@Bowen Kade Yeah he seems like a genuinely good person, which is hard to come by these days. Looks like he makes enough editing on his own to share a lot of his knowledge online. And I bet he makes a killing with TH-cam alone seeing as he has almost 3 mil subs. Proof that good people will get rewarded by karma.
Out of all videos I've seen on retouching skin, this is my absolute favorite. Unmesh is articulate, extremely knowledgeable, and so thorough yet rarely says too much. His approach to teaching is perfect for me. So grateful for this!
This is why Unmesh is the best. He questions things, he makes the viewers to think and question why we would or should use a certain tool or technique. I don't see that on other channels. It's not the ordinary "follow me and do this" tutorials we see, like on many of the other Photoshop channels. That would be way to easy, and you forget about it quite quickly.
I love the subtle burn: "...or don't name it, don't organize it, and get lost later." I feel that! I organize my files well because I always expect to hand them off to another designer at some point.

So I've always wondered why it's recommended to fill the dodge/burn layer with 50% Gray. Why not just keep the layer transparent so you can use the eraser tool. Seems way more convenient and I don't see the upside of filling with Gray. Any thoughts?
This is the best video I have seen this month. I was following along with my own image with all the steps and works great, without being too time consuming. I also created a one click action to create the 50 percent gray soft light layer. Thank you big time!
