Haha same. It's just so much more convenient. I have a G502 and the scroll will goes in clicks, so one click = one weapon swap, instead of guessing how far to spin it.

I absolutely love Razer products.
I've bought DeathAdder like five or six years ago and turns out those products are designed not to last too long, so every year I bring it to the warranty service and get a new one. According to local law, when you get a new one, the warranty starts again from day 0. Seriously, I'm using fourth or fifth mouse for the same money.

LTT hit gold with this channel format. The team gets to show off their knowledge and personality in a casual-ass format and it’s so good.
8:00 something these reviews NEVER seem to mention: the on board profiles DONT SAVE THE RGB TO THE DEVICE.
At least for razer stuff, only the key bindings are saved. Not some of the more advanced macros/functions and not the custom RGB patterns.
It was a real bummer to find that out when I went to bring mine to work.
You are right, microphone mute function for an exemple dont`t work without synapse, and just the spectrum cycle of RGB will work, it`s a thing at least, but not the ideal like save the exact profile that i use in my device, i like the products and i never needed to use out of my rig, but it would be cool to at least save RGB stuff, shame on you Razer.

i understand this comment is way overdue but i had a mouse with profile saving problem from corsair, what needed to be done was a hard reset the mouse and it started saving profiles.

Just bought one of these. Opened the box, thought it was well packaged, good start. Plugged it in, thought it looked really nice, and felt comfortable. Set it up, mapped the buttons how I want. Started using it. Questioned why I never bought one sooner. Favourite mouse I've had. And I've had a lot of mice.
Just recieved mine today and so far so good. Fits perfectly in my hand and the clicks are fast and effortless. Definitely feels light and the cord is how all wired mice should come. It seems more responsive and smooth than my old corsair. 5/5 for me.

I love the editing, especially the aggressive box throwing focus.
The G502 and the G903 are the two gaming mice I can think of with the free-spinning scroll wheel installed. But on those, like most other logitech mice with this feature, it is a button to engage/disengage the free wheeling.

On the bottom of the mouse, there’s a button that switches your dpi. I like this personally because it gives you more options on the top of the mouse, unlike some mouses like mine right now (I don’t have the Razor mouse but what I’ve heard it’s pretty great).
Just bought the v2 last night & watched this after the fact as reassurance that my purchase wasn't a mistake.., let's just say I've been reassured :)

I have the g502 lightspeed from logitech and this flywheel design is great. You click the button right behind the wheel to unlock it and fly through vertical windows. It is a real benefit compared to other mice. The non-lightspeed version has it, too.
I like that style of video - although not a full review, this is more in depth than unbox therapy while still being entertaining
I had a DA several years ago. I still miss it but I need a wireless mouse. This is the ONLY mouse I have ever missed.

The 8’th button is in the bottom of the mouse next to the censor. It is used to chance profiles as it has memory.
Does it have a side-scroll button? If it does, they're probably counting that as the 8th button.

Ive had Deathadders for years. I tried a different mouse after my Deathadder Infrared got worn down, but it just wasn't the same. I don't like anyhting else Razer makes, but I love my Deathadder Elite.

After 2 years with my Elite I bought this one and I couldnt be happier, great mouse for the price.
My Razer Deathadder 3.5g (2009 lol) started playing up so I recently upgraded to the Deathadder V2 and it's been perfect.

I still use and love my original Death Adder. I have to say, I like the glossy sides much better than the rubberized ones on the next generation Chroma, that I tried.
Absolutely love this channel so much. So simple, but still fun and informational.
As a side note/question... I haven't used a Razer product in a while, I remember liking my original death adder years and years ago but it failed after only like a year or less of use. Does Razer still have that reputation of nice products but not reliable? Or have they gotten better over the years?
Good that Razer is working on improving their products. I ended up ditching their peripherals after my third Naga Chroma died in 4 years. Sad to hear the software still sucks.

I had my deathadder 2013 for 5 years and then got the Logitech superlight, never been so disappointed with the side buttons for paying $150 dollars. Prob going to get the deathadder V2.
Curious how long razer has had liftoff detection. I know steelseries has had variable lift off sensors for a while now. Doesnt sound like they've done anything particularly revolutionary here
They've had them for a while now the elite has them too I think the last one that was lacking that specific liftoff censor was the 2013 edition of the deathadder

Been a Deathadder user for a few years. I am a fidgety person and having the middle and thumb buttons so large makes it really easy to accidentally hit them. Glad to see them change the middle ones, but the thumb buttons are so easy to accidentally hit and they didn't change them which is a bit of a downside. But still looks like a worthwhile upgrade once mine dies
I’ve tried a million mice by this point (EC1/EC2/g502/Ironclaw/m65/outset AX/Scimitar/Naga + Naga Pro, couple others) but I always sorta come back round to using the DA line again.
Don’t get me wrong there are small tweaks to the shape or buttons I might make for my personal preference (the furthest side button closest to the left and right clicks I have a tough time comfortably reaching with my grip style/I’m not a big fan of the flair out at the front of the mouse on the right side as it can sorta get in the way of resting my ring/pinky fingers) but it’s a great shape for large-ish hands.

I had the Deathadder Elite Chroma and I loved it so much, but I play on a very low sens (40edpi) so I switched to the mm710 for the weight. I hate the buttons on the mm710 and the deathadder has the best side buttons and mouse clicks, I can't wait to get a v2, its going to be my favorite mouse.
Basilisk Ultimate/V2 is definitely worth a look. Lot improved vs the original. Even more so than Deathadder Elite to V2

The 8th button is some weird button on the scroll wheel that only clicks one way, but then that wouldnt make sense either, it would give the older deathadder elite 8 buttons as well. Just put your index finger on the left side of the scroll wheel and push.
I was (still am) in love with the feeling of the death adder. Then i bought a viper for Trying hard E-sport style, but now im thinking of the deathadder v2 should i stay? Or switch. This shit made me super confuced hahaha

The Deathadder V2, just like every other Razer mouse released from 2018 onward, does NOT save the RGB lighting settings to the mouse. The onboard memory is limited to the basic DPI, LOD etc. The most the mouse can remember in terms of lighting without Synapse 3 is brightness. The Deathadder Elite can remember RGB settings but nothing else. Don't really know why Razer are not allowing this on their more recent mice but it's frustrating because if you wan't anything other than spectrum cycling rainbow lights or off entirely, you need that awful Synapse 3 software running in the background at all times...
Maybe the eighth button is moving the mouse scroll wheel left or right, I remember having a mouse that had such a feature, maybe they also implemented it into this one
THANK GOD THEY FINALLY ADDED ONBOARD MEMORY! I've been waiting so long to be free from Synapse...

I had a Deathadder Elite for ONE YEAR and the left click started dying and since switched to the g502 lightspeed, never looked back.

Funny, my G703's clicks died within 2 years and the scroll wheen went nuts. Got it replaced with the g703 hero, but idk if l would ever buy logitech again. I do love the shape and it being both light and wireless

A lot of people overlook this, push the scroll wheel to the sides. The trinity has this feature in both left and right directions.
All I want to know is if they fixed the double clicking problem after a year of moderate use by changing the switches. It was the reason I stopped bothering with Razer in general - I got tired of throwing $70-90 away every year on a new mouse because my old one started double clicking.

the razer mamba chroma has this feature: they call it "Adjustable Click Force Technology"

This is the main reason I hate new Razer mice. The old ones had much higher need for pressure. I went from a Razer Naga Chroma to a Razer Naga Trinity and I hate it. Much heavier, click pressure is WAYY less, and the quality is just worse.
The Razer StarCraft 2 mouse let you do that.

I have the Deathadder Elite and use Linux. There is an (unofficial) Open Source project called Open Razer which is a Linux driver for these to control RGB etc. (without the mouse still works but you can't configure the colors).
So, after I configured it to stay green, I uninstalled the drivers and applications and since then the colors actually stay green even on other Linux devices (haven't tried Apple or Windows), and I can still configure the colors if I reinstall the software.
No idea how it works if it really doesn't have on board memory, but whatever.
i think its not onboard memory, but maybe his rewrite the firmware on chip
@@brenocampos100 could be the case too, haven't looked at the source (because I know shit about writing drivers), but pretty unexpected
I also use Deathadder elite on Ubuntu, it has only one profile stored in it. if you want to change it you have to use Razer software. But with newer one we might store different profiles(RGB styles and sensitivity) and you can change it on the fly. No need to use the software.

I usually only use 800 dpi so I could change the dpi buttons for in game use and only use the profile button on the bottom.
Still rockin the original Deathadder, it's been double clicking occasionally and the middle mouse button doesn't work anymore for years now. I think I've found my upgrade!
