Sara majored in poetry in college and leveraged her unique educational background during job interviews, emphasizing poets as "the original systems thinkers." She secured her first job at a top media agency in NYC, and leveraged that into a position at Epic, a HealthTech company.
After nearly a decade in her role at Epic, a supportive manager encouraged her to pursue an MBA. During graduate school, she met her cofounder, Amarildo, and identified a gap in the financial system for international professionals, particularly around access to credit and banking services.
This led to the creation of their company, Adro.
