Stage Oddities:
Bonehead has very thin long hair and wearing his guitar high up.
Noel’s playing an Epiphone Les Paul and has no microphone.
Liam’s holding the mic and using his falsetto.

Liams pre drugs and alcohol voice was a thing of beauty
Did a pre alcohol Liam Gallagher exist?
Haha, definitely not a singing one. It's pretty obvious by now that his vocal issues weren't caused by the substances that are heavily consumed by almost all r'n'r singers anyway.
@@dlovas you got to be kidding right? Lol, Liam has said himself his voice has changed over the years because of his lifestyle, less so because of the cocaine but because he’s been smoking since he was a teenager, I know people have this theory that’s it’s all been down to hashimoto's disease but Liams voice was changing long before he even contracted the illness, it’s not some great secret 😂
@@jerrunholt5571 probably not lol, but his voice was still young and robust here before the mad morning glory years and beyond
Cigs mainly but also Hashimoto's thyroiditis which he had from around 1996 onward and which decimated the Be Here Now tour in terms of cancelled shows, Noel taking over or sets featuring a lengthy Noel acoustic section.

Also I love this gig, Liams Voice was spot on and sounded almost identical to the records.. I mean they were done in the same year so that would be why Lol. But yeah friggin best band in the world.
Quick correction; had me cracking up with "Liver Forever", I like liver with caramelized onions but not that much
Shite patter aside, thanks for this tracklist - I like Liam's voice these days but his singing back then was something else!
One of the first studios they had was in fact in the basement of the hotel where this was recorded, so this is definitely from around those months, maybe even days within recording the first album - anyhow it sounds wonderful and the historic value is there as well
the last one is SUPERSONIC, you can see Noel playing the riff after the first chorus an then Liam with "You need to be yourseeelf"

Liam's vocals, I guess you could say it's his best, don't you think?
After all, Liam had a lot of energy at the time of his debut.
Thanks man and ffs someone pin this comment.
the best Liam ever sounded.

Aye
@@Jay-nr2olNo - it’s absolutely true - he started acting like a cunt not long after this and ruined it for all them! Very silly boy Liam is - they had the world at their feet and he acted like a dick and Noel couldn’t stand him anymore. I mean, imagine how Noel felt, my brother is an immature twat and has just wrecked it. Oh well, whatever, Nevermind.
Nah Earl’s Court 95, Jools Holland 94 and By The Sea 95 are EASILY better
maybe. i like his 1996 growl before started drinking too much. by 2000 he still sounded massive but couldn’t quite sing angelically like here. the be here now tour finished that. shout out to his falsetto on Live Forever being better than Noel’s later version
say what you will but Tony's drumming was perfect for early Oasis material
That is the only statement that really matters in the usual Oasis Drummers internet debacles. When the band were broke, youthful, loud, proudly shambolic and hungry to take on the entire world, their early songs never sounded better. Which means that material would never sound better without the five members (including the drummer) that they perfected them with. Every other drummer they employed after mid-1995 either added too much to that early music’s required simplicity or they deadened the frantic spirit of the original statement when they played the 1994 and before material. That’s no hate toward them either, it just isn’t the same. It’s like middle aged men playing a young person’s game; it might be mostly convincing and true to many people and casual listeners still, but it lacks the actual ingredients which sustained its conception. However, I’m also of the mind that WTSMG? Is a record full of radio ballads whereas DM is a perfect collection of rock and roll classics, so Oasis got a lot worse for my enjoyment personally following that transition.
@@buddhull As each of them left the band Tony Paul & Bonehead it changed little by little until Noel left. It just didn’t sound the same as original Oasis we won’t see them back together again I don’t think.
That’s why I like Liams new band they seem keen especially with Bonehead.
Still living at mums. Innocent and broke as fuck. Nothing to lose, and with the whole world ahead of them.
Don't let anyone tell you that epiphone are entry level guitars!
Well, original epiphones before Gibson bought them out, such as the ones Lennon had were more expensive than Gibson’s at the time, which a lot of people don’t know. Obviously Gibson took them over later and turned Epiphone into a “budget” brand for Gibson but they’re still good guitars
They're quite decent now but back then they were entry level and even up until the last few years. Johnny Marr gave Noel a Gibson Les Paul soon after this but then Noel smashed it over a stage-invader's head in Newcastle 🤦🏻♂️😄
@@adamlitchfield3371 I got my first epiphone back in the 90's and the only difference was they don't glue down the frets and the electronics but that's easy to sort.
Buy second hand put £200 into it and you have a great axe gig.
At this time Liam was the greatest singer in the world
and he was the best tambourine player ever
I don't know why they fired their first drummer. He wasn't flashy but he hit hard and with passion. It definitely suited their sound.
Nah, there were a ton of people better then him. But he was an amazing singer at that time
I like him but GOAT ? You're delusional
Everyone says that Liam's prime was in 96, 97, 2000, etc. but those of us who have seen complete concerts from 95 and especially 94, know that this was his true PRIME
Angelic pre drugs and alcohol voice, he could even hit those falsetto notes in live forever, a thing of beauty, if anyone ever forgets why oasis became the biggest band in the world they should go back and watch these early performances.
@@kiely4561 Totally agree, also to say that apart from the vices, the bad technique that Liam began to use later, plus the Hashimoto's disease was the perfect combination to end up breaking his voice
Mid 94 to mid 95 was his best. He could still hit the high notes but there was an edginess to his voice. He’s great here but I think he was better 6 months later.
Liam's voice at 14:59 is something else. Nothing comes close to his voice in '94.
They way he carried that note...❤
imagine hearing these songs for the first time and this lad just belting them out looking cool and sounding like a god
Tony is best Oasis drummer ever
Totally agree he gave oasis that raw punk sound
maybe he is the one with the real essence and identity in their early era, i can´t argue that, but the best compared to Sharrock or White??
Zak Starkey is the best Oasis drummer.
Really ??

Liam grabbing the mic and no mic for Noel - this may be my fav Oasis era. So glad this was pro shot, wish there were more footage from the very early days

One of the best Bring It On Down performances.
Aww young Liam, what a treat. That boy never missed a tone
The pitch-perfect clarity of his voice, the slightly shoegazey guitars, unfussy drumming, not to mention a clutch of brilliant songs. They never sounded this good again.
they sounded so good, liam voice is top notch, and those epiphone roars like no other les paul., best band for the last 40 years
greatest voice of the 90s, no one else got close

Liam's voice is perfect! And I love when he's holding the mic like this
Never heard a tambourine sound so fresh.
Liam had such God-given gifts at this time. Golden vocal cords, good looks, and a songwriting genius for a brother/partner. Lucky bastard
Liam sings perfectly and looks gorgeous!
time to rub one out Luna!
Yes. He wss gorgeous. He still is.
@@coldacre I would
No record they ever made captures the sheer POWER of early Oasis. This line up w Tony McCarroll was easily the best. These songs stomp you flat! And Liam is in TOP form: his voice is so full and confrontational. By the time they get to Live Forever you’re convinced that they really ARE the best band of all time. Fookin top. Mad fer it.
You know it's the earliest Oasis (post record deal, pre singles and album release) when Liam is John Lydon'ing the mic and Bonehead still wears trainers
And Noel has no microphone!
The power & range in his voice...unbelievable
Tony McCarroll is a solid drummer
He was a good live drummer
He definitely suited their regular-beat harder tracks. But Noel didn't have that many of them, and he needed a drummer with more versatility sadly.
There's a whole bunch of tracks on Morning Glory where I just couldn't envisage McCarroll being able to produce what White does. Also his timing issues have been spoken of in the past, although I don't know if that was just in those moments where Noel was asking him to do something more complex.
This is the BEST they ever sounded. Liam is mega here. This was the band the 15 year old me went mad for back in 1994.
How Liam looks and sounds so majectic. Is he even real?
I've just listened to that falsetto note in Digsy's Dinner 10 times in a row, he could really sing back then
also the last chorus from bring it on down when he shouts "you're the outcaaaaaaast, you're the underclaaaaaaass"

I didn’t know there was a period where Liam actually touched the mic with his hand. And yes, over here he sounds like the way he does on the record. Classic Oasis
Liam singing falsetto on Live Forever was 🔥 one the best versions I've heard.
I'm just an American from Detroit who's all time favorite bands are Beatles, Oasis and Stones 😂 🏴 🇮🇪 🏴
They sound so tight and wow, Liam, wow!!!! The lyrics to, "Live Forever," are different and Liam sings the falsetto piece - Noel doesn't even have a microphone - gotta wonder what might have been if he never did...
Maybe Forever, 2023 70 yrs old first time i've heard this I'm taken with everything about this group. I do remember hearing Oasis mentioned years back but didn't pay any attention, my lose.
59 yrs old...1 month into the band....i missed the bus on this....proper
You don't know what you had until it's gone!
This is why more people should check out new bands as these were a new, up
And coming band once. Just think how good it would be to have seen them around this point and earlier
Oasis has passed the test of time like no other rock band from the 90's, for me the definition of Rock n roll and the most unique and timeless rock band ever.
This is really the only period of Oasis I really like. Maybe it’s Tony on drums.
He added a sense of rawness and feel he didn’t feel like he was programmed
If I could go back in time to watch one gig it would be this one not knebworth…his voice is the best it ever sounded and the band sound raw! An in tune sex pistols haha love this 🤟🏻
12:37 The start of the second verse is just perfect.
Magic
Best album of the 90s.
It's a joke????
@Juan pablo Arredondo it's a good album definitely not best of the 90s,
there is nothing better in the 90s or ever since
Oh wow back when baby Liam used to actually touch the microphone
I KNOWWWWW, its the best thing istg
No mic for Noel. Liam nailing Live Forever's falseto 😍😍😍
Liam used a heavy echo on his mic back then and it’s how I’ll always remember the oasis sound.
First time I've ever seen Liam sing in falsetto live.
"I think you're the same as me, take two sugars in my tea" 🤨
best lyrics!
Liam’s voice in this concert is just at the top of rock and roll
Spectacular era! Only one mic was enough!
One mic was plenty
Absolutely mind blowing. They came from another world
Liams voice is like 'club 27'; it died too young so became immortalised
Oh yes, best example is the gig at river plate Argentina. Later called as oasis live style.
@Victor Alexander He certainly is, although he sounded tired at the Taylor Hawkins gig, obviously worn out from a summer of touring. I think he sounded best on the 'down by the River Thames gig'. He'll never reach the supernatural highs of 1994 sadly.
🤍💫
Holy shit finally someone notices it too. I've been saying that for years. Been attacked about it for years too. Pretty much since the be here now days. It's the end result of abusing cigarettes & alcohol and pretending to act like sid vicious. Very disappointing indeed
@Victor Alexander of course and rock singers generally use their voices more vigorously than the average Joe. However, I feel Liams voice deteriorated significantly in a relatively short space of time. Listen to Jaz Coleman from Killing Joke; his voice still sounds phenomenal after a 4 decade career.
Nothing wrong with that drummer, perfect for the songs
The stillness of the crowd is blowing my mind. Even on first listen surely this must have been incredible
It was a gig primarily for the record industry people.
Definitely one of the best Live Forever performances
How good do they sound live here, incredible
Guigsy laughing when Liam sings "Take three sugars in my tea" during Live Forever. Brilliant 😂

With Noel not on backing vocals, it was interesting to hear Liam sing the falsetto part in Live Forever. Sounded pretty good.
I envy the people that was at this gig, what a performance, sounds exactly like it does on the album
His voice is well up there
His Voice at that time Right through To Hindu Times was Always so powerful and Pure Rock n Roll but lost it for a few years & now seems on great form again but this is a gem of an upload. Awesome 👏
Brilliant early gig. Just the loudness, rawness and Liam's voice, all amazing.
A great mix. An example of the early Oasis wall of sound. Then Noel started to use a microphone, turned his guitar up and turned Bonehead’s down. To be fair, Liam constantly caned it and paid no attention to basic vocal chord maintenance…
Liam, captured midway between hands behind back stance and Lydonesque mic stand handling.
Spot on 😆
Live Forever is Liam’s favorite Oasis song and mine too
