    I tried 250mW constant output today with a Panasonic cell today. No issues at least in the indoor test. One bad thing I notice is that the flimsy construction almost falls apart when I change the battery because the battery holder is quite tight. And the stick centering needs extra care because of some slop or you risk the big inputs.

      Thanks. I think it's overall a good value. It just may not be the best for external module pilots if the power problems are more than just due to poor batteries. I will find out soon and make another video about that.

    • @craigjohnstone87
      @craigjohnstone87 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Even if Albert's next review puts the nail in the coffin for crsf and makes jumpers claims BS, you can still use 1-2W crossfire with an external power supply, and ghost is fully operational as is.
      Is it slightly irritating, yes, but worst case, you will have a cable with a battery in your pocket.

    • @craigjohnstone87

      @@QSpeedRacer I'm not sure i understand what you want to use.
      I wouldn't try plugging directly into a mains power brick or anything like that. But any 5V powerbank plugged into the nano should work fine. Up to 2W. There good for up to 2A generally so thats and crsf shouldn't take much more than that. If you do use a powerbank with higher current output then I wouldn't worry about it, the module will only take what current it needs. If you had a 5V 100A power bank it would work haha.
      Main thing is just to make sure its got a good amount of mah juice
      The issue is the odd spike which crsf is known for which is causing the radio issues with voltage sag.

    • @craigjohnstone87
      @craigjohnstone87 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@QSpeedRacer will be absolutely fine. Anyone who said it won't be is mad haha.
      Voltage is the important number. Just remember lower the voltage, the more current it will need. So if your using a 5V 3A supply, you should be golden.
      Generally crsf on 100mW will use around 2W which is around 0.4A. Plenty room for higher powers.

  • @craigjohnstone87
    @craigjohnstone87 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I was originally mad at the fact the announced no limitations with crsf when they announced pre orders.
    But!!!
    Having spoken to jumper directly, and that they have admitted to making an error during testing using suspect batteries, as long as you have a high current(15A+) 18650 it will be fine down to 3.4v when the low battery alert will signal. The Sony U18650VTC6 for example can keep output in over 10A at 3.4v
    They said they want to keep their current statement as they can't account everyone will use a high current quality battery, so taking the cautious approach. Hopefully the power supply will be corrected in the next version.
    Latest testing has had crossfire at 1W over 5km with no telemetry issues.
    There is also the choice of external power for crsf so if you are going long range or want more battery the option is there.
    Its an excellent bang for the buck radio and isn't far off beating the top radios in my opinion.

    How would you rate the feel and throw of the gimbals as compared to the X-lite?

    • @AlbertKimTV
      @AlbertKimTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like the feel of these much better. These are the same as the ones on the T12 Pro. Compared to the X-Lite, the throw is more on these but the spring tension is much more loose. If you prefer stiff spring tension you probably won't like the stock feel. However, you can adjust the spring tension inside (I pointed to the screws in the video). You can't adjust the tension on the X-Lite.

      Sure, you have to switch the goggles into legacy (V1) mode to work with all the drones that have the Vista or Air Unit. You'll also need to add a receiver to the drone. There are dozens of protocols that will work with the T-Lite so you have many options. I use Crossfire with my DJI drones.

    It's OpenTX so surely you should be able to accessRadio Setup then 3rd line down should read 'Battery Meter Range 6.0 - 8.0'
