  • Hello there! In my ongoing research of fun and interesting patterns, I was thinking about
    how cool plaids are! This is one of those techniques that have a bit of a groundwork to do
    before making the final bead. A variety of stringers and cane are used to make this gorgeous
    plaid design….the possibilities are endless!! 😆🌹
    Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
    Enjoy - Robin✨🌹💫

    Very pretty. I love doing the prep for complex beads. Getting all the stringers ready can easily be a whole torch session for me.

    Master class in cane making and pure magic. I am at such a disadvantage using Bullseye colors are so limited. Your rainbow 104 coe effretti is Lucious.

      Hi Vicki! 🤗🌹 Thanks!! I love pulling cane!😃 I have only ever used Bullseye Glass for slumping and fusing. Beautiful colors! I wish they made 104 compatible rods…I would love to try!
      You can experiment by mixing colors together…I’ll do a demo on how to mix them together soon!! ✨🌹 Cheers- Robin 🌈🌹🌹

      For some reason did not know about 104 rods back when I first started because I am self taught until now there are wonderful videos like yours. Hate I can not use double helix;s and all the gorgeous reactive fritz. Can you create an ivory? White and transparent amber? @@scottwoodresearch

      @@vickicubeiro9298 Hi Vicky! 🌹🥰 you can definitely try with those colors to create an ivory. You might get close, but every color has its original recipe that makes it very unique. I have only ever tried to create a lighter or darker shade when mixing colors together. I am intrigued though about this ivory. I see that Bullseye has a color named Nougat 000127-0576-F, it is probably the closest color to ivory that they have available. 🌹✨ if you ever feel like trying the 104 colors you can get some really nice variety packs to start with that are relatively inexpensive. 🤗 Hugs to you!! Robin ✨✨✨

    It that a 1/16 mandrel

    • @scottwoodresearch
      @scottwoodresearch  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sandy! I use a stainless steel welding rod. 3/32 of an inch mandrel. Cut down to 12 inches. However there are times when I use different sizes!🌹👋🏽

    What are you using for the punty?

    • @scottwoodresearch
      @scottwoodresearch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sandy! The punty is just a mandrel that I use for this purpose only. It works much better than using a glass rod. 😃 especially when pulling cane!

      Hello Sandy! 👋🏽🌹 If you watch the very first 101 video it will show you how I put the bead release in the middle! it is the very first… Or last video in the 101 playlist. I hope this helps!🤗💫🌹
