I like estate sales better than garage sales! Automatically you get a thumbs up even before I watch it. I have bought so many thrifted shirts that now if I buy one, I make myself donate one to a mission. This removes most of the guilt when I look in my closet.
Its amazing to think Kermie was just asleep up on the high shelf in the garage since 1978 until you came along in 2023 and toppled him down. From slumber to life again.
Hey Miss Moose.... notes on your video.......looks like you bought little Pam some glasses @ 8:54 😎.... Kim Kardashian's dentist's next door neighbor called and wants to buy your Jetson's Pin.😂..... The cameo with black choker is so YOU!.....I bet if you posed in those Valentine's Day PJ's in your eBay ad, , people would pay big bucks for them! 💵 good video!👍
When I was editing, I saw how my face reacted when I could see myself in the camera while I was filming putting the pendant on. Ooof! Haha. I did think it looked good though. Perhaps I can put a picture of Dickel inside of the locket!
@PaperandMoose Exactly ! You could not leave him there!! We are huge fans in the UK and especially my age group (I'm 67) as muppets were my fave obsession in my college days ! 🐷🐸xxxx And I just remembered Kermie and Miss P made an appearance at our Kings' recent coronation celebration concert !!😊
Holy clothes Batman!!!!!!!!!!!......Should have grabbed that pocketknife....Some are worth money.....I have a locket like that, that was sealed shut.....there was ashes inside.....You found some cool stuff....🥰😍♥
The cameo looks like something from the 1920s that was either repaired by an amateur or frankensteined. The charm bracelet might be .800 silver instead of sterling - look carefully and check the clasp under a loupe. It may be one of the goldtoned ones.
Hey Renee. The glasses you got from the sale. Why don't you give them to Pam. I can not believe you found Kermit the frog. A few years back. Kermit and frog 🐸 was the snail 🐌 on the Mask Singer. It is fun to see you out and about. God Bless you Renee. Great and wonderful treasures. Take care. Mari'a. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That was an amazing estate sale. I was rather intrigued by the quilts and chenille bed spreads that were on the beds when you were going through the t-shirts. So glad you like to dig in all those boxes. Love the laundry bag and nail bag.
I totally missed the quilts & bedspreads! That happens far too often, I can be looking directly at something and still somehow not see if, it that makes any sense!
Enjoyed the video…you seemed especially upbeat! 😃 My girlfriend buys and sells vintage T shirts and does very good. Sold one for almost $1,000 was from an ‘80s motorcycle shop and showed some bikers setting on a porch, apparently by a noted biker artist and rare. She got it for nothing , was left behind in the trash at an auction We sold it on eBay and it attracted the attention of some foreign buyer who would win it but not pay , we relisted it only for him to do it again under another name. Idea is the thinking the price would get lower. The artwork had a confederate flag the size of your thumbnail and a person reported it with eBay stopping the auction. Interesting the next day a person listed another identical shirt with a $1,200 buy it now and sold it. …I think he was the one that reported our shirt. She finally sold it privately Quite the cut throat business I think.
I've heard of that occurring, where you and only one other seller are selling something rare, so they report your listing (especially if you are priced lower), just so it gets removed. eBay can be a crazy world at times!
Hello Renee. Nice estate sale. So much to see and buy. I’m abscesses with the cameo on you that was beautiful. I can see you dressed in a Victorian dress with your hair done and it on . That would be gorgeous. It’s just what I seen in my mind when you showed it. Cute T-shirts you got. And the PJs how adorable are they. Meet George Jetsons Jane his wife daughter Jude his son Elroy and Astro . I love the Jetsons . Poor Kermit , no one puts Kermit on shelf that’s just horrible. Love the sale . Great fun . Take care. 🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️☕️🫖☕️🫖☕️🫖🥰🥰💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Can't believe that I forgot Astro's name for a few seconds! Good thing they had the catchy intro song so I could remember. I was surprised by how much I liked how the cameo pendant looked on me. Wasn't expecting that!
Hi Renee. Great video. That was a great estate sale. I know they can be hit or miss. This was definitely a hit. Thanks for taking us along. Have a great rest of your week.
I like when you found kermit you said "you can't stay there You come home with me" I love Kermit but I am a jewellery hound and I was thinking the same thing just ask how much for all of it then you kept walking over to the end of the table and all jewellery Whoa‼️ That would be quite a haul but I'd be in my glory checking out every single piece and that would be an undertaking but soooo fun 💞💕💖 🇨🇦🦩
I love to dig also. Mostly at estate sales. There's a local to me company that occasionally has 'picker sales' because they have so much stuff. I've gotten some great stuff at their picker sales.
Some pretty nice impressions from a typical yard sale with a little bit of everything. I didn´t see grandpa´s coin collection with tons of Morgan silver dollars, but nevertheless a lot of neat stuff like the costume jewelry, some old vinyl records or poor little Kermit. 🐸 Tomorrow will be my appointment with the antique book collector in the Bremen area, hope it will be a successful trip. If you have some special wishes, please let me know. Nope, not the page from the Gutenberg Bible again, because you already got one ! 😉So it´s time for a change in your life, like you promised, Renée ! 😀Have a wonderful rest of this Thursday (rainy over here), and see you on the next one ! Greets from GER, U.
I wouldn't even know what to request! My mind keeps thinking of the scene in Disney's Bedknobs & Broomsticks, where they are on the search for the Spells of Astoroth book, so they venture to Portobello Road in London, in hopes of finding the book. All the old carts filled with books, a bibliophile's dream! Now I just thought of the vast difference between book collecting then & now, all thanks to technology. So much to think about in regards to something as "simple" as a book! Hope that your appointment goes well!
I did love the cameo. I have several old cameos even a cameo Locket but I also loved your big flower, pen the colors They just popped. Did like the Jetson. pen you are right you don’t see those just everywhere not too much in the T-shirts but when I feel a soft one, if it’s my size I will get it it’s like having nothing on thanks for the video I enjoyed it bye
👍This was so great to watch. Your eye is so trained and you trust your heart and you are willing to go out and do the work💪‼ Thank you Renee for this fun video👵👍 I will be waiting for more. God bless you always🙏
Wow! The amount of STUFF, including clothing in that house! Literally made me nauseous! When we die …. It says what we valued, efc. So grateful I choose to have a total of 5 shirts, 5 pairs of pants, 5 socks, etc. I’ve learned every single thing we own/have takes requires energy and time …to manage, store, care for it (let alone money to buy it, etc). Simplicity is happiness IMHO. This video re-reminds me of that! Wow!
The albums were great! I was a teenager in the 80's and recognized them all! My 40th class reunion is this month and we are having an 80's themed dress code!! Fun!!!🥰🥰🥰
I will watch anything you put out. Estate sales are good. They had many different things to see. I’d had to get that jets pin and Kermit for sure. Congrats on your finds. ~ Texas
Loved Paul Revere and the Raiders. Had that record and saw them in c oncert as a teen! I was a Fang fan but think he left the group! They were on the tv show Where the Action Is and I watched that everday after school! Good times!
The German shield charm bracelet is probably silver. All of those type charms I've bought have been silver. If older they may not be sterling, 925, silver, instead they may be 800 silver. I sure hope you bought that 1920's-30's era cigar ash tray with the king tut head on it. That should bring a good price.
Thinking about your comment about other traders buying from you at flea market sales and then offering it for sale again at a higher price - we run a stall on the street market in Bridport, Dorset, UK and we see traders doing that ALL the time, they buy early and as soon as they scurry back to their stall they have it for sale at twice the price, if not more!!! With absolutely no guarantee that they will sell it, it never fails to amuse!
Yes! The exact same thing happens here. Sometimes before we leave the market, we take a look and the item might or might not be on their table. I look at it as - I've made my money back, I've sold it at a decent price, and good for them if they are able to turn around and make some money as well. It really is a cycle with market inventory... from one table, to the next, to the next!
@@PaperandMoose Absolutely, I have seen the same item (it was a vintage sixties kitchen stool that had been recovered with quite a distinctive fabric, so I’m pretty sure it was the same one) on sale from three different sellers on three consecutive weeks and the selling price was considerably higher than the original price! I didn’t see it again, so I assumed it sold... crazy! Does prove that the early bird certainly gets the worm.
Yes the lady was really full of good times! I must say it reminds me of me:) I have a lot of good memories and still celebrate the seasons:) Enjoy life Rene!!!
Oh sweetheart this was so fun. And you were so happy. You got some great stuff. I love how you can wear the shirts. Do you ever find any jeans? Did you buy some of those albums? It's so much fun to watch you dig. I love you. Stay safe and healthy. I ❤️😘💞💞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏✌️👶
Hi Renee another great older video. Love it!!❤ I love all kinda tee shirts like that because I am vintage lol!! Blessings your friend Joyce from California HUGS ❤️ 🫂 🤗
How did I miss this video??? What a great estate sale! Vintage jewelry! Uriah Heep! Blondie! So many great items. Keep searching for vintage clothing. You have a great eye for vintage & great style. I have been collecting vintage clothes since I was a teen back in the late 80s & early 90s. I remember purchasing a vintage raincoat at the iconic Screaming Mimis in NYC for a stupid amount of money. If I had found the same coat at a rummage sale, I probably would have overlooked it at the time. Location, location, location.
I buy all my T shirts at Goodwill. They are better quality and sometimes brand new. Second place is Walmart because the warped sense of humor of the T shirt designers matches mine. It is so hot here in TX,108 actual degrees, that my shirt is stiff with sweat! 8 weeks of over 100 degree actual heat plus orange air, plus red flag warnings. HAD3S. NO RELIEF IN SIGHT. WOW WOW WOW. LOOK AT ALL THAT JEWELRY. I liked the T shirts too. What a bonanza. You picked up the album " Iron Butterfly". I'm having the theme song played at my funeral ! Is the owner of the albums still alive? I'll be right over. I feel a party like nonother coming on. Renee, have you ever gone back the day after the sale is over? Ow they want it gone. I know people who have gone back and payed 50 bucks for a toy collection that on the last day was 500 bucks. Your Charm bracelet is Sterling silver.
Its crazy I have found out if i put BIN for $15 vs starting it at auction for $4, the auction price ,the majority of the time, will end up bringing more than the BIN price.
...awww you got Kermit...he's my main squeeze! 💖😍❤️🔥 This is my kind of sale, as well...man I could've stayed a whole day! ...and left broke lol. Re: the reselling...but at a buck or two a shirt, who cares? Never gonna reach that elusive pinnacle unless you start, and keep going. eBay is not static, and with sheer determination you can reach that level...just have to quit making excuses.
Oh to have been early to that jewelry hoard! It looked like a lot of low-grade costume, but you never know. Picked up a single-stitch t-shirt myself today for a whole dollar. Hartford Whalers hockey, unworn. For a buck, why not?
I used to listen to the Whalers on a crystal radio under the covers - I was supposed to be asleep - when I was a kid. Occasionally got to go to a game. Moved to NC in '94 and not too long after the franchise came here as the Carolina Hurricanes.
When you mentioned the song by Survivor, I had to go and look it up. It brought back some good memories. Thanks for mentioning the song. I had forgotten all about it, but when I listened to it, I remembered the words. Crazy how we can remember songs from the past but cannot remember what we had for breakfast. Lol
I hear you on that! I hear a song I haven't heard for 15 years and yet still remember the lyrics. Meanwhile, there are times when I really have to think about what I did a few days ago!
I enjoy watching your videos!!! I love the items you find. Not sure what condition those record albums were in, but you should have grabbed all of them. They would have sold.
Know what you mean about the "basketball guy" pricing! I love estate sales much better than going to or watching yard sales, thanks for taking us along.
Day made again, thanks for flipping through the vinyl records, love seeing what's still out there, very good t-shirt haul, also I use Poshmark now to pick up t-shirts. :)
Hi - seems like in all of life, it's who you know! That cameo locket was pretty slick - even if it is a DIY, I wonder if that might increase the value because of uniqueness / scarcity? Black velvet band reminded me of the old ghost story where the lady wore a choker constantly, until one night her husband unfastened it when she was sleeping and her head rolled off :). Photo album looked interesting. Shirts were nice too - not things which I know much about so enjoyed your explanations. Wasn't Botany 500 one of the groups that provided prizes on The Price Is Right? Or am I confused? Weather & sale prospects look dismal here this weekend, but I really need to cull some of the things I already have that can be sold. Have a great Thursday afternoon!
Was that story in one of the "Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark" books? I forgot about it until you mentioned the story, but it does sound familiar! Rainy days are great for staying in and going through your piles. You'll be happy to have made some room for the next good sale! (Speaking of which, an estate sale tomorrow, run by the same company as this sale, which should mean digging! Parking looks to be a bit of a hassle, so I'll be getting there early to get a spot!)
@@PaperandMoose That's not where I first read it, but you got me intrigued so I looked it up. It wasn't in "Scary Stories ...," but it was in a 1984 easy reader version of "Scary Stories ..." by the same author (Alvin Schwartz) called, "In a Dark, Dark Room and other Scary Stories." The story has been around for a long time and has been titled many ways; in "Dark, Dark Room ...," it's called, "The Green Ribbon." Apparently the story dates to 17th century France & the French Revolution when it was popular as an oral tale. At a time when political opponents agreed with the King in, "Alice in Wonderland," that, "... anything that had a head could be beheaded," it became fashionable to wear a red velvet ribbon to symbolize revolutionaries who had been guillotined. In 1824 Washington Irving further popularized the story and brought it to the US when he published a version of the story titled, "The Adventure of the German Student," in his collection called "Tales of a Traveller." The lore is that Thomas Moore (Irish poet / lyricist) told Irving the story. (Some other sources credit Alexander Dumas with the first publication). In 1970, Ann McGovern published a book called, "Ghostly Fun," which contained the story under the title, "The Velvet Ribbon." In McGovern's telling, the husband cuts the ribbon off - previous versions had the wife removing it on her own. I think this is where I first read it. Despite this history, Alvin Schwartz is credited with re-popularizing the story for current generations in 1984 in, "Dark, Dark Room ..." Well, I have probably bored you into a stupor but I had fun looking that all up! Thanks!
OMG KERMIT!!!! I absolutely love Kermit. He can sell for a decent price. I had a chance to buy a lot of Kermit stuff including phones that worked for cheap. I kick myself all the time seeing how much they can go for. Of course I wouldn't sell them 😂
My aunt passed away she gave her heirs money as in credit they could spend at her estate sale after everything was sold the money remaining was paid off in cash from the proceeds of her estate sale. Win win they got what they wanted plus cash for the remainder pretty cool
Those ceramic Jack-O-Lanterns look like some of my buddies in my collection! I just found a black "Strobe Cat"...his eyes are adjustable strobe lights...quite a cool cat! Great for my next Disco party! That mini Juke Box would be on my take home list! I have two larger versions of the 1948 Wurlitzer, one plays cassettes, the other CDs, both have AM radios as well. More jewelry! I'd be looking for vintage Masonic lapel pins, as well as fr-g pins, yes these do exist, as I have a half a dozen of these guys...both in silver and gold plate. Ah...Kermit hanging out in the workshop! Yeah....also my kind of sale...looking everywhere!!! You can have all the clothes you want...I just ignore that category. Now, a shirt showing empty Market Street with boarded up retail spaces would be up-to-date for San Francisco! Somehow an old guy (me) wearing advertising shirts would be a laugh!
All those pins, all that jewelry and not one frog! I still say that one time I'll go to an estate sale and the person will have collected frogs. It has to happen at some point! Any plans for the weekend?
@@PaperandMoose Lunch today with a couple of buddies. Later, negotiating a potential sale of two 1931 Majestic Radio Consoles to a collector who lives in Sand Point, Idaho...the right location, as he is in the sand and gravel business!! Sold three other sets for a total of $575, plus donating pieces to the museum. Yesterday visited two thrift stores...a Sal. Army and G.W. Just found a couple of practical items...as mentioned...most, if not all vintage stuff is not to be found! There is one estate sale, which is liquidating an Asian dealer's stock...most all is modern...made in the "Big C"! Skipping that one, not worth the drive!
I wish I could spend two months in the US and visit as many flea markets, yard sales and other places like that as possible. I would love to fill up a shipping container and take it back to Norway. 😊
Kinda crazy reply ... I’m about your age and live in SF ... California toe-head and find myself watching you a few hours a week because of your NJ accent and manor ... different from the left coast treasure hunters I meet ... nothing much happens in your videos but I find them interesting - I like flea-markets and urban treasure hunting and your presentation/discussion/viewer questions are interesting and relaxing ... and I like Yellowstone too ... hahaha ... ANYWAY... Yup that was definitely a SF summer tourist sweatshirt the shops sell ... kinda ugly for us locals ... Tourist think its warm on the CA coast in the summer but as Mark Twain said the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco ... Love your stuff ... just had to chime in after all this time ...
This is so weird I was just thinking today don't you ever go to yard sales, been watching from your beginning when u went trash picking,I also go picking and actually resell a lot and give to people in need.😊
Me and my brother use to love going to estate sales he would always haggle the price he was a auctioneer so he would take all the stuff and auction it off he did very well

That goes for collectible glass too. Popularity and following sets the high prices.
Hi Renee another great older video. Love it!!❤ I love all kinda tee shirts like that because I am vintage lol!! Blessings your friend Joyce from California HUGS ❤️ 🫂 🤗
I love to dig!!!!
I remember
purchasing a vintage raincoat at the iconic Screaming Mimis in NYC for a stupid amount of money. If I had found the same coat at a rummage sale, I
probably would have overlooked it at the time. Location, location, location.
I love digging through boxes and other things
Loved the jewelry especially! Also, your hair is looking really healthy! Love it!
Hi great sale I wish u would have gotten the journey I would have bought it people fight for old journey albums with Steve Perry song
Loved the shirts! I would definitely keep those for myself too!
...awww you got Kermit...he's my main squeeze! 💖😍❤️🔥
This is my kind of sale, as well...man I could've stayed a whole day! ...and left broke lol.
Re: the reselling...but at a buck or two a shirt, who cares? Never gonna reach that elusive pinnacle unless you start, and keep going. eBay is not static, and with sheer determination you can reach that level...just have to quit making excuses.
Excellent sale hope you make some 💲💲💲👍🏻🤠🇬🇧
Oh to have been early to that jewelry hoard!
Yes that was a awesome cool video.💯
Darlin Girl You Rock love watchin you girl take care & have fun
What a fun sale. I truly love those type. Great video and cool finds!
Day made again, thanks for flipping through the vinyl records, love seeing what's still out there, very good t-shirt haul, also I use Poshmark now to pick up t-shirts. :)
I love digging around, tho doing it one handed with a camera is tricky lol Good seeing ya Sunday, catch up with you folks soon!
I remember that black velvet choker story! Our school librarian told it to us! 😐
Thanks!
@PaperandMoose And if you'll forgive me saying so, it did look quite good on you. I think you should get some Dickel beard and keep it.
Enjoyed tagging along...lots to look at...some good looking pins...and Kermit...and lots of t-shirts..good finds..🥰🥰
dutch Wonderland! brought the kids there in the 90s-would love to see the 60s pics.Great video
OMG KERMIT!!!! I absolutely love Kermit. He can sell for a decent price. I had a chance to buy a lot of Kermit stuff including phones that worked for cheap. I kick myself all the time seeing how much they can go for. Of course I wouldn't sell them 😂
Enjoyed the video 😊👍
Love your videos and your fun attitude. You must be getting good at spotting money makers. Good luck young lady.
Another wonderful video - Greetings from Alison across the pond in Northern Ireland xx
I've always wondered ... what does "Basketball Guy" DO with the basketballs?????
He is the middleman with another basketball guy who makes crazy art with the basketballs :0)
Is the terrier pin a Joan Rivers item? ❤
Love 80 and 90 ❤️
My aunt passed away she gave her heirs money as in credit they could spend at her estate sale after everything was sold the money remaining was paid off in cash from the proceeds of her estate sale. Win win they got what they wanted plus cash for the remainder pretty cool
The cameo suits you, I think any choker would really
Love The Red TeeShirt Your Wearing.😊
Why don’t you and Taco advertise your eBay stores here on TH-cam? I’d look and buy from y’all.
I agree, I would too!
Me too
Those ceramic Jack-O-Lanterns look like some of my buddies in my collection!
@@larryboysen5911 Sounds like a packed, but fun, weekend!
@@PaperandMoose Renee, May the same be for your weekend!
I wish I could spend two months in the US and visit as many flea markets, yard sales and other places like that as possible. I would love to fill up a shipping container and take it back to Norway. 😊
I was yelling “ASTRO” at you and it seems that you must have heard me!
Great estate sale 😊
The 'bee hive' bottle on the table looked interesting. 🙂
Single dingle!
Single dingle! Haha, saying that always makes me laugh.
Just bought iron butterfly CD, inagada da vida have the record flrom years ago..best played as loud as possible
Great estate sale. Lots of goodies.
Renee, Dutch Wonderland is in Lancaster
💜
I would have been at the sale all day.
Those tees n sweatshirt..are nice.m💯
9:36 is the first Black Sabbath album. Ozzy Osbourne's name is spelled "Ossie" on the back of it. Bummer you didn't grab that one.
