if i may interject with my own spin on the master being a version of sora grooming our version for possession, perhaps the MoM's goal wasnt to simply prepare sora as a physical vessel to house pure light, but as a vessel that can use both darkness and light? after all, we dont know what happened to the theoretical MoM-sora, but we do know that Ours was literally a humanoid heartless from the timeframe of the close of kh1 to the begining of KH2. meaning, its possible even after he was restored to being whole via merging with roxas that his body, despite his primary affiliation being light was still in fact made from darkness. in fact, i'd argue that anti and range form points straight to that. for all intents and purposes, sora is a whole person, human by all metrics, but then again, Ansem Seeker of darkness also seemed human enough visually to pass for normal if he wasn't actively trying to broadcast his intentions and corrupt nature.

Something I don't see people bring up anymore, is that the Foreteller's original JP voice actors were actually the same VAs for characters we already know in the series! I believe they were placeholders at first, but there seem to be some ties. Ira was voiced by Riku's VA, Ava by Kairi's VA. Aced was voiced by Terra's VA, Gula by Ven/Roxas's VA, and Invi by Aqua's VA. Invi especially, with her role being "observation" reminds me explicitly of Aqua being told my Master Eraqus to keep watch over both Ven & Terra. Being a "tattletale" was in line for BOTH characters, each at the request of their respected master at the time. [Something else that stood out to me from Back Cover is that Gula was the one who decided to go out and forge the x-blade, which has only been held/used by Ventus-Vanitas, Xehanort, and Sora so far, but that's not the topic in this video lol] Food for thought!

Currently, I am only a minute into this video, and I agree with you. Let the Master of Masters be an original character. He can have some sort of connection with an existing character, maybe even a relation by blood, but the Master of Masters should not be Sora, or Goofy, or Demyx, or ANYONE ELSE!!!! The Master, along with the Foretellers should be their own original characters (without the need of possessing another body). The only exception I would accept is if somehow Ava is Kairi's grandmother. That's it. Anyways, now that my ranting is out for the public to criticize, time to watch the rest of the video.

As a quick reminder to anyone who might have forgotten: Ventus and Vanitus are literally two halves of the same being. Master Xehenort used No Name to split the Darkness from Ventus. That’s why, I think, Ventus was able to accept Vanitus’ decision. Because he knows Light cannot exist without Darkness, and Darkness cannot thrive with the Light. Seeing much of this theory is helping me to understand just how saturated in Light Sora is, as he’s one of, I wanna say, two known individuals who retained some level of Self after being turned into a Heartless. Even if he was only a Shadow, he still _remembered._

Here's a Thing. I think The Light, like the Ancient Darkness is Time Transcended. And Riku and Sora also are Time Transcended from their Hearts leaving their Bodies. And in the Future, Riku is a Master. Which means Riku's Light can bequeath a Keyblade, even if Riku hadn't reached that point causally yet. Riku's Light wanted to protect Sora from himself. So that Sora could save Riku from the Darkness. This also means Sora and Riku cannot be metaphysically separated. Wherever Sora goes, Riku metaphysically follows. There is no Barrier (the Realm of Darkness, the Final World) that Sora and Riku cannot break through. Therefore, The Master can bring His Light to any Fiction.

I've never stood by the Sora is MoM theory but this would've been the biggest advocate for it had you not added the last couple of points. I love this and if this were how it happened i'd be happy with it.

I'd much rather Demyx be M.o.M. than Sora. Also, Terra never claimed to be Riku's master or have taught him anything. He simply said "There is nothing more I can teach you" in acknowledgement of the fact that Riku had learned all he needed to know on his own.

Listen. I’m with it. I came to the same conclusion after hearing the MoM’s stories about his past.

I delved into it more and yeah, you're right, a lot of people seem to think that Luxu is the traitor. Why? I'm so confused, in fact everyone seems to think it's one of the Foretellers, but nobody thinks it's MoM himself. He's the one who told them, filling their Hearts with doubt and spurring their division leading up to the Keyblade War. He already revealed to Luxu that he planned on using them along with himself to trap seven of the Thirteen Original Darknesses, but to do that one's Heart needs to be tainted with Darkness first. The Dark Chirithy (or Nightmare for those who've played DDD) is MoM's! MoM is the traitor! I have looked over the entiriety of KH lore several times and it is literally the only obvious answer! He also f***ing groomed Xehanort into using the Darkness too! Why does nobody suspect this guy after all the shady stuff he's done?! Anyways sorry about ranting about a portion of the opening minute. Great video btw.

I believe the Master of Master is not a Fighter but more of an Scientist. If he really is a Version of Sora then he would be Soras Original Nobody, you know the One that would really look like Sora, the Version that should have Originally Spawned when Sora got turned into a Hearthless. MoM name could be Rupxes because of The SUPER-X on the Box and it sounds similar to the Name Roxas. Also Ava is the Original Namine. We still don’t know why Namine- Kairis Nobody looks so different and if we apply the same Logic of the Ventus-Sora-Roxas Case then that would mean that Ava pulled something similar to Protect and Connect to Kairi. Something like a Ava-Kairi-Namine Case😮

So did MasterofMasters pulled a fcking Kessler move?! (Infamous series) Unable to beat an incoming threat he resorts to run away until it's too late and travelled back in time, Rewrites history and the characters he knows about throughout his history and gets involved in their lives, just to avoid a great disaster shaping Sora into an warrior that can stand up against said threat in the upcoming future.

Thinking out loud again. Sora and everyone could be stuck in a perpetual time loop. If he stops Sora for obtaining a keyblade then the time loop will rupture and break. I think this works whether Sora is MoM or not. Sora had to shed his body and he/his heart became pure light to be able to time travel. They wear the robes because with keeping darkness out, it keeps light in, helping him maintain a physical form. He might not have a real body any more. Sora is very prideful. Because of his pride, he has followed his heart and perpetuated the contents/story of all the games. One day he finally learns how much he got in the way of letting nature take its course. Like interfering with the world order thing. He greatly impacts EVERY place he goes to. Regardless of how hard he "tries" not to. He then travels back in time, and takes up the role of Master of Masters. But the longer he spends time traveling, and without his physical form, it could begin to take its toll, affecting him and his personality even. Yozora is an outside force attempting to pull them all out of said time loop. Again, all just speculation and letting my mind wander a bit. I love reading every ones theories on this game. It reminds me of being a child again, reading Kingdom Hearts forums.

Just thinking out loud. The black box. Could it contain Superbia themself? Like containing the actual body/character of whomever Pride is going to be? Like its literally labeled Xsuper, it could be that on the nose. Or more eyeballs. I could see it being a computer / database. But I can see it now, when they finally open the chest, the camera slowly pans up from behind the chest as the heavy lid slams open. A hand emerges, and then another. A robed figure as a lion emerges. Or the rest of the XIII darkness's. Or both.

I do think M.o.M. is a being of light. 1. That scene, ya know, where it flashes light when he "says" his name. 2. The black robes are made to ward off darkness. To keep the darkness out. So I think its reasonable to assume that it will also keep LIGHT in. Contained, like a vessel. Thats why we can't see Mommy's face.

Arent they all traitors? IIRC they all did something to go against what they were told. And the mere mention of there going to be a traitor created the traitor.

i think your theory is interesting, in that it would be very possible for the MoM to have abused the power of waking / broken a nature taboo. but i think it's more interesting if that makes Sora and MoM narrative foils with one another rather than actually the same person. like you say at the start, it's more interesting to me if MoM is no one we know so far, or at least no one we knew when he was first introduced. i also think that MoM being a pure light can't (or at least shouldn't) coexist with him being Sora, not because it would mean Sora loses his unique aspect as the "dull, ordinary boy" who is there through chance and his ability to connect to others

I am happy to finally see a theory video that has a similar theory as me. I also have been telling friends that I think the Master used the power of waking and this is why he has vanished. I however think that whats in the box, very well could be his world and his people possibly. He returned his world and people from darkness and stored them within this box (something like a bag of holding) for a later time. If thats to far fetched, which I think it could be possible, its a catalyst that will allow him to return to that realm, knowing the rules of the power of waking, the box needs to be left unopened until the right time, his and possibly Sora’s return to there reality.

I am okay with MoM being a whole different character tbh, the Demyx theory could work as well considering that he was stronger than what anyone anticipated, even if his fights are cheap. But i could see Demyx being one of the main darknesses in the end, like Vanitas. Sora being the master of masters does line up pretty well, though at the beginning Sora had no master, but we could argue that Yensid was technically Sora’s master in name. Yensid was a retired keyblade master and was training Mickey. While he wasnt there in the beginning, he had helped Sora with some of his training alittle and guided him to the direction needed.

The master of masters changed the keyblade war, that was evident by making Union Cross.

The Master of Masters is someone we know, because if it was a new charcter thatll diminish his mysterious personality. He already said he was there in Union Cross, if anything he may be the player character. Where in the player character time, there was no master of masters. It was him and his friends. Now if there is no master of masters then the foretellers are likely regular people like him with strong hearts.

Ik we all want sora as the MoM but im stating to feel maybe luxu is the master of master because he is sending him to do all these tasks with no master and he is called the traitor while his friends become darkness like how the master of master talks to darkness like a old friend idk its a theory 😅

I like the concept of the video, and you even went as far as to have relevant facts and evidence that may point in that direction, but I don't believe the MoM to be Sora....my own personal and favorite theory is that the MoM pulled a Xehanort and split himself in two. I think that Demyx and Luxord may be separate parts of the same person.
