Slide Away is honestly one of the best vocals ive ever heard in this. You feel totally absorbed in the song and it feels euphoric, especially towards the end. Im gutted i was too young to see oasis live but hey ho.
TideatMileHigh I always loved that thick, rich sound he got out of the pickups live late into the Definitely Maybe tour and during the Morning Glory tour.
Epiphone make some superb guitars 🎸 and you get great value for money 💰. Some of the parts can be a bit crap 💩 but easy to upgrade - but they sound great. I’ve got an Epiphone SG Special and it’s a great guitar - stands up to a Gibson SG - great action - great sound - less than £100 second hand - so new it still had plastic on the pickups and bashplate etc - total fucking bargain. Cheers 🥂
Strictly Herping no, young vedder was just embarrassing. What’s the point of jumping around like a monkey if it totally ruins your vocals? Shame really, he had a great voice when he focused on singing and not having intentional full body parkinson attacks
Most absurd statement I’ve ever heard, would you say the same about Jimi Hendrix and his stage presence?? If he were a stick on stage would it have made him a better guitarist? The answer is no, Eddie and the rest of the band were creating atmospheres during their shows that hadn’t been seen since Led Zeppelin. And it wasn’t taking away from his vocals.
I saw oasis so many times but I wish I could have seen this show. They are so perfect they are like a runaway juggernaut. This is one of the greatest rock n roll performances of all time ever.
not a chance the beatles where the best band ever there somewhere down the long winging road behide them and queen and the eagles they where great there 1st 3 albums and it then went down hill for them
This is Oasis best gig of all the time, Ive seen Oasis before 1995 and after and this was the best! I remember watching Oasis in amazement at front at Glastonbury 1995!
It's weird to hear the ending of Don't Look Back in Anger without the crowd singing the words before Noel. I can't remember the time when that song wasn't raucously sung along to.
@@eddysandland58 Completely agree, that'd have had the same effect if they played FitB live too. And I think they had a touring member playing keyboards, so they could still keep the organ in the song (which is really the only problem of them trying to do it live).
One of their finest. I love this performance. LIAM rules. the BBC cut all the agro out of the broadcast. This is what rock n roll looks like children. Pure punk rock!
What a gig! I saw them aged 15 at Earl's Court in 1997, backed by The Verve. Amazing gig, but nothing compared to just two years beforehand when they ruled the world. Highlight of this is '(it's good) to be free'. What a tune. What a time to get into pop music. 25 years! Amazing.
This was a great gig. Glasto 1995, what a lineup of bands too. Little did we know the following year we'd be at Knebworth for the first night of the Oasis gigs. Legendary. What a time to be alive!
Noel really liked Robbie around this time , he invited him to totp when they did roll with it hence he introduces them and he invited him to t in the park with him that year. Also interviews Robbie in 96’ when he filled in for Gary Crowley on london radio . If you read ‘take me there’ by Paul marturs which Liam and Noel contribute to theres a lot of stuff with Robbie and Noel being very friendly also there’s a big breakfast interview on here where Noel even says to Robbie ‘see you next week yeah ? ‘ . Oh and ozone you see Noel invite Robbie backstage at the gig and calls him a good kid in his interview. He obviously got fed up Of him later
That was definitely the best version of some might say that i've heard Also its refreshing to hear Alan White's drumming without all of the fucking ghost hits
mid 90s late 90s is best Oasis. Liam so prime here. This will not come back, but wow. Noel should go into producing. He seems like he cranks out so many good songs. Too much for one group.
Without a doubt and arguably the best Glastonbury ever......do a search and check out the whole festival line up. Still had the crusty's/travelers and their raves ....and before the Hunter wellie brigade took over. I have the " T" shirt......good times.
I was born 5 months after this im 23 now wht id do t be this age at this era , music hit a peak in the 90s and once the 00s came along music and talent took a swan dive no creativity or talent like rhey used to not saying tht theres absoutely no good music these days but its not neae the calibre of the 90s and below
funny how punk-driven Noel was towards his sound back then. It's all super distorted, can't tell a note from the other (listen to the intro of supersonic) such is the ammount of overdrive.
my best night watching oasis was at barrowlands, Glasgow. just my personal opinion but man what a fuckin gig. slide away that night in Glasgow was top. live forever!!
Admittedly you can feel the vibe from this. The rawness and edge in a moment in time. But who now ever listens to an Oasis cd? Party is well and truly over . Liam did a gig a few weeks back, think it was the Royal Albert or somewhere, blasting out all the hits...even he must be sick of listening to it. Regurgitating Rock anthems soon wears very thin. Oasis are fast becoming E17 trying to stay on the Scampi in a Basket circuit. Everyone has 15 minutes/years of fame in them....then it's time to draw a line
i was there gt over fence 4 a tenner happy days! they just blew me away best band ever live fuckin amazing!! still gt goose bumps n hairs on the neck standing up OASIS come bk ur simply the best! cus we r all fuckin " mad for it "
I went to watch this. I remember a bunch of us falling backwards during the first few minutes. A surge forward might’ve been expected. Always wondered why so many of us went backwards.

Noel mentioned in some interview that they've also played "Champagne Supernova", either not captured 'ere or he is wrong.
well done mate
Slide Away is honestly one of the best vocals ive ever heard in this. You feel totally absorbed in the song and it feels euphoric, especially towards the end. Im gutted i was too young to see oasis live but hey ho.
As much as I love the sound of his ES-335 he uses today, his heavy distorted tone he used in 1994-1998 on his epiphones was his best tone IMO.
TideatMileHigh I always loved that thick, rich sound he got out of the pickups live late into the Definitely Maybe tour and during the Morning Glory tour.
Funny coz he used Jonny marrs Les Paul in 94.
@@kevinbanks310 ha that's right! in 1995 they knew they were the best and had all the swagger, he gave epiphone a great name in the UK
@@kevinbanks310 yeah until he smashed it over some knob heads noggin

definitely one of the best live performance vocals I've found of Liam, the band is tight too
Completely agree. This one and Earl's Court in '95 totally mind-blowing.
live by the sea and g-mex are also amazing
P0GFLIPPER yes I agree. well also Hammerstein Ballroom '97
earls court in 95 as well
Headshrinker on 'Live by the Sea', mind-blowing.
This was my first Glastonbury and nothing has ever come close.
The second verse of Acquiesce and the chorus of Morning Glory sung by Liam...This is indeed, BIBLICAL.
Los teloneros de the cure en España this year no she,s electric no partyyyy 😊 💪😎💪😎💪
I love the use of the sally cinnamon riff at the end of acquiesce
Especially as the Stone Roses were supposed to headline the festival and had canceled.
that magnificent musical moments of the era of the 90's.....!
No way oasis 1995 could be topped by any band or Muscian in that period. They owned the stage with charisma and swagger.
ST&NLY ST&NLY Pearl Jam, best live band of all time.
Strictly Herping no, young vedder was just embarrassing. What’s the point of jumping around like a monkey if it totally ruins your vocals? Shame really, he had a great voice when he focused on singing and not having intentional full body parkinson attacks
You’re delusional
Strictly Herping how come?
Most absurd statement I’ve ever heard, would you say the same about Jimi Hendrix and his stage presence?? If he were a stick on stage would it have made him a better guitarist? The answer is no, Eddie and the rest of the band were creating atmospheres during their shows that hadn’t been seen since Led Zeppelin. And it wasn’t taking away from his vocals.
bring back them fuckin days man!!!
Andy Inwood Fuckin leather someone, get them cuffs on me!
Incredible seeing Liam sing the "Well" part of Morning Glory in the chorus, and doing it so effortlessly as well. Incredible performance.
I saw oasis so many times but I wish I could have seen this show. They are so perfect they are like a runaway juggernaut. This is one of the greatest rock n roll performances of all time ever.
Man this gives me the chills!! Great performance. Liam sings 100% on this, best band in the world by a long way!!
not a chance the beatles where the best band ever there somewhere down the long winging road behide them and queen and the eagles they where great there 1st 3 albums and it then went down hill for them
One of the few times Liam sings the higher 'seems' in 'seems to remember' during the second bridge in Hello. Marvelous!
dave790 one of the few times he sang it CORRECTLY without cracking the note
Steve Hwang well usually he just didn't even try...
That’s the same jacket Liam was wearing during recording of Morning Glory!
Should be in a museum!
One of the best Slide away performances ever
This is Oasis best gig of all the time, Ive seen Oasis before 1995 and after and this was the best! I remember watching Oasis in amazement at front at Glastonbury 1995!
Even louder than usual coz the sound engineer was going deaf by this point.
The best kind of sound engineers tho 😂
A pesar de ser un festival, para mi este está entre las grandes performances de Oasis en su historia
meat0907 Estoy en acuerdo hombre
I was there🎉
His voice 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Liam Voice at its peak ! Comes once in a lifetime
oasis, best band of the world, after Beatles, Liam and Noel are great!
I wholeheartedly agree
Have they ever sounded better!!?? Man I love this Gig x
It's weird to hear the ending of Don't Look Back in Anger without the crowd singing the words before Noel. I can't remember the time when that song wasn't raucously sung along to.

One of those rare concerts from one of those rare bands that each song gets better and stronger than the previous ones. Just amazing!!!
swamp song, what a tune..............never played after 96.
Andrew Paterson, I know & for the latter years they should of played Fuckin in the bushes!!! Instead of just walking out to it!!!!

One of their most underrated songs, I don’t think the studio version could recreate the live sound in that song, so good live
First time I saw them too!
22 years ago and feels 1000 years ago culturally
Amen brother
Great comment so fucking true

Probably the best live performance by the band, Liam sounds great and the mix is superb
25:30 these two must have been really good friends can tell.
What spoiled it, got to be Noel he hated poor Robbie probably stopped Liam as well.
Noel really liked Robbie around this time , he invited him to totp when they did roll with it hence he introduces them and he invited him to t in the park with him that year. Man that solo on “Don’t Look Back In Anger”..... the feedback from Noel’s Epiphone was just mega.
This is the only performance of Morning Glory that really captures the magic of the studio version.
I was there and watching this is unreal! Thanks so much for posting!!Cheers.
I was born as this was happening. Cool to learn Bonehead and I share the same birthday 50:52
15:40 probs one of the best SHHHIINEEEE’s you’ll hear
"that was a new one..."
"...and this is an old one! go on son!"
That was definitely the best version of some might say that i've heard
Also its refreshing to hear Alan White's drumming without all of the fucking ghost hits
As in compared to the studio versions, or other live shows? Can't say I've ever noticed many ghost notes in other shows...
dave790 live shows specifically, Maine road he doesn't stop doing them
Haha - not a fan then? I like his drumming, but you're right - first few songs at Main Road especially, he's loving it!
No haha its his style, I like it but its cool to hear the live version sound similar to the records lol
When I was younger I thought you HAD to play all of those ghost notes otherwise you weren't a proper drummer. aha, silly me.
This is one of the best edits for this performance
Will forever be jealous of those who got to see oasis during this period
Back when Glastonbury was worth the money
