Used this V2 version for a while now with the ELRS module on the back. Solid intermediate level remote! Haven’t felt the need to upgrade. Will say one of the solder joints on my gimbal broke off but it’s an easy fix. May have knocked it loose at one point. Nice review!
Great review! I was so nervous when you were deciding whether to fly that open-prop one around in your room… I think this radio is a fantastic value. At $60 it’s the cheapest good radio with ELRS, and honestly I don’t think higher end options like the Zorro are worth the added expense.
I agree..I was sold on the original T-lite. V2 makes it even better, but I feel like the Zorros and Commando 8s of the world has a place in a higher segment of the market(granted the T-lite does all the features as well).
Thanks for another informative video! I just bought one, getting into fpv with hdzero once the new goggles come out, likely starting with a tiny whoop, so getting a head start with a simulator in the mean time 👍
My T-lite V2 did not come with an SD card. It does not even have an SD card reader. I disassembled the device to search for any internal SD card slot, but could not find one.
@@OneManUnmanned No, I disassembled the whole remote. The plastic case has a slot under the antenna, but the PCB behind that slot does not have an SD card holder on it. I can send you photos if you want. The PCB does not have an SD card slot.
I think this radio beats all other radios below $100,00 mainly because it has hall sensor gimbals! That is a big plus compared to the other ones. I just wished they could put the lanyard thing there. BTW, it was very funny your face when you smashed the roof with the drone 🤣😆 I did that many times at home too, almost broke my tv once 🤣
Haha.. yeah, I saw my face and thought about editing it out, but nahh 😆 🤣. You're right about the bang for buck of this radio. It's a really good price point for its feature set.
As a tx16s owner, I like the tx12 as a backup or lighter travel second tx. It is about the same size as a Zorro with the extended battery attachment. I like it because of the screen placement, the battery life and the Jr module bay, so my modules are interchangeable with the tx16s. And the tx12 v2 comes with built in 250mw ELRS and hall sensor gimbals at just below $100. Should be good for pinchers too.
Just got the zorro but I feel it's a bit too big in the hands to hold comfortably for a long time, even though I have pretty large hands.. I really loved the formfactor of the betafpv literadio but the gimbals were trash and gave me jitter 1 month in.
Hello: If iam right it is a 16 channel transmitter ?!. I asked myself how the 16 control channels are assigned too the physical controls ?. It seems that there are two little controls for all of the 16 channels . 4 Channels are assigned two the 4 axis of the contro switch and 4 channels two the 4 switches = 8 Chnnels at all. How two deal with the remaining 16 channels ? In case of a misunderstanding from myside, please explain. Thnanks in advance
Hi, like your review. Do you think it's possible to bind the toy drone using this transmitter. If so, would like to see a video on how to do it. Millions thanks.
It's up to you, but I was in your situation. If your V1 is working well, you could just buy a module and have the best of both worlds. The only downside to the V1 is that it doesn't have a robust power supply system, and anything over 200mw might put a strain on the entire system. I personally prefer my v2. I run stock power with the internal module for Tinywhoops and use the external bay at higher power for larger and long range drones.
I have alot of spi whoops and wondering what firmware this has? I am hearing 3.0+ and wondering if that is true can you go to elrs 2.0.0 to work with my spi receivers? Thanks for this awesome review. I have a T16s but need something to just throw in the bag and go when in a hurry to get some packs in.
If you have this radio, any drone that has an ELRS receiver will work. The determining factor on the drone will be your VTX(analong or digital). The Mobula6, Crux35, Smart35, Cinebot 30, and Nazgul5 are all good starter drones.
@@OneManUnmanned cool, so all i need is this radio controller and an ELRS receiver module on my drone and I'm set? And then I can always upgrade if I feel the need for longer range?
It really depends on your preference for size. They both operate pretty well. The TX 12 will have more features and upgrades available, like aluminum gimbals or full sized module bay.
Hello, I really appreciate your reviews very broken down. I had an issue with get pull requests and it doesn't automatically give me T-lite elrs option and it is not in the dropdown, any recommendations? Im literally trying to bind the Jumper Tlite V2 and the Pavo 25. So this video is exactly what Ive been looking for. Thank you
Everything I did in the video is exactly how I got it to bind with the radio. I start explaining it at 14:30. If you follow those steps, you should find the T-lite in there.
@@OneManUnmanned Hi! Didn't find it too ¿Are you sure you did not forget to mention something? Transmitter is not connected to the computer so it recognizes the model automatically or something? thank you!
The V1 works, and I’m sure you can find them used for cheap, but I would recommend the V2. I still use the V1 and run ELRS at 250mW, but I’m sure it’s straining the electrical system. At 100mW, I’ve never had an issue. If you find a deal on a V1 that you can’t refuse, then it might be worth picking up.

That's exactly the segment where this radio fits..You explained it perfectly.
Maybe we could use the two holes on top to attach something that a lanyard could hook onto. Not ideal but better than nothing
True..
No lanyard hook point? Incredibly bizarre
Great review of this lil bad boy 👍🤝
Yeah, kind of an oversight, but I guess they're using the same shell as the V1, which didn't have a hook either.
Thanks!

Hi, like your review. Do you think it's possible to bind the toy drone using this transmitter. If so, would like to see a video on how to do it. Millions thanks.
I think it would all depend on the protocol of the toy drone.
I am having trouble binding my jumper t lite to a spektrum ar631. The motor will not run. Do you have any advice?
I have the v1 so woukd it be better just to get the elrs module to put on it or better just to buy the v2 and just have 2 transmitters?

@@OneManUnmanned Great to here, even without flashing it? Sry for the questions, I'm new to the hobby.
Not sure if this is a dumb question, but if ELRS is built in to this radio, why would you mount an external ELRS on this?
It's a valid question.. The internal module is capable of only 100mw. If you want further range you'll need to use the external module and bay.

Yes, slightly better.
