Dr victor olaiya club stadium hotel was just 2mins to my primary school in the year 1968 we use to see him outside later when I grow up o started going to the club disco we call it joof during that time on Sunday the hotel was abandoned during the civil war

i will be 30 this year, i wasnt born when Dr Victor Abimbola Olaiya recorded all this songs. But am a huge fan of his music, i so so much love him, he made me love highlife music. I started buying his albums 5 years ago.My Favourite tracks, Mr judge,iye jemila,yabomisa,omopupa,lafia wa la wani,africa,incantation, ilu le,a ba mi so fun sisi yen. Please can someone hook me up with him. Am presently in the uk. Please just to have a picture with him or hear is voice.

how i used to live and awe of this man was little 10year old watching him come back onmy way to school early in the mornings andhe meet up with his mates on a saturday afternoon was a party every saturday they came over for his pounded yam i guess his music.
Adefenwa, you would have to go to Lagos to see Victor Abimbola Olaiya. When I was in Nigeria two years ago, I was told that he is still playing at his Night Club in Suru Lere with his son. He would be 87 now. He said in the newspapers that he would never retire from playing music till he dies.
