Always thought indoor pits are the best and this is why, making great use of the space you’ve got, better sealing of the pit, less effluent and just a better place to work as well 👍
Plaudits to Luke and Anna community has been saying for ages they need more exposure if their ok with that, not forgetting Katie looking forward to seeing what she has done with the merch .
I’ve often thought that’d be a good idea. Won’t be getting any air in there and you’ll be having fantastic compaction. You just need to keep enough extra straw around to cover both clamps her, and then on the share farm. If it works out, that is. I’d think it might even work better on the hay.
Hi Tom. Good morning. You are always so busy and many things I see you have to do on ur farm. That's a very large black tarp. It sounded like the cow said good job and good morning
On the basis that presumably you clear the maize in use via the sheer grab, isn't that going to make reaching the bales at the back where they are 3 high a challenge? It was ok getting them up there as you could drive over the maize but once you start cutting the face off you will be much lower surely?
Nice tom, those bales will matt it down like the other clamp. That collinson's bin could not have been placed any better. Wasn't sure it would work with the new clamp.
While watching I was thinking what a great job the straw has done at cleaning that part of the road, just as you grab the last bail and use it sweep up, for so long I have heard that saw dust holds more water but straw is good substitute, seeing the results of it on the ground being driven over I can finally see just how effective it is. Can I ask though what is better to compost down and how quickly do they take to compost, this must also be a major factor in deciding what to use plus cost. Are you and your Dad pleased with the amount of maize that you got and will you be doing a costing video, what's also important is the fact that the weather has been against you again. Sorry for the questions Tom, I hope you have a great week love to you the family and the team xxxx
Your machinery is funkie & amazing how they work. Yes I realize that you have allot of heavy items to move around!!!!! Please forgive me for asking, you are making hay leadge right??? Your covering it like that so it turns for the cows? And so it won't get weather wet rotten????
Great times all around as always!!! Caring for the land and the cattle!!!! Keep up the amazing work!!! I have a question Sir, why is it that u only cover from the back out? N not also on the sides I mean???? To help with way less air flow, am just wondering if it not to big a thing!!!
Hello. Seems like a good idea. But how about mice? I do always avoid putting straw on clamp since i realised that was "mouse penthouse". Hope you dont have that problem
From experience Tom, be prepared to have a lot of spoilage at the back of the clamp. Bales on silage are themepark for rats and they'll chew holes in the plastic. Also, use side sheets, its the only way you'll get a decent seal at the edges!
Luke I wouldn't stand for the abuse over damage, I'd sit down lol The thee musketeers lol Going on your previous videos and shortage of weight, think your straw idea is genius Tom Stay safe all Geoff

Good morning from New Zealand. Currently our contractors are chopping silage in between periods of inclement weather. We'll done with the maize.

i think anna in lovvveèeee with tom .just sayin ❤
Anna's intermission @5:10 had me cracking up.
My father had a cousin who died when he slipped down between hay bales in a haystack. He suffocated. So please do be careful.
Looks like a great idea Tom, that should keep the clamp air Tite.
Here's ya medal tom 🏅 🤣 so funny
With ToshiDaddy, you are so funny Anna😂
Great video Tom
Anna wat a woman is that 1 in a treziljon
Tom take good care of her ❤️
Nice tom, those bales will matt it down like the other clamp. That collinson's bin could not have been placed any better. Wasn't sure it would work with the new clamp.
We need an Anna video every once in a while. She’s a goof
Love Anna. !!!!!!!!!!!!

I think its fair to say ANNA has achieved legendary status.... top vlog Tom 😊
Only a farmer would use a straw bale as a broom 🤣. Clamp looks good hope your weather holds out there for a bit.
That Lass is a dam asset to the farm Tom
Hope you put some rat bate down. As Maize and straw is the ideal winter home for them!
Good morning from Lafayette Indiana USA.
Harry Potter I'm surprised Anna didn't know that lol great video teem 😊
Yes AnnA .
Great times all around as always!!! Caring for the land and the cattle!!!! Keep up the amazing work!!! I have a question Sir, why is it that u only cover from the back out? N not also on the sides I mean???? To help with way less air flow, am just wondering if it not to big a thing!!!

How is Jo & Harvey doing? Haven't seen or heard about them in a while.
Lot's of work, maize looks great.
SHES LONG GONE!
He left her. She's devastated, but trying to rebuild her life as a single mother. They'll both do right by their son and time will hopefully heal.
@hels2608 well, that sucks. Must have missed that video. But sometimes it's best.
@@hels2608which begs the question…. Why? Very strange…
Love the video tom as always. you have a lot to put up with Anna. She is lovely 👍
One day, you should let Kate and Anna run amok with the camera. It would make a fun video.
From experience Tom, be prepared to have a lot of spoilage at the back of the clamp. Bales on silage are themepark for rats and they'll chew holes in the plastic. Also, use side sheets, its the only way you'll get a decent seal at the edges!
you need to get the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro to improve your videos just to say I love what you do
That’s the way to weight down with bales 👌🏻
I think Anna skipped her meds this morning. 😂🥰
Hey Tom, I did a quick stray poll in Calgary Alberta Canada, and we would request a little more Anna hehe he, she funny.
Anna cam is amazing lol
Anna, you've got to remember. Tom is not the sharpest pencil in the box. You and the rest of the team has got to keep him right.
Thinking when you're with one of the team give them a headcam mount 😊
Stabalisation these days (from gopro 7 up) is great.
A good way of keeping your straw dry two sheds in one
Will the dieci reach them bales from the ground when you start taking the maze out?
You've become a Prepper, Tom, with all that hoarded straw !
Question is there enough space between the slurry store and the concrete in front of the clamp to build a equipment shed
Yes. It’s just funds 😂
Always the funds to bad we can't all just be millionaires
Do you need a place to stay for the winter fair in Builth
Tom, was the bit where you hit the camera .. press ion driving 😂😂
I wonder will all that extra weight draw the moisture (energy) out of the clamp?
Luke I wouldn't stand for the abuse over damage, I'd sit down lol
The thee musketeers lol
Going on your previous videos and shortage of weight, think your straw idea is genius Tom
Stay safe all
Geoff
Something going between them pair....
So how are you going to get those at the top at the back off when it comes to it?
Spring barley in the maize ground lots of straw and grain
Hey how’s Jo and the wee one getting on Tom?
