worked like a charm. during the process I was really nervous and couldn't burn the cables and tape them together strong so one side wasn't working. But after several attempts, before building the pieces together I managed to fix it. solid tutorial

Oi, thanks
Useful video even to just know what I can take apart and not break anything more in order to glue a cracked swivel back together
Hi mate I am stuck need help. How do you get rid of the hinge without cutting the wire?
Break it / Cut it apart with pliers or a snipping tool. If you have a dremel this works too.
@@BackwoodsGump ok then what about after
Btw, does the wire cutting trick affect audio quality/volume? I'd imagine there'd be a bit more resistance as compared to an intact wire
I haven't found it to be any different in quality. Spliced wires are not uncommon in speaker setups, etc
After such manipulations, the right side became quieter. Now I'm thinking about replacing the earphone(
@@artanisky4428 actually this. it was okay for couple of days however I feel like right side is quiter now :(
I'm not sure what I did wrong but I don't have sound on the other speaker :((
the same thing happened to me, only the left side works now.
@@patricioturpin6627 burning the ground wire as well fixed it for me, I didn't think they would also cover the ground one lol
Same for me :(
no way am i doing all of that...>_< i dont even own a screwdriver
