okay so I've actually had some decent success with this deck. Admittedly before the AGOV support, but frankly the AGOV support is just a very specific OTK line that we didn't need because Liebe exists. They could've at least let its name become Crystal God while on the field so as to make it easier to use Demigod, that would've done way more for the deck. I topped a tournament by splashing this with Raidraptor Lunalights of all things. Set Serenade Dance or Perfume, pop it with Sentinel and you get both engines firing at the same time, and with the way the Wise Strix line generates so many monsters on field, you have plenty of tribute fodder for Crystal God with enough left over for some Apollousa and CDI shenanigans. Also Eldlich works great with Tistina. Sentinel sending set Eldlich cards to grave for their search effects, while Eldlich itself provides another body for either tributing or overlaying for a train.
I know this deck isnt good, but I hightly recommend trying it out. Its really cheap and having a 1-card combo into OTK is really funny. I tested it at my locals multiple times already and its funny when your opponent suddenly realizes he lost :D
I looked at Tainted and thought "Oh. So it taints the monster it flipped face-down to emerge. Which is why it's 'tainted'." I wasn't thinking of… That weird, though admittedly humorous tangent.
Tainted of the Tistina is just because it's in the midst of corrupting the opponent's monster you tributed. IIt's in that middle phase where it's tainted from both points of view. Not assimilated enough for the Tistina. And slowly losing itself for the opponent.
So the "Tistina Engine" one could possibly throw into icejades is the OTK combo, right? 1x Fallen, Sentinel, Tainted, Crystal God, Divinity, Domain, and Breath, yea?
Given how the next core set tcg exclusive is being hyped as a pyro archetype, I wonder if maybe it could be in opposition to the Tistina in both lore and mechanics
I’ve been listening to the video for a few minutes and can only think “Damn this sounds eerily familiar. What is the theme in the background?” MFW I remembered this is the Crystal Temple theme from Bravely Default, stupidly fitting. Well played.
While I tried my damnedest to make the arch itself playable, I was very impressed by its lore. In fact, I even used the archetype itself as the basis for a whole story arc in a completely different roleplay server with some…equally interesting results! It’s a shame its hype-as-fuck lore failed to convert in playability.
It's an otk archetype. A very poor one since most of the pieces don't extend on top of creating the conditions, but one allows a monster to attack directly if the opponent has face-down defense position monsters (the ghostrick clause if you will) and another gives a monster 2 attacks in exchange for only letting 1 monster attack this turn. Pair that with the xyz that can double its attack to 4k and unless the opponent has a cheeky set that isn't removed by god into xyz that's gg
This deck works very well with Tearlaments monsters, but the end boards seems lacking and you'll be kinda passive during ur opponent's turn, For me Labrynth is way better
Someone pl3ase explain to me why an entire archetype would be exclusive to TCG? I mean Kinami, a Japanese company, doesnt want a product they make to be played in their home region (I think Japan plays only OCG RIGHT?))) I also dont know why the whole OCG vs TCG exists as a whole
I think aside from it's boss artwork....this is a bad archetype. It's just so scattered and unfocused, and SO limited in 1 strategy that other archetypes can run circles around it.
I hate this archetype. It’s weak as hell especially as a follow up from gold pride and it’s aesthetic is just adamancipators without any of the flair and it feels all over the place with the names coinciding with the lore
another discontinued custom cards that got approved tcg. tcg sure makes weird custom cards and discontinue it and make a different archetype with complicated broken effects
It had the makings of a decent control deck on initial release, combining the effects of Crystal God and Demigod to force the opponent to keep their entire field facedown, with Sentinel and Hound being repeatable combo extension if need be. Their main problem was their reliance on Crystal God to do anything, but they showed initial promise. Then the AGOV support released and it... went in a completely different direction which solved none of the problems it had, that basically ignored their potential as a control deck and geared towards a very specific OTK line that requires your opponent to have a very specific field setup, which not only fails to play through any interuption the opponent might have, but was never necessary because for the same or less effort you can just make Juggernaught Liebe for largely the same result. The hate they get is still undeserved though and the deck can still make some fun and interesting plays.
This deck is the last push that got me out Yugi. Really hyped at first, good mechanic and at first it seemed a semi-control/aggro deck with a mechanic to disrupt boards but... Let's say that i'm collecting and out of yugi thanks to another joke of konami to TCG players

This is what I thought aswell
So the "Tistina Engine" one could possibly throw into icejades is the OTK combo, right? 1x Fallen, Sentinel, Tainted, Crystal God, Divinity, Domain, and Breath, yea?
You're adding 2 card combos and a brick boss monster to a deck that can already just run generic water support.
@@ThatOneWeirdFlex yes, and I have fun with it
I think it is part from the Fallen of albaz lore not because of the fallen tistina it is because of the Black ICE (the same from the icejades)
Given how the next core set tcg exclusive is being hyped as a pyro archetype, I wonder if maybe it could be in opposition to the Tistina in both lore and mechanics
So what where as tistina is an encroaching corruption on others this pyro archetype will be a purifying fire that cleanses the corruption
I mean i don't think the xrystal rot is that, as so far it seems it doesn't take away your free will but rather grants you immortality
Tistina are actually not even bad, the main issue is going first and consistency.
4:51 if you flipped greedily and deep you would have gone full Saruman.
Don't care if it sucks, the art is pretty nd I love beautiful body horror. I've already made a deck.
Considering the field spell has the words divine domain in it, can you call out Domain Expansion when playing it?
Glory to the rock gods!
Naw these are discount rocks 😂
This deck needs more Pizza Rolls.
This needs more support, we can't let another Level/Rank 10 deck fall behind!
Hm. Maybe with Ninja? They have some get-opponents-facedown stuff.
Become as Crystal.
What if you run ojama trip with it?
This deck works very well with Tearlaments monsters, but the end boards seems lacking and you'll be kinda passive during ur opponent's turn, For me Labrynth is way better
I wanna play these and i still dont get them
TCG purposely make a "bad" deck. Then, OCG can fix it when it released there.
Complicated is a nice way of saying garbage
One of the cooler looking archetypes in the franchise RUINED BY THE TCG AGAIN
DAMN YOU
Face down cards = darkness?
Tistina has too many similarities to ORT from Fate.
A less broken ORT, thankfully.
The real ORT basically is a walking Kashtira deck.
@@neves783001 Oh dear god no. The thing I hate about what you said is that you're not wrong.
Someone pl3ase explain to me why an entire archetype would be exclusive to TCG? I mean Kinami, a Japanese company, doesnt want a product they make to be played in their home region (I think Japan plays only OCG RIGHT?)))
I also dont know why the whole OCG vs TCG exists as a whole
I think aside from it's boss artwork....this is a bad archetype. It's just so scattered and unfocused, and SO limited in 1 strategy that other archetypes can run circles around it.
Day 3 of asking for aromage explained
Whole deck is like $15 though.
Hoping they’ll they’ll be Adamaninciptor support? Glad they flop😂
I hate this archetype. It’s weak as hell especially as a follow up from gold pride and it’s aesthetic is just adamancipators without any of the flair and it feels all over the place with the names coinciding with the lore
So is this just not worth investing any thought to? I love the flavor of cosmic crystal horrors but the practicality is a letdown.
Building their deck. Was suprised how little Aqua type support there is out there
there is even less generic WIND support.
@@bakabunny788 oh interesting. as for Aqua i was mainly suprised because there is ton of water support
another discontinued custom cards that got approved tcg. tcg sure makes weird custom cards and discontinue it and make a different archetype with complicated broken effects
I'll be honest I don't get what so bad about this deck. All the explanations I've heard are just blabbering buzz words. It looks alright to me.
First, also love your stuff
Guys FREE PALESTINE 🇵🇸
This strategy is so boring.
This deck is the last push that got me out Yugi. Really hyped at first, good mechanic and at first it seemed a semi-control/aggro deck with a mechanic to disrupt boards but...
Let's say that i'm collecting and out of yugi thanks to another joke of konami to TCG players
