Lampworking / Flameworking - 102.21 - Royal Cross Pull - 104 Glass Demo
Hello my Friends! 💫🌹 This is a fun little technique to learn…pulling dots into different shapes. I call this particular pattern the Royal Cross. I just think it looks so regal and fancy! 😂🌟 Keep in mind that when I’m pulling on the glass my flame can look bigger because I’m using a larger torch…It’s the Hellcat from Carlisle Machine Works. If you have a smaller or different type of torch, adjust your flame accordingly to spot heat different areas that you want to pull from. 💫
I hope you all enjoy this one! It’s a beautiful design and easy to achieve!🌹
Thanks so much for joining me!
✨Cheers to you all - Robin 🌹🌹🌹

      Thank you for the compliment! The trimmer is much more powerful than the corded one that died after twenty years. (R.I.P.) The bamboo grass behind my garage used to laugh at the old trimmer. This Atlas trimmer made short work of it, right down to the dirt. No problem! 👍🏼

      @@scottwoodresearch good to know! I have a trusty echo 2 cycle that is a little beast. But I would like a battery option for quick trims around the house. I'm debating on the Bauer or Atlas offering. I've had nothing but good results with all of my Bauer power tools.

    • @scottwoodresearch
      @scottwoodresearch 12 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @Sooflojoe so. My buddy across the street from me has the Bauer. After seeing what the Atlas can do he wishes he had gotten the Atlas. The bonus is that the battery works with the Mower, 16 & 18 inch chainsaw and blower. And my buddy wised he had seen that Harbor Freight offered a lawn mower or he would have gone with the Atlas.

    Hi Robin, I hope both you and Patrick are ok. I also hope it’s not too hot where you are and it’s comfortable to work down in the dungeon on your torch. Are both you and Patrick both keeping yourselves busy with things you both like/love doing. How was your long 4th of July weekend, did you partake in the celebrations that were going on across America?. I love this bead by the way. It’s a type of bead I’ve thought of doing, but not done. I had a slight different thoughts on it. But the way you have done it is truly stunning. I love the way the dots look really raised even tho you flatten them and melted them in. Also using glass to rake is a brilliant idea I would have used a pick instead but that’s me but you have many more years of experience with glass than me. But I so truly love this bead and watching you work, I wish I could watch you work at proper speed. Have you ever thought of doing lives and making beads on camera while talking to people with people sending messages and you just talking to them on mic and answer their questions? I’m sure so many people would watch, I know I would. You could duel stream on here and Kick. Think about it my friend. Say hi to Patrick for me please. Stay safe and look after yourself ❤️ 🌹

Today is not as bad so I hope to play around a bit this evening. So far nothing to share for this weekend 😞. I have thought about doing live demos but it get anxiety just thinking about it. Maybe at some point I’ll give it a try….we’ll see. 😂 I think I will put some demos out on regular speed though…a few others have asked about it as well. I like to speed them up because most people have short attention span and cannot even get through five minutes of a demo….we see it in the analytics. But that aside…I will make some in real time!✨ Hoping all is well with you and you’re having a good week. ✨✨✨ Patrick says hello! 🤗 Cheers my friend - Robin🌈💫🌹🌹🌹

    What a lovely marble! I will give it a try! I do have a question about the metal punty. I’ve only used glass punties. So you pull the metal out and there’s a glob of glass on it. How do you get that glass off? Do you stick it in water or just let it cool on its own?

    • @scottwoodresearch

      Hi Lisa! ✨🌹 Thanks so much! You will enjoy playing with this technique! 🤗 when I am finished with a punty, I usually put it in water to cool and break the glass off. However, it can be stubborn and sometimes I have to take a pliers and crunch off the glass …or carefully reheat it and dip it back in water. (Basically whatever it takes!😅). I hope you try the metal punty….it was a game changer for me! ✨✨✨Cheers and happy flameworking- Robin 🌈👋🏽💫

    Love the marble Robin and the technique you used to make it. I’ve used that technique myself before and it does bring out such beautiful marbles. I find your use of dichro in this marble perfect it just shows that a small amount can’t go a long way and do a lot for a piece of glass artwork. Any way how are you and Patrick doing? Are you enjoy your time on your torch? And is Patrick enjoying what he is doing? Also are you enjoying the lovely weather where you are? Our weather in Wolverhampton UK is up and down at the moment, one minute it’s 86 Fahrenheit then next it 55.4F so the weather cannot make up its mind. I’m nearly there with the business, the website is up just not fully functional yet but accessible to look at which is annoying as I’m losing sales. All my socials are up and hopefully next week sometime I will be doing lives on FB, TH-cam and Kick. I have new business accounts for all my socials which are slowly starting to thrive also so maybe the jewellery business will get off the ground within the next month once my ID comes and I can set up my website payment system fully. I hope you enjoy your next week that is coming & your 4th July celebrations. Say hi to Patrick for me please. Look after yourself and stay safe my friend ❤️ 🌹

      Hello Kelly! 🤗🌹 Great to hear from you! ✨ I’m glad that you have done this technique before… That’s awesome! I love how many different color combinations, and how thick and thin the lines can be. So much to explore and fun to play with. I’m glad to hear that you’re almost up and running online. All of that is so overwhelming to me…I applaud your dedication! 😍 The weather here got so hot and humid that i couldn’t even go into the dungeon without immediately sweating…uhhh! Today was much cooler and I was able to play around a bit. Patrick is doing well…(I had a bout with Covid and he never caught it!) 😅 I’m glad that we have a short work week coming up….i need a break! lol! Great to hear from you my friend!! Hugs and cheers- Robin 👋🏽🙏🏽🌈🌹🌹🌹

      @@scottwoodresearch omg Robin how are you after you having Covid? Also I’m really surprised that Patrick didn’t catch it. Also dam with the heat I wouldn’t be able to cope with it being to hot, 90 degrees F is enough for me. I’m glad it has finally cooled down enough in the dungeon for you to go to get on the torch. I’m glad to hear Patrick is doing well hun and that you are feeling better after your bout of Covid. Enjoy your short work and your long weekend of celebrations. I’m so glad to really enjoyed making this marble as it is such a fun technique to do and explore. Thank you for being supportive in regard to my business. Stay safe my friend and look after yourself and both yourself and Patrick have fun this weekend with all the celebrations going on and enjoy the relaxing time off. ❤️ 🌹

      @kellytomic5372 Hi Kelly! 👋🏽🌹 I’m feeling much better! Thank you!! That is the second time I’ve had it. This time was not as bad as the first but still wiped me out….the heat didn’t help! 😂 Just started a 4 day holiday….yea! I can’t wait to sleep in! lol! 😆 The weather has cooled a bit. Enough to make the dungeon comfortable so hopefully I will get some time to play! I hope all is well in your world my friend!! Hugs and cheers- Robin🙏🏽✨✨✨🌹

      @@scottwoodresearch it sucks when your ill and it’s really hot but I’m really happy your feeling better. I’m so glad it wasn’t as bad for you this time around. Do you remember when the governments were saying you can only get this once!!!! What a load of c**p the governments don’t know what they are talking about. I’m so glad it’s cooled down but most of all i’m so glad is cooled down in the dungeon so you can go have a play as I bet it was miserable for you not being able to get on the torch or having to put up with the heat when all you wanted to do was enjoy yourself and be one with the glass and torch. Enjoy your long weekend of sleep and enjoy the rest as you sure do deserve it as you work really hard. Say hi to Patrick for me please and I hope he enjoy’s the long weekend of rest. Also Happy 4th July to you both. Almost everything is ok at my end apart from my back, neck, hips, pelvis and numbness in my arms and legs playing up but I’m coping with it this is all from where I damaged my back three weeks ago. I keep falling due to my legs which isn’t helping my back but I’ve been here before. I’ll go to the hospital if it gets to problematic. Thank you for caring. Stay safe my friend and look after yourself. ❤️ 🌹

      @TaimiAllan 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Oh wow, I did it. My first real success! And it’s so long it can loop around the neck 3 times. Stringer genius. I’ve tried thicker ones before but they shock too easily. Thank you ❤

      Hi Tiger! 🤗🌹 the stringer is so thin you don’t have to anneal. And oh my gosh… I did the same thing and tried it with a thicker rod first! …cracking the whole time!😂 using the stringer is definitely the way to go! I am so happy you made one that long… Congrats!! That’s awesome!!👍🏽😃 Cheers- Robin🌈✨
