In this small club was a jukebox and most of the songs on it were older rock and roll songs except this song by TFF. Since I love this song I popped a quarter in and played it. Turns out the only reason it was on the jukebox was to test who was naive enough to play it. Not a single person talked to me the rest of the night and I never went back!

    6/8 is the most expressive time signature. It’s round, not square. So many ways to interpret the rhythm and feel…..polyrhythms rule.
    Sidebar….I’ve always loved this song since I was a kid and my older sisters blasted it on their boom boxes in the 80s! I jammed to this and many other 80s hits on my ice cream bucket drum kit!😅

    It was really nice to hear you reserve yourself a little in this song.
    Still wanna hear your interpretation of a Tool song like Stinkfist, H, or Aenema..

    Love this and this guy. Finally get to hear him grooving without tons of overplaying. Not that I mind overplaying but this was more approachable for me as a groove drummer than most of his stuff which is on another planet! Keep grooving brother, awesome as usual!

      @nappashow 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Uhh this is absolutely overplayed lol... but for entertainment/youtube stuff it's fun. But yeah this wouldn't go on any track for any real recording as it doesn't respect any of other instruments.

    No words needed, You are the drum whisperer, so much sound from a basic drum kit..
    I play Trumpet, keyboards & drums, I have been playing probably longer the you have been alive.. You are an oddity, once in an age do you see a prodigy with that much talent.. My children & grandchildren can play and are very talented, my youngest of 12 grandchildren (9) is a prodigy too, he can play anything, drums are his escape, he is extremely gifted, in about 5 to 10 years, you may be beat.. Thank you for sharing.. I have seen all your video's & shorts. My grandson has too and you inspired him to be the best.. Thank you..

    A perfect demonstration of why less can be SO much more. It would have been easier to flam bam his arse off all the way through this song but the restraint he shows in this cover makes it one of his best. Listening back to the original and I can't unhear the new grooves he plays in this cover. ❤

    Love your playing 99.9% of the time. I programmed this into a drum machine in the 80s. Your back beat isn't even close. High hat accents are all on the up beat..... tripPULletTRIPpulLET and so on. That's what makes this part hard to play if played correctly . I know you just straighten it out into swing grove like most drummers do but trying to get it down like the original is worth the effort and feels crazy.
