On my 43rd bike now (all i can remember anyway!) and it's a 500X. All I can say is that I'm now riding more and having more fun than ever. So easy to push about, jump on and go anywhere especially the snotty single track welsh lanes around me.

I have been riding for 45yrs and owned 1,000cc to 1,300cc sports bikes and Adventure bikes. Getting older, I bought a CB500X 2023 model and absolutely love it. Wife often comes as pillion and still enough power to enjoy the ride and keep up with traffic. Highly recommend this bike to anyone.

I am 47 year old and never rode a bike other than a 125 scooter. Got this bike a week ago and 800kms laterI am already getting quite comfortable with it and I loving it. What great first bike!

i have been riding for 44 years. and have just traded my cbf600 in for a 2023 cb500x. love it. fast enough sounds great and the fuel economy what's not to like.

I'm loving my CB500X - so easy, relaxed and manoeuvrable, but the engine has enough 'pep' to be fun as well. Next time you're up at Damerell's, have a go on the GSX 8S - I think you'll love it! PS Jane's the wife - it's John here!

Great video sir. After speaking with Honda they are not releasing the new NX500 to the US market due to low polling/feedback which blows my mind. I will have to just pick up this fine CB500X then as I think it is a great value and awesome bike. Great review!
The NX is a cb500x, it's really only a styling and model realignment for the Euro market. You enjoy your cb500x its a wonderful bike
rode a demo last year in all my lots of years riding,this has got to be the easist bike i have ridden.

I have bought this bike, new from Honda dealer, preferring it over the nx500, which was the one I wanted to buy. Finally I went for cb500x which had much more aesthetic impact. I love this bike.

I was litterally looking at this bike today - was it you that made it all muddy? lol. Great review, and it's been really weird watching a review in my local area (I'm in Trewoon). I was out on my 2019 CB500x on some of the same roads only a couple of days ago. It's interesting how you got on with the little CB considering your height, would you consider having one in your garage then?

personally I prefer the nc750x...you must test ride them both.....thank for watching
Hi Lofty. Just passed my mod1 and mod2 at 62. Which bike do you think is better for a 12 mile commute each way throughout the year in town and the occasional longer distance? Presumably the forza has better weather protection and less maintenance but the 500x maybe more fun. Any comments on my decision would be great.

I had one and it was a nice enough bike, but I couldn't live with the budget suspension.

@@davidmatthews3093 I guess it depends how you use it and your personal expectations. I also went the Rally Raid route but was still not satisfied. (I am very fussy with suspension). Eventually traded it for Tiger 1200 GT Pro. This is the suspension I was searching for. Obviously a lot more money, but worth it for me.
At the beginning sound is only the left ear mate , the main part of the review is ok .
How strange same mic and camera for intro and walk round. Which I believe in mono anyway ?

So after 50years Honda deliver a 500 with all the modern tech thrown at it but with less power than a 1970's 500/4 and without the good looks and presence😢😢😢

@@theloftybiker3090 It's not about being my kind of bike. Apart from cleaner emissions it's about the lack of progress over 50 years. 2kg weight difference, less power, and clone clone like looks 😢
Honda could sell 1950's leaky unreliable British bikes if their badges were stuck on them.
Example-1980s boy racer Ford RS2000 came with 120hp, today's equivalents 200hp plus. What are Honda playing at ?¿?¿😢
@@vacoasrebel6729 I agree 100%...playing safe as usual. I don't suppose they are ploughing much development money into the ICE bikes. I'm riding the CL500 Tuesday it's another one.
@@theloftybiker3090 if you replace 50 year old carbs setup with injection system and modern exhaust and cat you can sort emissions and gain more power. With modern materials and computer modeling surely they don't need to spend a fortune on 500 class bikes that they have produced millions of since the 60's?
Without an EV miracle there will be a very limited bike market as we know it. Bike market needs ICE, and synthetic clean fuel that the EU have quietly agreed to recently 😉
