick recap of everyone who can see the whispers: Aerith, Cloud, Barret, Tifa, Wedge, Biggs, Jessie, and Rufus Shinra. Aerith is the first person we know of to have been targeted by the whispers, with Cloud joining the list shortly after. The rest of avalanche likely got included as a result of being in close proximity with someone who was already deviating from the world line. As for Rufus, he might be able to see them as a result of his battle with Cloud, which I don’t believe ever happened in the original. One thing I want to mention is that the whispers are mentioned to have been born from the planet itself. This leads me to believe that the planet is in someway ok with how the story turned out in the original. Therefore the vision of the future Cloud had could just be a leakage of the life stream’s memory that he can pick up on due to his exposure to mako. As such I believe the whispers were put into action by someone who has a strong connection with the life stream and would have the most reason to change the future. I don’t know too much about the original games, but I’m pretty sure that the citizens of the planet have been through at least 2 separate apocalypse scenarios, those being meteor and the disease from advent children. Furthermore the only two characters who have a strong connection to the life stream are Aerith and Sephiroth. I don’t know much about Sephiroth’s original intentions to rule him out, but I believe it is likely that Aerith, upon seeing what the future people went through, decides to change the future. The only question is did she get the memories from the life stream or did she go back in time?
Midgar was nearly destroyed when meteor almost crashed into it. It would make sense that shinra could potentially abandon it. Seeing it overrun shouldnt be seen as humans are pretty much extinct.
@@tortsauce It is now the "bad ending" because this hack Nomura needed an excuse to shit on the OG and justify his obsession with time ghosts fitting into FF7.
My thought is that the OG ending, while not ideal, is actually a “good” outcome. If it wasn’t then why would Sephiroth need to change the timeline to begin with? Sephiroth’s goal is to unbind destiny so he can create an ideal outcome for himself. Period. This means that no one is safe. 😅
I don't think Aerith is going to die this time. That song Hollow is clearly from og Cloud's perspective and how he is begging for a new chance to save Aerith. That song seems to be foreshadowing what is going to happen in the future and i think that this might be one of the biggest plot changes. Aerith dying again wouldn't have any shock value anymore. However this might mean that this time it is Tifa and Barret who are in danger. We did get a vision of Sephiroth killing them both in remake and Cloud was right there and he was completely powerless to do anything about it. I have a feeling that atleast one of them is going to die, maybe saving Aerith and dying in her stead. Also Sephiroth gave Cloud a cryptic message. "Seven seconds till the end. Time enough for you, perhaps. But what will you do with it? Let's see." It takes exactly 7 seconds for Sephiroth to kill Aerith in the og game. Maybe this is just a coincidence, but i think not. I have a feeling that either Tifa or Barret saves Aerith but end up dying causing Cloud a major emotional damage.
Tifa and barret can try to save aerith but the arbiter of fate will still claim aerith like they did wedge. Even when barret got stab by sephiroth, they healed barret to save him because it wasnt his time. Mean aerith cannot escape her fate.
@@brucey5585 the Arbiter of fate is already destroyed. There is nothing that can keep the og fate intact. Zack is alive now and so is Biggs. Also Stamp (that shinra dog mascot is entirely different dog breed now)
Aerith dying would still have tremendous shock value to me if, in rebirth, they reveal this theory to the player to be true, meaning the characters all know what’s going to happen and are actively trying to stop it from happening, together, but in the end she still dies. I think I would be just as heartbroken as the first time, because isn’t that what we are all hoping for? The “good outcome?” You could even say it seems that the characters are as invested in that outcome as we are, and vice versa. After 27 years, all of us still hoping like hell we can change the past. 🐚
its pretty clear theres 3 timeline now right the original time line the one we are currently playing where zack is dead and now a 3rd one where zack survives. what if aerith knows she has to die to use holy to stop meteor but so does sephiroth now that he controls the fate keeper dudes so he actually refuses to kill her and aerith convinces cloud to kill her and cloud agrees. Sephiroth tries to protect aerith just at that point multiverse 3 zacks timeline some how merges with this one and zack arrives just in time to see cloud kill aerith and joins sephiroths side. due to not realising aerith wanted cloud to kill her but eventually completely loses his mind wanting to merge all 3 multiverses thus forcing cloud and sephiroth to fight against him
i would say the reason cloud can see the ftur too is because of jenova cells who is connected to the life stream as she's connected to the dark life stream that sephiroth is manipulating but i am just speculating
This was a great video. I was already convinced that aerith has memories from the original game's timeline, but the way you edited the clips from the remake and explained it, there really is no doubt. Aerith knows what is going to happen, including that Sephiroth will kill her. With the ending of remake, I hope the new story will have different outcomes than the original game.
Check out the hints about Holy by Bugenhagen in forgotten city ff7og. Aerith and Holy rebooted everything at the end of ff7og, I really think this is what has happened. End of ff7ccr = start of ff7og and end of ff7og = start of ff7R. The subtle differences in the various start / end and even ff7ccr post credit scene are also strongly hinting at a restarted timeline which had to be remade. 🤔
You totally articulated alot of what I'm thinking. Although I'm stuck on the parallel timeline theory. I believe with clouds relapses, he is seeing glances of the previous timeline, and for some reason aerith has a working knowledge of it all. I also believe it will play out as a second chance for everyone. As you put it, we'll get the "good ending" 😀
Maybe by I fusing solders in mako. hoJo unknowingly started recreated off versions of the cetra. Similar planet communicating capabilities but because thensolders weren’t born with this spirituality they don’t know how to wield it. Instead receiving fragments of history and future at random times. Maybe cloud will learn how to tune this and become a neo ancient thus saving the planet again somehow
I am writing this before the video so we may come to the same conclusion. I think the reason for Aeirth could see the future is because of her Cetra heirtage. Now hear me out! So it is no secret that the Cetra's has this special trait to interact with the lifestream. But in the end of the Advert, Sephiroth had merge his life to the lifestream. Forging a strong bond between the lifestream and life. Now in death there is no boundary of time as many myths and stories pointed out. So what if Sephiroth found a way to transfer his consciousness not to just another body, but to his past. He transfer his consciousness to a certain point between the Neilheim incident to events prior to Midgar which cause the whisper of fates to become disturb. Realizing what Sephiroth is planning, Aeirth decided to do the same thing. This is why the Whispers of Fate were bothering her in the beginning as she wasn't supposed to know about the future! The only reason they stop was because time started restoring itself when Sephiroth had Avalanche fight the Whispers. Because of their actions, the timeline is now broken to different fractions which could lead to a path where Sephiroth achieve his goal of wiping out all of humanity. Sound stupid?
I think Cloud is involved in all these flashback moments bc he fell into the life stream when he gave the black materia to Sephiroth in the original. Also, Sephiroth himself has a hold on Cloud and his memories/mental state. They're intertwined due to Cloud's memories of Sephiroth and Jenova cells.
On Cloud having an headache episode when Aerith says Zacks name, Devs said this is because he doesn't like that Aeroth was on a date with someone else in the exact same spot. So, you can leave that one out.
This got me thinking. The original OG final fantasy 7 ending always felt like I got the bad ending. Remember at the end when you get a flash of all of the characters faces with Aeris face being the last face you see ? Then the end right? Then we get her face again at the start of this one right? Maybe the time loop? Regardless this is a true sequel. Finally a chance to do it right and save everyone. Especially Aeris.
Remasters are actually always the source material if possible, there shouldn't be any ambiguity about remasters, they exist in many forms of media and all follow the same rules. It's strictly "remakes" where there is any ambiguity because the term is so vague and can be used in so many ways.
I genuinely think ff7r is a sequel and all the events are playing out again but this time something or someone is messing around with the timeline, had you heard the 3 sephiroth theory you got Sephiroth who is actually Genova, sephiroth himself and sephiroth from 1997 game, I like it alot. I'm so far not a huge fan of what's happened in ff7r I was hoping for a 1 to 1.5 remake with the story just add new content.
The way I see it is that the lifestream resurrected both Aerith and Sephiroth into a new timeline, meaning that the ones we see in FF7 Remake are the same people as the ones from the original compilation timeline This does however raise a question: If they're the originals does this imply that there's other Aerith and Sephiroth "native" from the new timeline?
Love the video! I’m replaying through Remake right now, and I noticed a lot of these things. I wondered if it was my imagination! As a huge fan of Crisis Core, I’m curious to see in the next games how much of Aerith’s actions are reminiscing about Zack.
Is Aerith an unsent? Just like Auron in Final Fantasy X. He was able to be a "real person" along for the ride. Hmmmmm I'm going to have to play this game again for the 100th time again to see all the things that I missed.
She could be Gaia’s version. FFX and VII have been said to take place a long time apart but in the same universe, and (SPOILER) Sephiroth reveals at the end of 7R that this planet’s lifestream as actually only one of millions that will return to a ‘greater lifestream’ upon the death of the planet. It could be possible that the Farplane is Spira’s version of the Lifestream, and in turn whatever Aerith is here could be the Lifestream’s version of the unsent. Like the Lifestream is copying the Farplane’s homework.

I like the idea that aerith used and influenced the life stream to make a new midgar and trapping those who were still alive and somewhat brainwashed into reliving past events but there is a problem with this theory marlin would be older if that was the case
Bruh anyone remember mk9 in 2011? The same happened here.. the armageddon happened so raiden sent a messege to his past self to prevent certain events from happening Also not to mention raiden was the god of thunder which is kinda similar to being the last ancient
Well, finally I see someone talking about this, but maybe you should have mention the part where you fight the arbiters of fate, where you are literally getting flashbacks from the original game 24/7, and Aerith saying "That's our world if we fail here today"
the question is: how many times has she gone through these events? what if...the OG was just 1 of her "playthroughs", out of the millions of times she has gone through the same events with different eventualities?
I think she knows. She’s minimizing damage where she can, and setting up things past her, but knows her death has to happen. I’m going to be so pissed when she dies. Again.
There is no "maybe" to whether or not Barret is right. I'm pretty sure he's repeatedly proven correct several times by different sources and in different ways.
I think Aerith will play bigger role in this FFVII version. Probably won't die this time so I can't wait how they will solve Holy plot because her death was essential for it to work. Also Cloud is not a SOLDIER, never was. But yes, he was expose to Mako
Im a Tifa guy but god damn I understand why people like Aerith after the playing Remake Devs: Sir we made Aerith so lovable this game many people will be depress when we killed her Director: Fine I dont need the guilt of making them suffer... or.... We need Advent Children 2 after this game when it finishes
My theory is that we are playing Cloud that fell into the lifestream, he is in a comma trying to change the events he couldn't so aerith is trying to help cloud to get his head in order, that's why cloud can see the "future" isn't the future they are things that already happened
i always believe that in the Rebirth PV when Seph said that "i killed her once already", or something like that, he was talking about Aerith, meaning Seph also "knows", this video kinda confirmed it for me...
Clouds first run in with Sephiroth what are you here I killed you with my own gasp... he was not supposed to remember it was him that defeated Sephiroth. They are bound Sephiroth mentioned he needed Cloud to live, live to Remember Sephiroth so he may live in the life-stream something is way different and I need to know what.
Lol Wall Market was a great part and a terrible part of the game for me. Its great for the obviously reasons, Hell House included, but terrible for the fact it has Hell House. I stopped even trying to slog my way through a hard mode playthrough at that boss. I didn't like the combat, played 2/3 of the game on easy so I could play more than 2 hours without throwing my controller across the room... dont know how I made it to chapter 9 in hard mode in the first place tbh. Also in future parts, I'd love for them to kill off Aerith, just cause pretty much everyone is expecting her to survive the story at this point, boy will it hurt to see her die again, expecting the opposite to happen.
So wow, right off the bat you get a fact wrong. It might be called FFVII Remake but it is (wait for it) A SEQUEL. The events of the PSX original title still happened and that is how Aerith knows everything and why Sephiroth is fighting infinitely harder than he did in the original.
I think aerith has to die to save the world but sephiroth is gonna make cloud do it as sephiroth knows how it all plays out and doesn’t do it to make sure his meteor hits and aerith isnt in the life stream to stop it
I've never liked Aerith(I do not hate her) but her sweetness FEELS fraudulent to me and the facade she puts up of ignorance annoys me personally. Also the why/how of affections for Cloud bother me. Not even coming as a Zack fan but she's kinda grimey imo
This is the first comment I read on this video, and the first thought that came to mind after reading is that she’s still going to die in rebirth 💔
She could’ve have because AC exists and that exact sephiroth came to remakes timeline.
Hamaguchi can do whatever he wants with the story so long as I get my cool underwater hi-def submarine fight. 😊

I think everyone familiar with the original immediately understood this . But then Ultimania was released, where Nojima said that this scene would be understandable for people who know the fate of Aerith in the original, which makes it not a theory, but a fact.
No she's implying its not real, implying this is all a memory of Cloud

The biggest hint of this theory is that the opening scene of the original pans in on Aerith looking at the leaking mako pipe. Her eyes are already open. In the end of ff7 og they showed the same scene but Aerith is opening her eyes. The ending of ff7 matches up with the beginning of remake because Aerith is opening her eyes instead of them already being opened.
I think that's the koment she gets the memories from the future as well
This is a game that really is worth doing a second play through. Apart from that it’s still awesome, you definitely get to see a lot of things you missed the first go-around. Especially with Aerith.

This reminds me of Rika Furue from Higurashi with reliving the certain part of the tineline over andd over again
So much thought and quality goes into the videos from this channel. Love it!
Oooh please get to the next one soon, with Zack and world lines like you say at the end - I'm hungry! Nice work on this one, thanks ✨
@@sindelio agree
Holy smokes! Great video i was aware of most of this theory but you provided some great extra details such as the pose in the garden being the same pose from the o.g.
This is an awesome breakdown. Big time props to you
Great video but I think the answer is less concrete than "it all happened before." With the lifesteam being annihilated by mako reactors I don't see how the cycle can repeat and sustain the planet through multiple iterations or timelines.
Or Aerith travelled back in time through the lifestream after she died, Sephiroth followed her.
Hey, you pronounced Cait Sith correctly! That's awesome!
She trys to open up to Cloud about something, perhaps the knowledge she has, but then Cloud fills the silence with “You need to cherish this moment.”
Obviously she realizes something in Cosmo Canyon when she confides that she really is alone, Cloud says something like, can’t we be here for you, and she just turns away from him, perhaps already knowing that she would not be able to be saved by them in the end.
Aerith could be in a time loop, fighting Sephiroth over and over
I really love your avatar and your voice, your channel is so underrated
The Noise is JENOVA , trying to rewrite his mind so he won't get off the Path.
But he will this time
@@Fragmentsinfractals488 Cloud didn't recognised Aerith bcoz of Jenova. He remembered Aerith first and then Sephi interrupts his memory via Jenova causing the noise in Cloud's head.
Makes total sense. Which is why toward the end of the game her memories of the future was fading due to the changes in the timeline and other futures.
Whoa wait a minute, I never noticed that when Cloud tries to grab her hand she turns into pyreflies and his hand goes right through her
When you bring Aerith home and she comes downstairs with the flower baskets it doesn’t come off as anything noteworthy initially but if you go up to her door she’ll say something like “I swear I put them here” meaning she didn’t just grab a couple baskets and come back, she only owns 2 flower baskets, you could argue one of them is for her mother but if they’re both kept in Aeriths room it’s probably more likely she made one for her and one for Cloud before meeting him
Great theory!
I wouldn’t call the ending of the original FF7 the “bad” ending its more bittersweet.
Let's see."
It takes exactly 7 seconds for Sephiroth to kill Aerith in the og game.
@timothylux410 I would be more heartbroken this time around. Seriously...when Aerith is just "being Aerith" I get sad as FUCK knowing what happens 😢
This is a super solid vid.
Everyone survives this time . They are swinging the plot to happy ending this time which everyone will love
Rebuild of Final Fantasy 7. I'm so on board for this
its pretty clear theres 3 timeline now right the original time line the one we are currently playing where zack is dead and now a 3rd one where zack survives. what if aerith knows she has to die to use holy to stop meteor but so does sephiroth now that he controls the fate keeper dudes so he actually refuses to kill her and aerith convinces cloud to kill her and cloud agrees.
And if Aerith does continue to live you bet it will be costly DLC somehow. XD
Aerith has knowledge of it all because OG Aerith is giving her spoilers.
I can't take you theory seriously considering you misspelled basic things in the game.

Not to mention cloud also has a flash of aerith dropping the white materia when she dies.
I'm really glad our OG PS1 Aerith made a comeback in new remake, but also that menace Seph still hold grudge on Cloud after Advent Children.
Lots may thought Aerith sees own death of her, but reveals it's only mastermind of own mankind.
I'm still bummed that I couldn't call Aerith the slum drunk. 🤣
The way I see it is that the lifestream resurrected both Aerith and Sephiroth into a new timeline, meaning that the ones we see in FF7 Remake are the same people as the ones from the original compilation timeline
This does however raise a question: If they're the originals does this imply that there's other Aerith and Sephiroth "native" from the new timeline?
Love the video! I’m replaying through Remake right now, and I noticed a lot of these things. I wondered if it was my imagination!
As a huge fan of Crisis Core, I’m curious to see in the next games how much of Aerith’s actions are reminiscing about Zack.
I agree with everything you said. I’d say it’s a requel. Doesn’t the jenova cells in cloud have something to do with it too?

I wonder if cloud is going to die in aeriths place or even tifa. That would be the fastest to break cloud.
But she already saw the future in the original as well. Why didn't she act that way then as well?
Agreed on wall market great video
Wall Market was outstanding
Bruh anyone remember mk9 in 2011? The same happened here.. the armageddon happened so raiden sent a messege to his past self to prevent certain events from happening
Also not to mention raiden was the god of thunder which is kinda similar to being the last ancient
Yeah it’s no coincidence that sephiroth was the only other person who knew the future
I think she knows. She’s minimizing damage where she can, and setting up things past her, but knows her death has to happen. I’m going to be so pissed when she dies. Again.
6:43! 😂😂😂😂 The dedication fam! I feel it 🤣🤣
There is no "maybe" to whether or not Barret is right.
Im a Tifa guy but god damn I understand why people like Aerith after the playing Remake
Devs: Sir we made Aerith so lovable this game many people will be depress when we killed her
Director: Fine I dont need the guilt of making them suffer... or....
We need Advent Children 2 after this game when it finishes
Amazing Video!🔥🔥🔥
My theory is that we are playing Cloud that fell into the lifestream, he is in a comma trying to change the events he couldn't so aerith is trying to help cloud to get his head in order, that's why cloud can see the "future" isn't the future they are things that already happened
I knew it! The whole time I was wondering why she was acting weird.
i always believe that in the Rebirth PV when Seph said that "i killed her once already", or something like that, he was talking about Aerith, meaning Seph also "knows", this video kinda confirmed it for me...
Aerith is basically pulling a Jesus Christ in this version.
*eyes glowing*
SHE KNOWS TOO MUCH
*takes out suppressed pistol*
Is Advent Children Canon? Because they showed Aerith with Zack together 🥺
Yes. All of the compilation is still canon. That's why Ever Crisis is being made.
Yup! Advent Children takes places before FF7 Remake’s timeline!
Aertih is the new Artemesia😂🙏 she knows everything but she is good!
Aerith traded her life for zacks
You're going to have a wild time now that Rebirth is out, and much of this is supported in Rebirth.
Love this video
imo, aerith got changed since crisis core is consider cannon while release after ff7
So they dropped the pillar on top of sector 7, how about all the people on top of that pillar?
Jessie's dad and mom and all those other people.
ummm wtf is a seer? It's defined as a whisper in-game.
He was referring to the past when he threw Sephiroth into the lifestream
Holy rebooting sh&t? Well.... thats actually quite a good hypothesis!
That also means that she probably won't die this time around, as otherwise it would be a never ending loop. 🤭
God i just hope her and cloud have a happy ending 😅
do i got news for you
Will we save Aerith...???
Doomguy is coming to save her.
The streets will flow with the blood of the nonbelievers.
I like the video, but the character is very odd.. why is he wearing headphones? what is that a Safari helmet on the back?
I just talked about many of the things you said with a co worker 1 hour ago lol. Weird.
Setting thunder to your def is key. If your materia is lvld you can absorb most of this attacks. Cast bio on it right at the start.
So wow, right off the bat you get a fact wrong. It might be called FFVII Remake but it is (wait for it) A SEQUEL. The events of the PSX original title still happened and that is how Aerith knows everything and why Sephiroth is fighting infinitely harder than he did in the original.
Seer's.. you mean dollar store
Dementors
Nah Aerith is playing thru again and this time she's writing things differently 😁
I think aerith has to die to save the world but sephiroth is gonna make cloud do it as sephiroth knows how it all plays out and doesn’t do it to make sure his meteor hits and aerith isnt in the life stream to stop it
Ff7 content 👍
Know body even knows what this is...is it a remake, a reboot , a sequel, does the og no longer count as cannon, is this the true remake smh
I've never liked Aerith(I do not hate her) but her sweetness FEELS fraudulent to me and the facade she puts up of ignorance annoys me personally. Also the why/how of affections for Cloud bother me. Not even coming as a Zack fan but she's kinda grimey imo
I hate that people are accepting this new absolute nonsense with timelines.
Fun fact, whether it's a remaster or remake, it still sucked.
Did anyone even ask for a sequel
Did anybody ask for your comment?
