This is my #1 want item on my Wishlist right now. Just waiting for my OV credits to build a little more so I can get it for around $100!
I'm in no way affiliated with Outdoor Vitals but I'm a huge fan of Tayson, the company (ethically especially), and their products and I wanted to put out to your viewers that if you like their stuff, seriously consider being a subscriber to them. Financially it makes all the sense in the world, you get nice rebates as a member, store credits monthly, and nice 15% deals periodically throughout the year. Good way to get good product at a nice price!

They are on of the very few backpacking/outdoor clothing companies designing a layering system that is modular and works together in a systematic way. The closest is Kuiu which has been making ultralight clothing systems for back country hunters for years. I have an OV membership as well. I've saved tons of money on their quality gear.

@@juanbackpacks I’m getting the Altitude hoodie as a “Christmas” gift and got my girlfriend a Vario hoodie that she says is amazing. I really love their stuff. Have you ever tried their sleeping bags? I’m looking at getting a zero degree (I like UGQ quilts for anything 20° and above), and would be interested in your experience if you’ve tried it.

Zach I have not tried their bags. I’m looking for a warm weather bag and they are on my short list.

I'm a big fan of Outdoor Vitals clothing gear and have been on the fence on this one. did the jacket run small or true to size?
Maybe I'll pick up one on sale.

I wear a medium in most of my clothing and that was what I have my jacket in. It is definitely athletic cut though so it is thin at the waist and hips so body shape will drive your choice of sizing. There on line sizing tool didn't give me correct size so i just chatted with customer service to get some actual measurements of the garment.

what are your body dimensions if you are wearing a M ?

I used the recommendations on the site sizing and it worked for me. The main thing is the waist size… the Tusher is really narrow at the waist..

Is it still worth it? I am debating between the Tushar and the Gore 7 trail rain jacket

In my view if you want something that is both light weight and won’t wet out.. this seems to be the way to go. I have a ton of experience with rain gear in the outdoors. This is one of the best rain jackets I’ve ver owned. I’ve used it both road running and trial running in all kinds of rain…. It’s never wetted through from the outside. The seam taping is solid and the material it is made out of is super light weight and waterproof.

@@juanbackpacks Your word is good enough for me Jaun. I have been a viewer and fan for some time. This will replace my Frogg Tog for 3 season rain protection.
I have a nice Cortex shell I use for winter trips but it's too much for summer use. I think the Tushar fits my philosophy of use for 3 season rain protection. Thanks for your input and the great review.
I have the Cherry Mahogany one in my cart now.
