I had the exact same R1, and I also have an HP4 Competition. I owned both of them in the same time at one point so it was weird to see both same bikes together in this video.
Very nice!! Yea it’s an awesome year for sure. Motor is definitely healthy for sure. Just gotta get the bugs worked out. I think I’m gonna keep this one
@@mrinjen9519 that’s awesome! You’re very lucky to be getting such a low milage/ good condition bike. Take care of it and it will last a long time. Try to avoid 2nd gear clutch ups if possible as 2nd gear gets weak over time from people doing them. I’d personally change the oil and filter. I’d use ansoil metric 10/40 and a oem filter
I’ll probably use some more 60 to get it down some more but the majority of the big ones are out. Then I’ll go up the grits. Unfortunately I’m having health issues right now with my foot and I’m gonna be bed ridden for the next 10 days it looks like. Using crutches to go to the bathroom is not fun and it’s killing me not being able to work on the bike
@@ctadrenaline I’m 2 weeks off crutches and was on them over 2 months I couldn’t even use my right leg whatsoever so using the bathroom was a freaking nightmare. I didn’t even bother for #1 cause I just couldn’t do it on 1 leg so used a milk jug. lol god I’m so glad to be on my feet again.

I’m probably calling it way too soon with 10 days but I hope it’s not too much longer than that. Hopefully if I stay off my right foot completely it will heal faster. We’ll see what happens. I got 2 videos I gotta upload in my phone so hopefully that holds me over till im healed. I couldn’t imagine 2 months

i’m about to get one of these r1s from my dads friend. it is in amazing condition tho with only 10k miles with great maintenance. i’m very excited

So you said you was done with 60 grit and there’s still some deep scratches there. Do you plan to fill those ones I suppose?
