Great tutorial took many tries to follow you but made it. At the end all the layers opened and photo unfinished ! Guess should have watched all of the tutorial before trying to learn the technique ! I have learned couple things from this guy.
Thank you luv how you teaches. I'm a Beginner following along step by step with you at the end 3:28 what did you do next to get back to the image? You stopped and i cant seems to exit out of the black and white
The best value is upto that point in gaussian blur which makes all the texture go away but this doesn't means that all skin color should look same, like the diffrence in colors between eyes dark shades should be there but no texture.
Hey Shaun, I usually apply a base color grade for a couple reasons (eg. Boost depth, etc.) then skin retouching; and after that I do the majority of the color grade.
I do not man but the techniques I teach are concept/guideline based meany they're platform agnostic. The lessons learned are still applicable whether you're using Photoshop or Affinity/Capture One
Hehe... I m back and this time when i was going to click like button guess what i got to see. It was at 999 Likes and i did it 1K ( Not showing that i did a favor u deserve it ). Not just one time i played it with 3-5 times, I m not sure as i just used space button to pause the video to comment down and it was toggling the like XD.Btw great video.

Hey Marc, was thinking of creating a Patreon to store all the RAWs for every TH-cam video I make :)
@@justinlaurens that would be a great idea. Another way for us, the community, to show support and be able to follow along
@@justinlaurens that would mean paying for the files

Hey Shaun, I usually apply a base color grade for a couple reasons (eg. Boost depth, etc.) then skin retouching; and after that I do the majority of the color grade.

So what I did was hold Shift and click the two Layers, then hit Command + G to Group the Layers. Let me know if you have any further questions!

Results are worth it though, and you become much faster with practise. For me the whole retouching process takes 3-40 mins.
