The older Jeep with the “worn out suspension “ did everything needed I don’t think the extra cost for the air suspension seems useful but not worth the extra cash. Then of course when it fails; which it will, the cost to fix will be enormous.

Agreed this is why Jeeps cost so much now a days and the whole selling point of a Jeep is you can replace everything on it but they have stayed to far from that with the new Jeeps. Dealers will love this bc it will be a huge profit generator for service dept

I would teke it over coil set up any day. As long as bags are available and not $1k a corner. Works better for loading and towing. And with roof top tent setup can be leveled with a push of a button. In semi truck, i can replace bag in les than 30 min. Plug the hose from broken spring reise other 3 springs which act as a jack. 2 nuts later and plug in the air hose. Ride is infinitely better. As long as it's done right and not overpriced. Never had a problem with outside temperature even with 87k lb on the dack.

This system looks amazing, and I guess what we need to consider is the purpose of a vehicle. Is the vehicle a recreational off roader that’s often pushed to the limit for fun? Perfect, this works.
Is it a rescue vehicle that needs to reach very remote areas? Again perfect.
Is it a long distance international overlander or work vehicle? This probably adds the sort of additional complexity most people will happily do without.

It’s a rare thing to see somebody actually include a JK in a TH-cam video. Just like most manufacturers forgot about the millions of JK owners. Once the JL came out. So did the TH-camrs. When I do a search for jeep, JK builds, the results come up with videos that are three, four, five years or more old.
Just like all of us. We do like anything jeep. But I think it is bad marketing to forget about the millions of jeep JK owners.

While Air suspension is far nicer to ride on and when it works, it also better offroad, it simply is not robust enough. There is almost zero chance you could make something like the cannon stock route using an air system.
I guess in the lower 48 where the trails tend to be short it would be fine, but up in Alaska, or even some places in Texas, not sure I would want to rely on it.

@@offgridrecon yeah, and it rides at a more consistent level since it corrects for weight. It only allows you to ride low or maxed under 25mph then goes to the correct setting. Also, running a lower height gives a better castor angle so as long as the pinion angle isn’t bad (which doesn’t matter in 2wd) it’s fine. Running at 6” is a bad idea.

That would have been fun but redundant considering the TJ still uses the same coil spring setup.

@@backwoodstherapy Technically that is true however as someone that owns a TJ while owning a JL and now JT I can tell you they do not drive/ride nor behave the same off road. Not to mention the size and many other differences in a comparison of a 2 door TJ to the JL 2 or 4 door. All completely different vehicles even with all having coil springs.

This was rough to watch, didn’t finish it. Didn’t disconnect the green Jeeps sway bar, but yet turned on all the lockers for a very simple obstacle. And didn’t air down at all, just blamed the shocks for the ride quality in baseball sized rocks. This was just a accuair commercial basically. Which to me, changing ride heights all the time, but doesn’t account for what the track bar and drag link is doing in those changes in height, no thanks.

So am curious, is the Accuair only specifically designed for Jeep? Bc I would buy a P38, only RangeRover I ever ❤ again. If I could have that air suspension! Vitesse Yellow or a Callaway w/LS swap now that you can, a proper Callaway! Not just a badge. Back to the suspension tho ? & if ONLY Jeep, can it be on a 2door? Id only get 1 if it were Digital Pink Camo 2 door plates: Butch so I can go to the parade, flying my 🏳️‍🌈Flag high 😂
Last 15 secs Only Jeep, so foes it HAVE to be the "family Van" type Jeep the 4 door😂
