The powerful voices of Josky Kiambukuta Londa and Ntesa Dalienst linger in a number of songs under the umbrella of TP OK jazz. The silky and mellow voices are forever rewarding. None has come closer ,in terms of voice combination, than these two Rhumba kings. The Master, Franco, looked for them!! Thank you all. Dr. Ogeto International
What a mellifluous voice! The only griot in the all powerful band that would with amazing readiness blend with any voice in the vocals. The griot has left an indelible mark in this world. He has left it as a better place than he found it. Through your works, you'll forever dwell amongst the living.
Mola wetu akuhifadhi vyema nasi tutaendelea kuku kumbuka kwa urithi ulio tuachia. Nani kama Josky Kiambukuta?
Thanks AboubacarSiddikh for posting this song. As we continue to celebrate the life of Le Commandant Josky, this is one song that brings out the mellowness in the TPOK team. Just listen to the combo of Wuta, Ntesa & Pepe as they croon ' bolingo episangai malade ya motema' This was the perfect backup for the Commandant with his nasal vocals. This is also one of the OK songs where the bass rules. The others being in my view, Kimpa Kisangameni, Tu Vois Mamou, Attention Na Sida, Ndaya. Please take your time and listen to each instrument carefully. Fare thee well OK
Sunday, 13 October 2019. Aboubacar, I feel greatly RELIEVED (as well as THANKFUL) at this posting. The gap since your last postings had me worried (and I am sure I speak for all who follow you). This also coincides with the 30th anniversary of the passing on of without doubt Africa’s greatest Musician and Band leader. I would dearly love if you could post live performance(s) by Ndombe Opetum of VOYAGE NA BANDUNDU, my all-time favourite OK JAZZ song. I would be grateful if you could kindly also post LIVE PERFORMANCES of the young and explosive bands LIPUA LIPUA, KIAM and SHAMA SHAMA at their peak in the 1970s and early 80s. Asante. Thanks, Shukrani. Ero Kamano.
Alex Owino actually, Voyage Na Bandundu is also my favorite of all-time. I’ve even been arguing with my girlfriend that it’s gonna be the song for our first dance at our dance, she wants to hear none of it😅. God bless you, my bro🙌🏿. & you’re right, I was worried why Abou hasn’t posted in such a long time. I’m glad he’s well
@@Masombwe_Lukalu I am sure Abou will come through in his own time - and post performances of Voyage Na Bandundu by Ndombe Pepe Opetum. As to matters beyond music do your best to build consensus and seek common middle ground(s) on your planned voyage through life together (which is also consistent with the spirit of Ndombe's song). Cheers. And over to you Abou.
Big big fan of TPOK Jazz and Le Grand Maitre here with over 30 albums bought to date. I struggle with Lingala, could anyone translate this wonderful Josky song for me ?? Gracious thanks
