I think it would be cool to go back to this tree house every year to see if the 4 trees grow around the house or how long it lasts. But be careful on the stairs. Those usually give way first! I enjoyed this video. 😀

Warm feelings, Hello again my friend. This is the third video of your's I have watched now and this one really brings back memories for me as myself and a Kenny, my best friend then, when I was about 9 or 10 years old, built a similar 'log fort', thats what we called them, in the woods behind my home back in Nova Scotia, Canada. Our's was built in a single tree that had multiple branches, similar to the tree you built the 'Bird Nest' in your video I first watched 3 days ago. We would camp out in it on the weekends and through the summer vacation we practically lived in it other than going to my house to get food, usually canned foods, most often canned peas and canned salmon, sometimes canned potato. We had an old camping water cooler jug that held whatever you wanted to drink in it. We would make powdered Orange Juice and bring it with us to the fort when we would stay overnight. The one big difference between your tree fort is that we used an 8ft x 4ft piece of plywood for the floor, and the roof was of lengths of board that were about 6inx7ft, the base was logs as well as the walls but we had the logs on the walls standing upright instead from side to side. We built 2 bunk beds, a small table attached to the wall with hinges we found in our tool shed at my house, and 2 wooden kids chairs. Flashlights was our night time lighting, we had an assortment of flashlights that we used to charge the batteries for at my place. We found some thin foam mattresses somewhere that were clean and put those on the bunk beds and would put our sleeping bags on top of to sleep. Playing cards, planning what would do the next day, riding our bikes all over the neighbourhood, going fishing at the lake nearby, I was terrible at fishing, Kenny was incredible at catching fish, usually lake trout, most times we just threw them back in the lake after taking them off the hook so they could continue about their lives, sometimes we would cook them at my house and take them to the fort to eat that night. Man, that's about 43 years ago. Haven't seen Kenny for many years. That reminds me, what's your name? I'm Matt. I have some other bushcraft friends here on TH-cam in other countries and I greatly enjoy messaging back and forth. One friend is BUSHCRAFT GR in Greece, you would probably enjoy his videos. He's very much an outdoorsman. Well, Thank You for another great video. I look forward to watching more of them. Keep Safe and Much Love to Ukraine, it's very wrong what has happened. Matt, my name is Mykhailo. I am torn by your comment. I am very glad that my video brought back warm memories from your childhood. As a child, my friend and I also built many huts of various shapes and purposes, and we felt happy. Now, making these videos, I also feel happy and unburdened, just like when I was a child. Sometimes it is very difficult, but the emotions you get from the completion of construction are difficult to describe. I'm glad that so many people like what I do. It inspires someone to just leave the house, someone plunges into warm nostalgia, and that's great! Thank you Matt, see you soon! My little dream is to visit the wilds of Canada one day!
@@PolissyaBushcraft Hey Mykhailo, Cool name. Is that the Ukraine version of Michael? I totally understand feeling unburdened when you revisit the simple things from being a child and feel that sense of being a kid again, that's been my goal my entire life. Being a kid is a very special time in everyones lives and too many forget what it was like to be completely open minded with a free heart that could wander anywhere. Most of my adult life has been chasing that feeling in everything I have done up until the last 13 years which is when I got serious about being an adult, but now realize that was a mistake and am constantly fighting the kid in me from bursting out and going on a hilarious and happy rampage of fun. About visiting the wilds of Canada one day. DO IT. Never put off today what you wanted to do last year. I might not be here when you do as I'm planning a big move with my wife where I will be moving out of Canada very soon and going to a country I never had thought of going to until a few years ago, Dubai. We are both going to move there to work and take care of my wife's family, (my InLaws) in the Philippines. Also so we can be together as a couple. But hey, maybe on one of our Canada visits you and me can coordinate and come to Canada all at the same time and meet up. I could show you some of Canada? Oh and Mykhail, Dakuyayu my friend. I LOVED THIS , now no matter where you came from you could actually have your own house, a mud stove and a mud fireplace underneath the ground to hide and keep your family safe or just a little house like this is this is perfect!, You don’t need to move you just need to hunt and fish
I like it. 2 changes I would have liked, extended wood past the tree for a deck over the water. And would have enclosed bottom portion, put door at ground level, where stairs are. Then accessed from below with a ladder and trap door. That way you could possibly have more storage below. I didn't see you nail the wood down between trees and a little worried if a heavy wind comes around will dislodge some walls.
Yes, all that would've been even more spectacular. Only, he probably could've made it at least a 2 story treehouse, or a 3 story treehouse with the penthouse suite at the top.

While you constructed a nice tree house, in the future never ever build in multiple trees. Their individual movement during wind and storm will eventually rip that structure out of the tree. Pick one solid tree and build the entire structure in that one tree. Then when the wind blows or a storm comes up the tree house moves securely with that one tree and stays solid with that tree. Just my humble opinion...
How is he keeping the rain off the camera? Ooo the drama! This one might be my favorite though, little log cabin up in the trees. I was watching archeology documentaries which are generally calm, but once in a while archaeologists get a little tense and excited. I'm very much enjoying all these earthy sounds. could also be his own forest. In some countries the laws are not so strict and you can build such housing there. Here in Germany that would be impossible, because we don't have much forest left and we need strict laws to keep the rest of it in good condition
