The latest batch of these Jumper T-Lite radios have defective debounce capacitors on the buttons. There's pics around the internet of how to fix them, but it does fix the problem. Mine was defective out of the box and Jumper told me to take it apart and remove the debounce caps.
I pre-ordered as a backup to my tango 2 because I already had a nano module playing around. I wasnt aware at launch of the 25mw issue. Bummer. I guess I'll just use it for whoops, and let my little brother use it for sims
I was told they tested it again with a better quality battery (Sony VTC6) and were able to fly on 1W of power out to 5km down to 3.4v. So, much better if that is true. I need to get the battery to test that claim however. In any case, be sure to use a good battery regardless.
@@AlbertKimTV yeah! I'll definitely be testing it once I get mine in. Though definitely through concret buildings. I'm not trying to hike several kilometers to retrieve a quad.
I was waiting for this review as I knew it would be better than the others. Why do they even bother sending these products to those other guys for half-baked reviews? Seriously, what is wrong with them?
Ooh trim switches. I think most fixed wing pilots would rather use a big radio with a screen like the tx16s but if you want to build a fun wing it’s awesome that you could fly it with this radio. WINGS ROCK!
Yep, trim switches for those fixed wing pilots are always a good thing. I like how these buttons feel too. Good feedback and they feel solid. I still can't believe they sell this for so little. Yet people still complain this is too expensive? Shhheesh...
@@AlbertKimTV I would never think of this as expensive. I bought my tx16s for $140 and I felt like I committed a crime getting that radio for the price it is
Thank you for your time & effort put on this review! Might very well be the best review I've seen about this radio. Definitely the first I've seen mentioning there's a step-up in the external bay adapter (that finally explains something I was wondering), and showing the OpenTX build including CrossFire en Ghost support! Thank you! 🙏
I did a pre-order, but am still waiting. So it won't impact my decision anyway 🙈 But I've always wondered how the external modules would be powered from just 1S and how the support would be for the CrossFire protocol. So I'm very grateful 🙏
The Lollipop3 antenna is overall good but I have gotten a few duds. Maybe out of 35 antennas, 2 have been no good. I mainly used this antenna here because the stubby version saves space over the stock antenna and CP antennas are generally better than linear ones.
Do you have any specifics on the screw hardware used for the Hawkey Mount to the Jumper T Lite? What's on the website doesn't seem correct, I bought the M1.6 screws for example, and they're too skinny for the Jumper T Lite.
Hey Albert, you mention you use an M3 screw for the tripod part of the mount, is that correct? I just got this mount and don't understand how that tiny hole is supposed to fit a 1/4 - 20 tripod bolt in there. Does the hawkeye littlepilot a smaller mounting hole than the standard 1/4 - 20 tripod mount? I'm really having trouble figuring out what hardware I need to either mount a tripod bracket style mount or my actual Hawkeye Littlepilot that comes in on Tuesday. Any help would be appreciated!
@@AlbertKimTV Thank you, I've seen photos of people attaching a phone clamp mount to this, and most phone mounts just use a tripod mount size. I was wondering how they got that attached. At least my Hawkeye will work simply. Thanks for your response as always!
I like the feel of these much better. These are the same as the ones on the T12 Pro. Compared to the X-Lite, the throw is more on these but the spring tension is much more loose. If you prefer stiff spring tension you probably won't like the stock feel. However, you can adjust the spring tension inside (I pointed to the screws in the video). You can't adjust the tension on the X-Lite.
@@AlbertKimTV Thanks for the info. I like the tension of the X-lite, but would like more throw. I think I'll keep my eye on Jumper and see if they release a "Pro" version of the T-Lite like you suggested. FYI - One of the pilots in my local FPV club figured out how to loosen the tension on the X-lite gimbals, but I'm not sure how.
Thank you - more info here than anywhere else! Hope you can help with a question: any idea how to set up the 'gyro calibration' on Eachine/Volantex planes? I can bind using the V761 protocol, but find that they are wildly out when in manual mode - pulling heavily to the left/right - like they missed the original calibration step? It should be on channel 6, but not sure how to set up in OpenTx. Grateful if you've any ideas....
In manual mode the gyro isn't used so if the plane is veering off in a certain direction it means you need to manually trim the control surfaces and adjust the control rods.
Is it just me or did AK leave the clear plastic wrap over the screen on the Jumper T lite? I thought I saw it last video and I know I saw it this video.
I was considering a mod of having two 18650 batts in parallel on this T-lite. A wired external holder, some velcro. Same voltage but more oomph. See any problem?
You can just use an external powerbank for your external module. Might be a deal breaker for some ppl but if I can get 250 out of my crossfire rather than 25mh ......I'd say its totally worth throwing an extra powerbank in the go bag
I want to connect my full size crossfire module but with out all the adapters. I have the spektrum serial connector to solder the jumper harness to but I don't know which wires are which. I'm gonna power it externally so I'm only worried about the data wires. Could you tell me what each wire coming out of the jumper is? Thanks!
Good afternoon, do you think this radio will give compatibility issues with frsky recent receivers? I know from personal experience that the BETAFPV Literadio 2 se is a no go....
My Tango 2 with MPM installed internally is only 40 grams heavier than the T-lite and it runs Crossfire and actually has a decent battery. Much better option IMHO. But I love the gimbals and the crown jewel stick ends.
You pay about 3 times as much for the Tango 2 - not sure if I would compare it. I personally prefer the T-Lite simply because I don't use CRSF at all and mainly fly whoops/micros - so I don't need an external module at all. If you fly CRSF - then yes, obviously the Tango 2 is the better choice.
I still have to properly investigate if a good battery is what will make this radio the one I will want to switch to or not. If it turns out people are just using poor quality batteries then that can partially explain some stuff. Right now, I have to wait for my batteries to arrive.
@@stylesuxx Twice the price for radio without modules but that’s comparing apples to oranges and I wouldn't compare at all either. Others are comparing with Tango 2 in terms of weight. Wouldn't give up CRSF and larger battery. Tango 2 plus IRange would be about $200. T-lite plus Crossfire module would be just under $160.
@@pksteffen Ah, I had in mind the Tango 2 was around 200$... I just have the feeling that lots of people expect the Jumper T-Lite to be more than it actually is.
@@AlbertKimTV I can only recommend Panasonic NCR18650 cells - but make sure to buy them from a legit vendor - lots of fakes going around of the 18650 cells. You can also check your closest vape shop - they should have plenty high capacity, high discharge (maybe not super high) 18650 cells in stock.
Awesome review! Shouldnt an external lipo for crossfire solve the issue? I Always use external 3s lipo when i use crossfire on my nirvana or x9d. Also was it hard to mount the fullsize crossfire? Iam in the same boat having Only the fullsize crossfire. Would be great if i didnt need to buy Another module..

Thanks for the great review Albert, I've been waiting for a good lite radio this at this size and price point. It would make a nice second radio for quick portability. If a pro version for under $120 is made, that would much better.
whenever I connect the controller to the PC (win10) Controller starts to charge only , I don't even see any usb device in usb device manager , my pc is neglecting the remote controller so i am not able to use it in the flight simulator
I just setting and trial my jumper T-Lite dan TBS Nano...I set power in 250mW, after fly trial...the drone fly distance just 15-20 mtr and drop...Any suggestion, what is the problem?
Sure, you have to switch the goggles into legacy (V1) mode to work with all the drones that have the Vista or Air Unit. You'll also need to add a receiver to the drone. There are dozens of protocols that will work with the T-Lite so you have many options. I use Crossfire with my DJI drones.
Hey Albert, once again thanks for the videos. I just received my jumper t lite. I got a 3000mah flat top battery. Is it ok to charge the battery completely in the jumper? I lost my 18650 chargers so the only way I have to charge this battery is the transmitter. Just wondering if that’s ok since it will be my first time charging this battery. Thanks a bunch if you’re able to reply!
Yes, it is safe to charge in the Jumper as long as the cell is a good quality one. I heard some people used cheap fakes and the cells exploded. So be sure to use a high quality cell.
That problem sounds like a channel mapping mismatch issue. I know many pilots who use the T8SG v1 with those quads and others without any problem. You probably will need to make some settings changes in your radio to correct that problem.
Thanks for the reply, I will give it a go. after watching other videos I am wondering if it is turtle mode, is that possible? I have never seen what the Beta flight engine screen for turtle mode looks like. On mine 1 engine goes to full power while other just humming, keep up posted
Hi Albert, I Ordert one already. Actualy I got a FS-I6 and whoop with the crazybee f4 es Version, im Planing to buy a new copter in some Month, what did you Think is the best receiver what I can us with this Multiprotocol Modul? I buyed the 4in1 Version Greets from germany
No that won't help, since the voltage regulator is the bottleneck. Putting lithium cells in parallel is also something that should be discouraged. The cells need to be resistance matched and monitored by a BMS and it's best if there is a fuse in between the cells. It's a pain in the ass
Thx Al, how about a video on running sensor outputs on the main screen (eg: R168 RxBatt). I see there is a “Display” set up screen in the T-lite that theoretically supports this (and RSSI etc.), But I can’t get it to work. Cheers!

Hi. I'm not quite understanding your question. Are "stakes" referring to sticks? What are reversed? Motors? Props? Which receiver version of the Buzz do you have? Sorry, I need more information to help here.
Maybe the smaller modules will work OK as I think they use less voltage. I'm thinking I'll be putting the ghost lite on mine whenever that comes out. 🤔 As always Albert you bring out issues no one else noticed lol 👍👍
Albert has more experience and knowledge with RC stuff than a lot of those other guys who are just in it for the affiliate cash. It's kinda sad the community supports this channel so poorly. He does so much for us, but he doesn't get the respect he deserves.
Hi Albert. What max. output power can be set in the menu? They walk about 25mW at Banggood. But it is not clear if this is the max. setting. Looking forward to your feedback :o) Thanks for this great review!
The 25mW you've been hearing about refers to the external module setting but I haven't done conclusive testing on that yet without a proper battery. The internal multi-module power is fixed at 100mW and can not be changed.
@@AlbertKimTV Thanks for your quick response. I use the Jumper T8 plus v2. Supports up to 150mW. So I will keep the T8plus v2. Don't want to make a step back in case of output power. External Moduls are also easier to install on the T8plus. Thanks for your great reviews. One of ma favorite channels👍🏻
RE; Battery Min Threshold.... It's OpenTX so surely you should be able to accessRadio Setup then 3rd line down should read 'Battery Meter Range 6.0 - 8.0' If so, then lower the lesser figure so that radio DOESN'T shut down @ 3.3volts should be an easy enough cure??? Managed to (slightly) increase the run-time of my X9D+SE in a similar the same way... ;)
Yes, I know about that. I also tried that, however, the way the internal regulator is designed, the radio powers down when the voltage drops below 3.3v. It's not an openTX settings problem...
The best 18650 batts go to us vapers... Vtc6, 25r, vtc5, lg, pretty much all vape batts work great in these types of controllers... Just plz dont go on a buying frenzy and flood the market as all the vape batts are cloned alot with subpar cells
It's in the model settings first page half way down. Select all the switches and set them to the position you want as default and press and hold enter.
The problem is that the BEC in the module bay is integrated with the pins. I think the problem could also be the BEC on the mainboard before power gets to the step up.
For good vids on 18650s look to vapers. Basically they’re shorting the battery in controlled situations. They’re always on to who is making the best high drain constant current batts.
Great review 👍, waiting on mine to be delivered, just wondering if lua script functions will work, I have the sd card contents downloaded, I'm new to opentx
Hey there Albert, I really appreciate this review. I am using the frsky x9 lite because I like the smaller form factor, but recently the power button broke and I need to try to repair it. Recent frsky antics make me concerned though. As someone who has all xm+ and rxsr receivers and analog, I am trying to decide whether to stick with the X9 lite (tons of brand new used for sale out there) and my xjt/mpm module, spend the extra cash on a tango 2 (but I'd need the mpm module too), or get the tlite... Maybe I need to wait for a pro version of this. Hmm🤔
Can't recommend the T-Lite yet until I can do proper testing with the good 18650. Still waiting for that to ship to me. I would wait and see. If I can find the T-Lite to be useable with the Crossfire Nano TX to 1W on the good battery, I'll be switching away from the Tango2. But jury is still out. Stay tuned.
This one is not for me. I’ve got 5 radios but all i ever pick up is Tango 2. Everything else just feels awkward in my hands. I just swap modules if i want to use something other than crossfire.
AFAIK it won't. I have no idea what protocol it is using. Someone mentioned it is FHSS but that's not a protocol but a transmission scheme. Not the same.
@@AlbertKimTV ok thanks. I couldn’t find anything on it either. But it’s ok. Still want to get this for my sim practice time n also as my first transmitter. I can use it with my next drone. 😃

Hi Mark, there aren't any goggles in that price range that will work with people wearing glasses. The only one I was able to use with glasses is the Skyzone Cobra X but they are always sold out everywhere and the cost has jumped about 50% in the last 3 months. FPV components are rising fast right now. You can check out my Cobra X video here... th-cam.com/video/_cuOOjwhLf0/w-d-xo.html
I'm very interested in the lite versions of transmitters that have been coming out. I really enjoy my frsky qx7, however two things that really annoy me. Updating and accst going to access. But now that I got crossfire I'm pretty happy with my remote. One thing I'm happy you pointed out is the power draw and that's something that I think has been overlooked on other reviews.
I'm not sure about now since I haven't investigated this but back when I had the plane I could not get it to bind. But many more protocols have been added in the more than one year that has passed.
I just setting and trial my jumper T-Lite dan TBS Nano...I set power in 250mW, after fly trial...the drone fly distance just 15-20 mtr and drop...Any suggestion, what is the problem?
Try it with a higher quality 18650. I'm still investigating this but it seems there is a problem with the power system. I talked about this in the video. I guess you missed that part.
I have flown many planes with this controller with no issues but keep in mind it's a very small radio and the trim buttons are tiny which I've heard some fixed wing pilots don't like. It doesn't bother me, but it might be a problem for you.

Oh Jesus, I hope they get their quality problems solved. I want to buy something that works for a long time
I pre-ordered as a backup to my tango 2 because I already had a nano module playing around.
Thanks buddy... appreciate the support.
Thank you! 🙏
The devil is in the details. That's why the title of the video is what it is...
I did a pre-order, but am still waiting.
So it won't impact my decision anyway 🙈
But I've always wondered how the external modules would be powered from just 1S and how the support would be for the CrossFire protocol.
So I'm very grateful 🙏
Can you do a quick review or write an evaluation of the Foxeer Antenna Lollipop used on the Hawkeye? Why did you switch from the stock antenna?
The Lollipop3 antenna is overall good but I have gotten a few duds. Maybe out of 35 antennas, 2 have been no good. I mainly used this antenna here because the stubby version saves space over the stock antenna and CP antennas are generally better than linear ones.
@@AlbertKimTV Thanks for the input, I will consider doing the same then on the transmitter as well.
Do you have any specifics on the screw hardware used for the Hawkey Mount to the Jumper T Lite? What's on the website doesn't seem correct, I bought the M1.6 screws for example, and they're too skinny for the Jumper T Lite.
I used standard M2 screws. If they are saying M1.6, that's not correct.
Hi Albert, Thank you for your thorough review. You mention that it can be changed to mode 1. How easy is this modification?
It shouldn't be that difficult. Search TH-cam for Mode 1 Jumper T12 and the process will be the same.
@@AlbertKimTV You're the man! Thank you!
Finally i have found the radio i want to buy just beacuse it has hall effects and all in one radio
I think tango 2 is way overpriced
@@ecenarro all TBS products are overpriced
Tx16s? Color touch screen. But it is massive
Silly question... Would it work properly if I use a button 18650 battery? I see batteries used are flat on both sides.
Not sure, have not tried those.
The screw hole on the bottom of the hawkeye monitor is M3 sized. The screw to attach the bracket to the T-Lite is M2 sized.
@@AlbertKimTV Thank you, I've seen photos of people attaching a phone clamp mount to this, and most phone mounts just use a tripod mount size. I was wondering how they got that attached. At least my Hawkeye will work simply. Thanks for your response as always!
How would you rate the feel and throw of the gimbals as compared to the X-lite?
@@AlbertKimTV thank you 👍
Is it just me or did AK leave the clear plastic wrap over the screen on the Jumper T lite? I thought I saw it last video and I know I saw it this video.
I was considering a mod of having two 18650 batts in parallel on this T-lite. A wired external holder, some velcro. Same voltage but more oomph. See any problem?
i would like a pro version to have the two inner switches be buttons and the outer can be 3pos
You can just use an external powerbank for your external module. Might be a deal breaker for some ppl but if I can get 250 out of my crossfire rather than 25mh ......I'd say its totally worth throwing an extra powerbank in the go bag
😎
I want to connect my full size crossfire module but with out all the adapters. I have the spektrum serial connector to solder the jumper harness to but I don't know which wires are which. I'm gonna power it externally so I'm only worried about the data wires. Could you tell me what each wire coming out of the jumper is? Thanks!
I showed how to wire it in a diagram at about 15 minutes into the video. I guess you missed it.
@@AlbertKimTV oops. Sorry!
Good afternoon, do you think this radio will give compatibility issues with frsky recent receivers? I know from personal experience that the BETAFPV Literadio 2 se is a no go....
can i ask what screws use for monitor mounting holes?
Standard M2 screws will work.

Where can I buy the Ghost nano module?
@@AlbertKimTV Think you accidentally replied to wrong comment. But Tbh, i've scoured youtube after the Ghost Nano and i've never seen it, nly render images of it. I don't think it exists yet.
Do you think a battery mod can be done, if so would you consider making a video doing this, mine has just arrived today, paid extra as I needed it for all my Radiolink recievers
I think something might be able to be done but not sure how easy it will be. I think it will be complicated because the charging circuit is right in the middle of all this.
It has hall sensor gimbals too comparing to Lite Radio 2.
There's a lot of upgrades on the T-Lite compared to the LiteRadio 2.

This is my first radio Should I get the CC2500 version or the 4in1 version?
The 4in1 version will give you more options in the future.
If designing a way to directly mount, vs multiple adapters, might be worth adding in a 2S battery for just the Crossfire module.
Can't u just plug in a xt30 battery to the crossfire module or plug in a power brick to the remote would that power it?
Thanks for the great review Albert, I've been waiting for a good lite radio this at this size and price point. It would make a nice second radio for quick portability. If a pro version for under $120 is made, that would much better.
whenever I connect the controller to the PC (win10) Controller starts to charge only , I don't even see any usb device in usb device manager , my pc is neglecting the remote controller so i am not able to use it in the flight simulator
You need to change the setting in OpenTX to ask you to set it for Joystick mode. It seems to be stuck in charging only mode or storage mode.
Hey Albert. I can't figure out how to switch to mode 1. I moved the bar over but looks like I need to move a spring too? Any help?
Search for videos on how to do the mode 1 change on a T12. The process is the same.

I just setting and trial my jumper T-Lite dan TBS Nano...I set power in 250mW, after fly trial...the drone fly distance just 15-20 mtr and drop...Any suggestion, what is the problem?
I have question i ordered it, can i use it for plane?
Is it possible to use Jumper T-Lite with DJI Goggles V2 and FPV drones which support DJI protocol?
@@AlbertKimTV thanks, your responses add so much value to your channel. Thanks so much!

I am after this style of radio for rc car racing, can the gimbals be adjusted to use just for throttle and steering.
Adjusted in what way?
@@AlbertKimTV so the sticks return to the center and forward/back motion only on left gimbal and left/right only on right gimbal

Probably not unless someone sends one to me.
Does work well with mobula 7 and mobilite t7 ? I have t8sg v1 refuses to work properly, always sends motor 3 into full power and quad flips

Now will some one make a 3d print that allows you to add a parallel 18650 to handle the voltage sag?
You'll also need to modify the mainboard where the voltage regulator for the radio is.
@@AlbertKimTV not if it's parallel right? Same voltage twice the capacity, that will significantly reduce sag under load for CSFR
Now, it might mess with usb charging depending on how sofisticated is.
Any chance a 21700 or 20700 battery could be made to fit? People are talking about how loose the 18650 is.
No that won't help, since the voltage regulator is the bottleneck. Putting lithium cells in parallel is also something that should be discouraged. The cells need to be resistance matched and monitored by a BMS and it's best if there is a fuse in between the cells. It's a pain in the ass
Great video!
I have a question: Can I use the Jumper T-lite with the Beta65s Tiny whoop?

If that is an Access receiver it won't work.
Nice review! I also see an idea that the monitor mount could be a lanyard holder if your not using the monitor.
Yeah, that could be easily modified for that purpose.
Maybe the smaller modules will work OK as I think they use less voltage. I'm thinking I'll be putting the ghost lite on mine whenever that comes out. 🤔 As always Albert you bring out issues no one else noticed lol 👍👍
Make sure you get the Sony VTC6 battery for best performance.
Albert has more experience and knowledge with RC stuff than a lot of those other guys who are just in it for the affiliate cash. It's kinda sad the community supports this channel so poorly. He does so much for us, but he doesn't get the respect he deserves.
hope they make a pro version with two 18650 for the big modules
I think that is their plan all along...
Hi Albert. What max. output power can be set in the menu? They walk about 25mW at Banggood. But it is not clear if this is the max. setting. Looking forward to your feedback :o) Thanks for this great review!
The 25mW you've been hearing about refers to the external module setting but I haven't done conclusive testing on that yet without a proper battery. The internal multi-module power is fixed at 100mW and can not be changed.
@@AlbertKimTV Thanks for your quick response. I use the Jumper T8 plus v2. Supports up to 150mW. So I will keep the T8plus v2. Don't want to make a step back in case of output power. RE; Battery Min Threshold....
It's OpenTX so surely you should be able to accessRadio Setup then 3rd line down should read 'Battery Meter Range 6.0 - 8.0'
If so, then lower the lesser figure so that radio DOESN'T shut down @ 3.3volts should be an easy enough cure???
Managed to (slightly) increase the run-time of my X9D+SE in a similar the same way... ;)
Yes, I know about that. I also tried that, however, the way the internal regulator is designed, the radio powers down when the voltage drops below 3.3v. It's not an openTX settings problem...
The best 18650 batts go to us vapers... Vtc6, 25r, vtc5, lg, pretty much all vape batts work great in these types of controllers... Just plz dont go on a buying frenzy and flood the market as all the vape batts are cloned alot with subpar cells

FPV components are rising fast right now. You can check out my Cobra X video here... th-cam.com/video/_cuOOjwhLf0/w-d-xo.html

But now that I got crossfire I'm pretty happy with my remote. One thing I'm happy you pointed out is the power draw and that's something that I think has been overlooked on other reviews.
Will it work with the Geprc tinygo?
I think so. I have not tested it myself however.
Can this pair with volantex 750mm p51?
I'm not sure about now since I haven't investigated this but back when I had the plane I could not get it to bind. But many more protocols have been added in the more than one year that has passed.
