As a igknight main command knight is a requirement and my boss monster is ultimate baseball kid(lv 3, fire/warrior, 500 atk mon that gains 1000 atk for every fire mon on your field) you can then burn a mon to deal 500 damage to your opponent.
Fun fact : In OCG their monster's original names are based from different type of guns like Magnum, Uzi, (Desert)Eagle, even a friggin Stinger launcher.
Now THIS Archetype is one of the only reasons why I don't COMPLETELY hate Pendulums: they give Normal Monsters a chance to be good while not themselves having effects.
This archetype need the "broken link 1 tm" to fix all its issues With master rule 4 the deck lost all its spark Maybe a link 1 that says "you can pendulum summon igknight monsters from your face up extra deck to any of your main monster zones while this card remains face up in the extra monster zone"
honestly, first link 1 to have multiple arrows would be cool (2-3 downward). It could have no effect to make up for it. If it were an effect monster, something non-once per turn to go along with the non-opt effect of the igknights would be thematic; bonus points if it doesn't activate. I think you could make it go second by doing this (after some tinkering): "Igknight Recruiter" ATT/ 0 Link-1 (some downward arrow) 1 non-effect "Igknight" monster Place counters on this card equal to the level of the monster used as link material. If a card(s) you control would be destroyed, you can remove one counter from this card in the extra monster zone instead of destroying one of those cards, then, you can destroy one card your opponent controls. Not sure if this doesn't activate, but I tried to copy the wording of cards that apply their effects instead of activate. This effect was the easiest way I could think of that would help offset going minus, but I'm sure you can get more creative. Ofc, a suite of link monsters of different ratings that say "you can special summon one igknight monster from your extra deck to your zone this card points to" would also be thematic in terms of having the same effect multiple times.
@@liviousgameplay1755a link 1 with multiple arrows completely disregards the whole idea of what a link monster's arrows are. Aren't they supposed to be each monster used in the summon? And the reason you can use a Link 2 as 2 material for a Link 3+ monster that it has 2 monster's worth of energy in it?
One thing I love more than the way the cards/deck is supposed to play is the theme of it all. We recently got a look at the Centurians, which is essentially Gurren Lagann. And the Igknights seem to be a fire-themed, bumbling super sentai team who have a terrible habit of blowing themselves up in a comical fashion. Win or lose, I'd love playing with these cards
And, of course, since they're normal monsters that (kinda) swarm, you can sacrifice them for Tyrant's Throes, which in this deck is sort of a one-sided Vanity's.
Nova, I understand that Igknights were part of a historical event recently, but considering the recent Majespecter support, it probably would have been wise to wait to make this video
Now would be a good time to mention I have used igknights in Infernoble Magikey. They get me to Isolde, then I can pend them back, and finally pop them to search Bradamante!
People paid attention! I kept dropping the name! They have uses I still don't see many use where they can. They are engines for XYZ summons that no other can do in house. The only bit they lack beyond some negates would be a way to get the ED monsters back to hand. There is a link monster that can work well: Gransolfachord Musecia. The deck builder in Duel Links has Zubaba General in the ED. Brilliant play!! Pop the pends for Champion or Lancer and equip to General for 4500+ to answer to.
WOW. The editing really gives this video replay value. I usually just hear it like a radio / podcast, but now I have reasons to pay attention to the visuals
Burning Draw is always a good card to include in any Fire deck. Sure, it Fire licks you, but you can still play the deck, since you are pretty much playing with Fire cards.
This archetype is just a one or two card release away from being a hilariously effective ritual support deck, one fire warrior or link that uses normal monsters with an effect that can search a ritual spell gets you high/advanced ritual art and plenty of normal monsters to tribute and even better if they get a link monster that easily recycles them from grave and extra deck.
If igknights ever got support i would rather it be a synchro that doesnt need tuners, like harpies, with a effect that reloads destroyed pendulums into the hand for more material for the "shooting eachother to win" pendulums. And pendulum normal monsters support in general, they deserve better
I have to give Igknights credit for being in-art and on-theme to one of my favorite goofball cards: Oops! (Normal Trap, targets and destroys a card you control.)
Just wanna say, you miss-accounted for the fact Champion and Lancer do not target the card they are placing back, just the Igknight they are returning to hand, so aside of unaffected cards or cards that make themselves go to the GY anyways, they will always be an option for removal. But yes, they generally aren't played simply because there isn't a need to run them when you can go balls to the wall as a combo/ftk deck. Not bad cards, just not useful in the situations Igknights find themselves in. This Archetype was also sadly the second biggest casualty of MR4 for pendulum's as it's entire gimmick got shafted, and the only deck I could rank worse off is Amorphage, whose only claim to fame was being floodgates, not pendulums, and didn't really even function as a deck anyways. Dinomist had Charge to recur to hand, and Majespecter could atleast try to shut your opponent down with a variety of interruption while also having a good amount of search, all Igknights got was consistency and a crap ton of some of the most powerful non-targeting removal in the game, at a steep investment. It also seems Konami was aware of the fact Igknights got scrapped in particular, because both Bad Aim and OOPS feature Igknights, and both are quite bad cards that felt more like jabs at the deck as opposed to meme references. It's also funny to note that the deck also didn't have a great time accessing Electrumite on it's own grounds and needed outside help, and until Ignis, quite literally could not make use of Beyond the Pendulum on it's own accord. The greatest saving grace is that Ash sucks against this deck, and Infernoble/Isolde just exist in the way they are.
i use these guys in my shitpost exodia deck all the normal igknights, 2 reloads, 2 Heart of the Underdog, some misc high defense normal monsters, and exodia. in my extra deck i have a couple copies of Grandsolphachord Coolia for actual offense if i can't get an Underdog quickly. i also have slypher in there.
4:50 either this script is quite old or there is something i am missunderstanding. Arent we already on MR5? MR4 is over for quite a bit of time already
Who here thinks Bakugo from My Hero Academia would run these as his deck? They might not have so many expletives, but I think they fit. Wait, Champion targets!?
Our team’s main goal is to blow up and act like we don’t know no one! Also, if anyone knows the name of the song used in the background during the archetype explain, I would appreciate it. I’ve been jamming to that song ever since I heard it on the Patreon release.
Ah, it's actually stock music. I tend to only use stock if possible because it avoids copyright disputes wholesale. Never know when YT could change how they do content ID.

I just wanted to point out the boss monsters only target YOUR cards. Their removal effect are non-targeting.

Yeah. I hated the change, but you know.
At least they used knight adjacent names

Well they did give Genex a ridiculous link-1 albeit you play only genex so I can see Igknight kinda working with that too.
? Just play Ignoble/Isolde OR Metalfoes and ignore MR4 with a 3 arrow link or something.

The orignal tallyho lore deck
Beyond the pendulum needs effect monsters so you can't really make it in igknights all too well
They don't blow themselves up. They blow eachother up.
Very different. lol
Not sure Cavalier knows the difference 😅

Considering how sick it was that a guy used igknights for a Exodia combo I'd say my interest in the deck is peaked.
Jeff literally joined in the game due to his son.
He PLAYED THE GAME. BECAUSE OF HIS SON.
He is literally the yugi boomer to all yugi boomers.
And he’s still better than all of us lmao
gotta say, the editing here is immaculate

First of the Dragons is another good tech pick for Igknights
