      I actually have a medical question to ask you to be honest I had about a 23 foot fall, landed on my arms and the upper portion of my body I had to have a cranioplasty and used a leg brace for 6 to 8 weeks, had metal implants in my leg and forehead and a slight fracture in my right arm, 45 staples and many stitches later im on the road to recovery and I've rested alot watched tons of your videos and been taking it easy, I recently had a 4 hour drive to visit family and I woke up with horrendous rib pain I have a feeling its just bruising or maybe a crack ribbed but would there be any reason why I wouldn't feel it before and I woke up in agony today

    As a Danish football fan, who loves our no.10. I am extremely grateful. Not only to everyone helping Eriksen, both on the pitch and afterwards. But also to the Finnish team and fans. The players quickly called for the medics, as I saw it. And both they and their fans showed extreme grace, respect and empathy during this whole ordeal.
    Not sure if there was any thought behind it, but seeing the Finnish flag being used to keep praying eyes and cameras away, as he was carried out. Made me happy. It was a great symbol for the respect I saw on display from the Finnish today.
    Seeing something like this, gives me some comfort, that there is hope for humanity yet.

      For lay rescuers chest compressions should virtually always be prioritized over mouth to mouth in presumed cardiac arrest. There are mountains of research showing it’s the better way. And stop trying to pull peoples tongues out of their mouths, it’s a complete waste of time. People do not swallow their tongues when they arrest. Matter of fact pulling the jaw down and sticking your hand in the mouth can obstruct any breathing effort they may still have in some situations.
      These are not just my recommendations, they’re from the American heart association which studies tens of thousands of rescue attempts and their outcomes, as well as the European resuscitation council and virtually every major medical text on airway management published in the past century.

People don't want to be in a situation where they'd need to perform CPR, because that's a terrifying situation. So thankful he is awake and stabilized. Great job from his medical team and his teammates.
    Years ago, when I was 19... in the morning on the bus to work I was across from an older big man who ended up having a heart attack right across from me. I remember the bus driver calling to him because they were talking and he just stopped. When I looked up his eyes were budging and rolling up into the back of his head, I went over and he had no pulse and I heard his last breath escape as his tongue jutted out of his mouth. It was a horrific scene. We could not bring him back, paramedics came and could not save him and told us his heart pretty much exploded there was nothing anyone could have done. He was quite an obese man, who had ran to the bus before sitting down right away instead of letting his pulse come down while walking around... I went to his eulogy at the school he worked for, just a year from retirement. His family thanked me for being there since he lived alone and if that happened at home it would be longer to find him. And before that happened on that day I had the audacity to think I was the one having a bad day. RIP Dennis. Scariest thing I ever experienced that still stays with me a decade later as I turn 29 this year... People are shook just to have seen a bit of it on camera, it's so much more intense being there in the thick of it... and his teammates and medical staff handled it very well. I am glad this young man survived this and his life was saved.

    • @riskybubble
      @riskybubble 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Yeah and before he collapsed he was seen to take a strong spurt after the ball. I am not a professional, but I have played sports and heard about these kinds of events happening and even though some people think this cannot happen to healthy athletes it actually can happen. I play floorball and have heard healthy adults collapse and die like that. It happens when you go over your limits. Eriksen could have been over-training and not getting enough rest before the match and/or taken something to make himself alert. Many big athletes use some kind of stuff to make their performance better. I am not saying this happened to Eriksen, but it instantly came to my mind as a possibility. He is the star player. Even with a good heart it could have been too much. One possibility is he has some kind of a medical condition like a heart defect which has not been diagnosed before. Or maybe he was getting down with a flu but didn't realize it and it got to his heart. Anyway the most important thing is that he is stable now. I was praying for him!

    • @chriswalker143
      @chriswalker143 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@koppilork realistically no players dying on the field or in training happens a lot in football because the amount of running affects the heart.
