It's a norm to always visit this page once in a while to reminisce on the old good days of Legendary Sir Warrior and the Oriental Brothers International Band.
Sir Warrior sang his soul out to a deaf world.....His songs are filled with Igbo idioms in Owerri Dialect....The very day i set my eyes on him 1988....I watched this man shout his soul to high heavens from night till the break of dawn....Where ever you are sir, may you find peace.....May your name be remembered with honor and glory
I could remember as a kid then .My uncle as early as 5am he wakes up to always play this track .And most times he will be crying .I am now an adult in far away Australia 🇦🇺 playing this track.
The first time I saw Sir Warrior was in 1994 at Hilman's fathers' buriel in Akpim, My village. Hilman invited him to play his music. I was in secondary school then, as village children, we all gathered around peeping to see him life. His handsomeness shocked me. I said to my self that when I grew up, I will find him and ask him to come and marry me without paying bride price... Just, let me be his wife and contemplate his beauty. Little do I know that God has something else in mind for me...taking me to Rome to be a rev. Sr. Today Dee king Hilman and Sir Warrior has gone to answer the Divine call. May God bless their souls and their families. Amen.
He is saying if do good you are doing it for yourself and if you do bad you are doing it to yourself. The second track Keep checking ooo, if you think what am doing in this world is not good enough for you, then you should bring the person that will do better.
Am originally from delta state but am proud and happy that I grew up in Imo state (mbaise) precisely,,, the land of love, peace and unity...everything about me is mbaise and am very proud....my unborn children will surely have a taste of that environment
kaya don’t say that again please. Am not from mbaise but despite all the negative things i have heard my self about mbaise yet they are still the best people you can come across with in imo
I'm a Yoruba man but I tell you Sir Warrior was one of my Fav ...his arrangements and percussions was off the chart .. I know basically most of his songs by heart ...RIP Legend
You must calculate, thank you Dr sir Worrior and the oriental brothers band for this music with this I will drive good morning Lagos good morning Owerri. Respect Dr sir worrior
Reminds me of when naija was good. Though a yoruba man from Lagos but I dare not listen to this in a day with my good friend keneth agwu. Men, I miss naija.

am FIRSTSON proudly an Igbo Biafran man ..this my father's best track He always play it early in the morning...with the radio 🔘 stalo..now am also playing it in replacement of my father...Sir you too much I love you
@Princess Royal, Dee Warriors life and song revolved around Owerri anyi. Yes, he used his local Mbaise dialect on this one. Good observation. Dr Sir Warrior enshrined Owerri anyi in the global musical map, long ago. May his soul and those of our dearly departed find eternal rest, Amen!
Although Mbaise and Owerri dialects are very close, this song is NOT in "typical Mbaise dialect". At the most, it's 70/30 Owerri/Mbaise. Very nice song from the legend, regardless.
Anytime I played this music, it makes me to remember my father, this is my father's best track and I played it for him 2 days before his death, rest in peace dad, rest in peace sir warrior
Dr. Sir Warrior nnem, all your music are soul renting to me anytime, anywhere. The whole world is missing you. May your soul rest in perfect peace - Amen.
I came here during the lockdown and could not find my way out. I got into a fresh lockdown with the music of Sir Warrior. The guy finished the job with excellence in the percussion instruments. To think that I don't even understand a word he speaks because I am not Igbo. The musical arrangement that gave rise to this rhythm is enough for me. Respect, Sir! True Legend.
WOW!! WOW!! WOW, This song, and the music simply sets one in a happy, joyful, radiant spirit. The complex poly-rhythms are attestation to African musical prowess. There are at least 4 percussion lines, a massive bass pounding, layered above are two eloquent rhythm guitars . The pause at 12 minutes where the traditional drums take front stage and reset the percussive control are purely African. Then at 17 minutes, the bridge and the whistles. After this, listen to Sona Jobarteh from Gambia and you see the musical connection that threads Africa's children east, west, north and south. God bless Africa's genius in its cultural diversity and historical unity. Listening from Lagos, March 1st 2019.
As a 20 years young man in Enyinba city, I used to spend a quarter of my travelling allowance for a ticket at Abassadores Hotel to Watch Oriental brothers perform. Sir warrior was Larger than life. He was High life and lived it. Never a dull moment. This is for the memory of my cousin , Cardinal Bontus ,
I miss Sir Warrior! The best I have had! I was so close to Sir Warrior's music when I was a youth; that it nearly became preferable to me than food. Adieu! the great philosopher and entertainer!
Word can not express how I feel listening to this music... To my late sister and father, tear in my eyes as I remember you beloved once... Rest in peace
You are real vocalist, you died with your glorious voice , and has left millions of loyal fans speechless, i am playing your music to my children so this legacy will ever live. may your gentel soul rest in perfect peace .The only Dr of musicoloy and vocalcology who can wake up and sing without written notes .... adios Dr Sir warrior
I saw sir warrior and oriental Brothers band in 1976 in central school no 1 Atta Njaba LGA. I was only 12 years old by then! Mgbé élú wụ àlà ọcha. Gị nyėm ugwum is my best among the best of his albums. May his soul rest In peace. Adieu l'artiste !!! Que Dieu t'accorde le repos bien mérité dans son royaume, amen.
Music with nice beat and great meaning. It's really painful that all over Igbo land, there is no status of these legends.R.I.P chief.Dr.Sir warrior.Am proud to be an igbo!!!
Great igbo, great music. This is moral, encouraging, language of companion, advising food for thought. we are missing undiluted music. when music conveys morality and religion mainly to effect peace and harmony in the society. today music is for money, nobody care the kind of information it conveys.
If you do good, you did it for yourself ,if you do bad,you did it for yourself too, what ever you did and ppl complains that you didn't done it well, let them bring someone that will do it better, that's the meaning
The Sony said that he who does evil did it unto himself likewise the evil person committed it against himself, reason is because his conscience will tell him and will not be at peace with him. That for himself, he didn't hurt anyone neither did sabotage any for he knows that a man shall be judged base on his actions (deeds) in the flesh. He said that those who claimed that he does not know how to do or handle certain things should go ahead and showcase his own expertise in the field. These are the key words in his music.
How will anybody defind oriental brother music, without not adding Dr sir warrior, he was the main key of that group. Very nice song, HIGH life is still the best. RIP sir warrior, your music and voice will live forever, after your death , your voice never dies. Even if I don't understand what you are saying, but your voice speak well in my mind. You are legend to Ibo song that will never and should be remembered by the Eastern people.
My Dad and Sir Warrior were friends and my dad would have been part of their band if not for the way parents looked at musicians back then...his dad never supported it even though my dad was as excellent vocalist. My fondest memories of my parents and my dad in particular is him listening to sir warrior and singing along..... especially "Akwa Yes"...
I feel like I was a Biafraian in my past life. I cannot stop listening to Igbo music. They kind of melt my heart. Thanks for posting, dear lysergical1 .
