Nice video, that bit of philosophy at the end is so true, When young I was unfocussed and lazy, and always in penury. Then I started to really work for myself, and could actually see the direct connection between the effort and the reward. And I started to enjoy, instead of resent, the work itself.

I’m a US Army veteran of 10 years of service as an Comms specialist first for 2 years in the Army Reserves and 8 as a Field Artillery Fire Support Specialist (Forward Observer), from 1980-90. I served my FO time with a Heavy Mechanized Infantry Division (4th ID), and 2 Armored Divisions (2nd AD FWD BDE, and 3rd AD). My time in those Divisions was awesome! Driving armored vehicles and living among them is a memory I will long cherish. I just began watching your channel and I love it. I told my wife that I can literally smell the fumes, grease, and nastiness that comes from working on armored vehicles. I have told her that if I can ever afford to buy one that I will. She thinks I’m joking! I’m not. Thank you for keeping the history of the British Tank Regiment alive. It’s a history that deserves to be remembered.

At my age ( yes, I am much older than you ) I recall doing things like this when I was much younger. Learning skills I did not have simply to have them and use them, unafraid to try new things, working hard for one's self is always a great joy. You are so right about goals, extending them, making new goals. You and the team have much to be proud of, and I for one am glad to walk along with you and see this happen. Awesome job Mr Hewes et al. You have created an incredible business from scratch with little more than a can do attitude, a keen interest and, of course, Ted.
I’ve watching (and subscribing) to your channel for quite some time now. As someone who has struggled with goals and some sort of direction for my own life, those last few words of yours have really hit home. Your channel does more than raise laughs, or educate people. You and everyone who works with you are an inspiration to people far and wide, who you will probably never meet. But the impact you’re making goes way beyond videos of tanks. ❤

It is so cool to see that your fantastic vehicles are now protected from the environment; highly appreciated! It would have been a real shame putting so much effort into them first, just to let them rot away again afterwards. Best regards from Germany, Jens
Amazing achievments guys. We used to have one of the operational BAVs at Hamworthy camp where the RMs did their Landing craft training. Used to fire it up every week and give it a run out.
You've done so well for yourselves. I've been watching since the very early days. Make the most of life while you can, I now struggle even with a coolant change on my 101 GS after being diagnosed with ME.
A formerBritish tank driver who had wrestled the sticks on a Service Centurion told me I would've loved it ... True, as my Dad, long passed, had one of the initial Egyptian Western Desert Shermans and I have the indirect fire 'range table' he produced. Love your stuff Hewes and all + Ted the understated Sarn Major.
To have taught yourselves how to reconstruct tanks, whilst getting the chance to do it with your friends and partners is priceless. The running engine on the stand looks and sounds like a very angry Alien prop from Doctor Who! You guys have achieved so much in so short a time that you deserve lots of respect & praise.
It took me until I was 26 to develop a great work ethic especially when it came to really hard work. It took working on a Pearl Farm off Western Australia to do it. Before that I was one lazy sod! I had no direction or passions at the time which didn't help. I so wish I could do it all over again but that's just age talking. You guys are living the kind of life I wished I had.👍❤️🇦🇺
The Foden was an absolute game-changer when we see how you guys put back together the AVRE !! Success well deserved! A Patton tank, M48 or M60 would be great in your future projects, if you can get your hands one one!
I never ever thought I would be interested in a couple of lads )and lasses) in the UK pissing around with rusty old tanks, but when it appeared on my feed, I had to watch and now I'm hooked. Now, I don;t watch any other tanks tubes, cause theres something about the backyard engineering on here that reminds me of , well, me, Fake it till you make it. But you make me laugh like no other show (except OLD topgear). Keep doing what you don;t do and just piss around and make it happen 👍👍👍👍👍
Congrats 🎉 from germany. You and your team next to your teamleader "the Chief" Ted went the one and only way of live of each of one of yours. Remember the rise of the phoenix or silversurfer 🎉and you are one of them. All your followers stand next to yours and be proud too about your journey..... Stay safe and strong, you have our back.
Congratulations, everyone, but especially Joe's girlfriend, Ted, Seb, grumpy Adam, the Hobbit, and Joe's Dad. What fun it has all been for us armchair mechanics. Thank you. I forgot Jack's Mum!
If I remember correctly there was a Barv in the DSB workshop in Bovington, I believe now run by Babcock's, was formerly ABRO. We had a Centurion ARV that was used at Long Valley test track in Aldershot in the early 80's. It was a pleasure to drive.

We well lads. Great result 👏🏻 Looking forward to more content 😊
The running engine on the stand looks and sounds like a very angry Alien prop from Doctor Who!
You guys have achieved so much in so short a time that you deserve lots of respect & praise.
Love the T-72, well done and all the very best for the future.
Congratulations on your new workshops guys Very well done
The Foden was an absolute game-changer when we see how you guys put back together the AVRE !! Success well deserved! A Patton tank, M48 or M60 would be great in your future projects, if you can get your hands one one!
incredibly cool
I have to say It has been a real treat watching your vidoe's and following this channel. Thank You.
You guys are heroes love the videos can’t wait to see the rest I would love to come and see you guys🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴✌️
🖤 Thank you !
Mr Hewes is Mobilizing ! 😀😀
He's had enough of Russia 😂

Congratulations, everyone, but especially Joe's girlfriend, Ted, Seb, grumpy Adam, the Hobbit, and Joe's Dad. What fun it has all been for us armchair mechanics. Thank you. I forgot Jack's Mum!
God Bless you lads
If I remember correctly there was a Barv in the DSB workshop in Bovington, I believe now run by Babcock's, was formerly ABRO. We had a Centurion ARV that was used at Long Valley test track in Aldershot in the early 80's. It was a pleasure to drive.
