I’m with Tommy. Not sure an air suspension would survive what I’ve done to my JLUR in the last five years. But I’d love to be proven wrong because the lower setting for the 20 hour drive to Moab would be nice.
Grand Cherokee has air suspension too in the Overland, Trailhawk, and Summit trim levels.
This color needs to go into production
Had the air suspension on my ram truck . Worked good in the summer but sucked in the winter. Always trying to fill and compressor kept blowing the fuse. Would never get it again if I’m in a area that gets very cold . Also this was a truck with less than 14000 miles so it wasn’t old. Just my input.

I also like the color. Shades of this color tend to hit the showroom every now and then. Remember the purple Gremlins? Purple Dodge Challengers and and Plymouth Prowlers. And Jeep also sold a bunch of CJ’s with a color very close to this one somewhere around the late 60’s and early 70’s.
And of course, there are those crazy purple Suzuki Swift convertibles of the 80’s or 90’s. (There are a surprising number of those things laying around my area, and a few of them even run!)
I also like the airbag suspension for the Wrangler and Gladiator. I like the idea of being able to drop it down fir getting in and out. (I am now old and fat, and I am no longer as limber or as flexible as I used to be.) And raising it up to step over things and other stuff is always cool.

I think it should officially be his concern when it's not a Barbie Jeep. This clearly wasn't made for a customer such as himself.

I love my Rubicon 4Xe and the mopar lift with 35 inch tires has been performing flawlessly 😊
@Crab the range is limited to the smaller fuel tank, I get about 250 miles on full tank, I carry a lot of load with me, including hauling a dirt bike.
There are many filling stations on the way to my favorite destinations, so it doesn’t bother me much.

You know, now that I think of it, my first vehicle was a Battery electric Jeep. Black with neon yellow/green highlights. Factory 12s and an aggressive never-flat plastic ALL TERRAIN tire and wheel combo.
I could see a LOT of guys parking this in the parking lot with the suspension flexed. Next level curb/snowbank climbing.
Come to think of it, my first vehicle was also a battery electric Jeep Wrangler too, mine was red though. Did your’s have the manual windshield wipers too?

I absolutely loved the air suspension in my grand cherokee trailhawk. Very surprised it has taken this long even for a prototype
Mechanical complexity is the last thing you want when you’re in the desert or crawling over rocks. Especially as problematic and finicky as air suspensions are.

I'm with Roman. Us oldies like some extra comfort. If going remote just take spare parts maybe
4XE and air suspension are a great options for the city slickers. But that is too purple for mine and my wife's taste. Much would prefer Tuscadero. Hope Jeep releases these colors to the Gladiator line as well though.
My WK 2 Trailhawk doesn’t make that constant inflator sound. It fills up or deflates and then shuts off. That constant sound would drive me crazy. Per Prodigal Overland advice I sprang for the extended warranty but have had no problems in freezing weather yet.

Actually all the parts I see are available. Accu air suspension is available for non 4xe im sure it doesn’t need much modifying to make it work on 4xe.

My concern would be articulation.
All that needs is some sparkles and you can call that color Bumper Car Magenta.
Almost all semis and semi trailers run airbags. I had 750,000 miles on mine before I replaced mine.
I’m sure those are a lot more robust
There will always be people who are willing to spend their money on a vehicle like this.
But, I personally think that a vast majority of them will not be doing much, if any hard core off roading.
They will mostly be mall crawlers and boulevard cruisers.
I'll take a basic, old school 4 x 4 ( with at least a rear locker.
Something that I can pretty much work on myself, without having to worry about getting it scratched or dirty, and without having to break the bank.
The thing is that no one wants to spend that much on a vehicle to scratch and dent it up. A “worn-in” cheaper 4x4 that you don’t have to cosmetically worry about would probably be a lot more fun to wheel. Coming from a guy with a 2023 JLUR mallcrawler.

Doesn't the last generation Grand Cherokee have air suspension?
WK2 and WL generations have it on certain trims - Trailhawk, Overland, and Summit for example.
The irony is that all of the Audi air suspension guys swap out the failure prone and expensive air suspension for coil springs!

Wrangler should never have air suspension as it is inappropriate. I agree the Wrangler should have Android auto, USB ports, air bags in the B pillar and so on etc etc

Looks cool, but he hardly has any head room. And imagine if he's bumping around on a more challenging trail. My Rivian R1T has a great air suspension, and it's less than this Rubicon.
Biggest problem is cold weather. Ask any RAM truck owner with air suspension who lives in the upper Midwest.

Air Suspension is a dumb idea for a 4x4. Those systems have a high failure rate.

Jeep definitely shouldn’t go with air suspension. Guaranteed failure, expensive to replace, much less comfortable when fully extended. Jeep’s are so amazing because they are simple, please don’t make them more complex than they need to be.
