All of West Africans used to feel that we were all one. That was the 1950s. We lived, played, and went to school together. In my town , Techiman, in the Brong Region of then Gold Coast, we attended school together with people from Yorubaland, Iboland, Burkina Faso (then called Upper Volta), Dahomey (now Benin), Mashie people from near Mali. Nigerian musicians played Gold Coast tunes like the ones in the play list here, and we never thought of them as not belonging to our land. Now we divide people as belonging, and not belonging. Sad, sad, sad! Music from other lands did not sound foreign. They were all loved as African music. I miss those days!
Haaaa.... Again and again!!! What can i say? These tracks are classics... I've replayed it almost ten times now... Haaa.... All hit tracks.... Bonsue to you Planetolusola
The one and only irreplaceable highlife wizard Sir Victor Olaiya. You live forever in our hearts and through your music. Peace eternal be upon your soul. Love and miss you always
Think Paradise Club Ibadan in the 60s and my jaiyejaiye aunts Nike Adepoju, Sade Alli, Kudi Akande, Sidi Aare and late Joke Sarumi on the dance floor with Kunle Olasope, Yomi Onabolu, late Dokun Famubode, Segun Adeaga, late Chief Niran Sowemimo etc. With Victor Olaiya or Roy Chicago playing. That would have been a riot of a night.
@@olusolaadebiyi65 Amen o. Women losing their minds in the presence of socialites like Kunle Olasope, Yomi Onabolu and Segun Awolowo on the dance floor lol. God rest their souls.

TAP MUSIC REVIEW: Listen to Victor Olaiya's music. It takes you across Africa and its diaspora with an unforgettable feeling all about years back home. Good listening as always!
Reminds me of my dear parents ( late), Ariel Garden Club and my little friends then while living in Zaria. Ariel Garden Club, almost opposite our house along Bauhi Street, Zaria with horn speakers attached to its facial boards made it easy for us to savour all latest releases then, even at that tender age. How time flies.
Reminds you of Nigerian post-independence, pre-civil war, British Pound currency, "what-I-have-is-sufficient-for-me" generation. Don't let them fool you:This is the oil revenue looters generation.
