Bought the green one and just coming up to my first thousand k's, loving the bike, not so keen on the seat. I put a taller screen on mine as I found the wind hit me on the top of my helmet, made the world of difference. Got lots of weekend rides planed and this should go anywhere I want it to, great for me as an older returning rider.
These aren't just for beginners four people coming from smaller bikes. My current bike is nearly 1,500 CC and I'm finding the idea of a more efficient, lighter bike attractive. I like to tour but I want to move away from bulky heavy bikes. I like the frame mounted fairing on this. As for storage I've discovered I don't need to bring much with me anyway.
I had a 2014 model and i make about 15.000 km. The bike is great , very easy to ride, low fuel consuming, reliable. The problem was on highway and with pillion. Otherwise is a great great bike not only for beginners.
I live in south Spain, i have one like the one you are showing, Amazing on fuel ⛽ real amazing, power 47 B.H.P. on the main road very steep hills and mountains great, it keeps up with BMW motorbikes and others makes to and still alot more economical.
If you going to do off road, you will add about 20 kg of radiator and engine guard, skid plate, pannier and luggage racks that will take it to 220 kg. I had my 2022 up to 170 km, at 600 below the red line. Riding on the back and rural roads below 105 km average was 110 km per 3.8 liters, or 514 km on a tank. I put 9,000 km on the bike from June to late October, two oil and filter changes and no problems.
@@violetspider_ Why would you say that I put 40,000 Km in one summer on my 883, and got it late in the season. In Canada. A 5 month season it is only 8,000 a month or 2.000 a week not hard to do, 286 miles a day, lived in Barrie Ont. and worked in Toronto and that is 202 km just to work and back than add a evening ride of 100 or 200 km, My weekend rides are often 400 to 500 km a day. ( Bikers short cut, if destination is south start out by heading north, and find every windy road you can. )
Great video,Thanks very much... One thing that perplexes me and it's almost universal among commentators is that 'bigger is better'... you mention that this bike would be a good transition to a bigger bike...but it's just not you it's seems everyone in the industry!?? I don't understand!??I believe you should buy the bike that best fits your purpose and it could be a 125cc scooter or up to a 1250 GS...it depends on what you are doing... So my point is this bike might be perfect for one person but not another... Anyhow, thanks for the vlog it was informative and thorough!
The display has several brightness settings if you will check the operator manual it explains how it can be adjusted, I think it comes delivered on setting 3 out of 5 brightness. More power would be good but I don't want to give up mpg, maybe a different state of tune for more torque at lower rev's at the expense of higher rpm power?
Honda 500 line up is the best. I had cb500f 2021 and now I have rebel 500 2022. For me the best among the 4 models with this engine. My only complain is the power of the engine. 10 hp more needed. But they do it for the a2 license. Anyway 500 lineup is the best.

Nice video and thank you. Do you think this beautiful motorcycle is beginner friendly!? I am a 50 years old beginner with 1,83cm high and 110kg weight. Looking to buy my first bike and love this Honda. Does the handguards come with the bike or is optionnal? Regards from far away Serbia 🇷🇸✌️
Hi , and thank you so much for the compliment 🙏 Yes perfect beginner bike for you, your height (I am 1,81cm) and have both feet flat on the ground, upright seating wide handlebars for good control. Bike is very light compared to bigger and adventure bikes and the power is soft and smooth 👍🏻 Hand guards are an option. Enjoy it and take one for a test ride, you will love it 👍🏻

Mate, great review. Very informative for someone like myself who is looking to downsize from my fourth BMW GS. At 75 the GS is just becoming too heavy to pick up if travelling by myself in the outback. The CB500X looks very capable. My only criticism of your review is your lack of compliance with the road rules which gives us motorcyclists a bad name.
Jesus. You scared me. You're riding on the wrong side of the road! I was on a cruise to the Bahamas and rented a moped. Pulled right out in front of a cop going the wrong way. He just laughed and waved. Thank God......
@@route21garage They are mostly pre sold and are actually hens teeth here in the states. I had to watch Moto Hunt every day to see what was coming into the dealers. Was lucky enough to see one two states away with a one day indication on the floor of the shop. Called dealer and salesman said he didn't have any? I said I was seeing on in inventory. He said wait a minute truck just pulled up. Went out and said one was on it?! Said he didn't know it was coming in and how did I know? He sold it to me on the phone with a $100 deposit and I drove 250 miles to pickup the next day. Was able to find two others using the same technique but they where all at dealers over 750 miles away.
Norman De George , I just replied to the poster here, my friend wanted one, we live near Duluth, MN. We ended up driving to Sioux Falls, SD, and this means going right through Minneapolis, to get one! There was nothing in all of north-central MN and WI !! Ridiculous, and the dealer in Duluth is trying to get anything he can for new Yamaha's and Honda's. I was looking to get a CRF300L or 450L or Yamaha WR and I'd have to make a deposit and HOPE to get a 2022 by summer. I may now get a Beta as we have a dealer "only" 75 miles away.
They way you are riding is a very bad example for new riders, this video should be taken off the internet. and you should have your license suspended. Nice info but that is no way to show new riders how to ride, not only should they suspend your license but send you back for retraining course before they let you back on the road.
+ heated handles, central support, wind deflectors.. 750€ = over 10,000€ in Finland. 1/2 cheaper than what you would really dream of 😅 cb500x is the wisest choice.
