GIANT Mid Season Changes Are Coming To Multiversus

- So Player first games was not kidding-around with how massive this mid-season patch is going to be. It’s basically the REAL full launch of multiversus and in my humble opinion, from everything i’ve heard thus far it’s a strong step in the right direction! Let's discuss everything Multiversus has changed for this mid-season shakeup!

I feel like next season will be a huge swing in a good direction. I’m just asking for one thing please give us a reliable way to get fighter currency. I truly enjoy the game I want it to succeed. also interestingly we have ways of getting epic skins from the beta for free with the end of the seasons main reward being seal team Rick. I’ve said this a couple times but this game has limitless potential with just wb lineup but also possibilities of third party characters. This game could be a game where you can have agent smith vs Sheldon copper vs Eric cartman vs Ben 10 or any other insane crossovers. I don’t want it to die before it truly takes off.
I'm glad you're more optimistic than I am. As a rule of thumb, I always prefer buffs over nerfs. While characters like Bugs or WW needed some tuning, I don't have a lot of faith that they found the "cancer" in overperforming characters. Obviously, it's all speculation until we get the full patch notes, but if they were buffing characters, I think they would have led with that.
As long as we remain cordial and continue to provide constructively, I know PFG will keep steering this ship in the right direction. QoL changes like changing the input buffer or removing colors should be praised. The economy is still my #1 issue, I hold my toasts like they are bars of gold as I only get 5 per day, I still can't even spend my fighter currency because I have character tickets and those daily deals that take 5 gleamium of a sticker is genuinely insulting. Hopefully, bros like Jason and Velma fight their place in the meta, and WW and Joker don't get gutted in a pendulum swing of overcorrection.
@@admiralalyssa totally agree with the "cancer"/killer instinct comparison (thanks so much for bringing that up I put a ton of work into that for the previous video XD) for this one I'm remaining optimistic and hopeful as the way the discord stage was presented showed to me the devs are getting much better at pinpointing what made characters broken without taking away too much of what makes them fun. When the full patch notes release I'll bundle them in my next video covering the multiversus saga but for now I think it's good steps. Next is the continued pressure on the monetization and most importantly I'll be discussing why I think the rift mode needs heavy tuning for future seasons!

@YungFalconGG Weird, but yeah, I've only played the new patch for a few hours, but I'm done. I had literally zero fun playing new Joker. I don't know who they are trying to appeal to with this game anymore. I understand having heavy whiff punishes in a traditional 1v1 FG, but my time with Joker was horrible. As a 2s-only player, there has to be a little leeway as I jump cross-map to break my ally out of hit stun, and missing a single jab, leaving me stun-locked, is wild
It feels like PFG gave up completely on the 2s format. I don't mind slow combat, but janky & slow combat is a pass from me. I've been scrolling through Reddit and other comments sections, and it's the worst outcome. Pure apathy. A big patch like this in any other game would spark hype and discussions, but no one seems to care. Jason is broken. The infinite battle pass is broken. Patch? What patch, who cares? I truly hope PFG saves this sinking ship, but I am getting more pessimistic about those odds.

@admiralalyssa exactly what I just ranted about to my partner (who was my joker duo) and the exact complaints I had last video. Why tf are the forcing 1s on us. You can't advertise your game as a teams game and then balance it exclusively around 1s especially with how they hit wonder woman. Half of those changes were not needed hell I don't even think she need the cool down nerfs I truly think that you just needed to tone down her kill power and adjust her armor health points and boom she's balanced around both modes cure the tumor not the symptoms surrounding it. It's Insane not to mention the fact that these "massive changes" were not that big!?!? They're acting like adding back spectator mode and giving us stuff back from beta is a big change?! Like what do they want a cookie for "big changes" because Jason finally works!?!? Oh wait he's removed from the game... The one time I go out to bat for this game and this is how they do us as consumers. Sorry for the ramble/rant the video will be up sometime this weekend as I have work obligations ATM but darn what was pfg on...
@YungFalconGG As a WW, Joker, and Jason main, you are preaching to the choir. I played a little more because a buddy asked me to run duos, and she felt janky, too. They cut her armor like she isn't a tank... smh. Anywho thanks for replying and ranting I look forward to your next video!

What about the missing stuff from beta that they took from me and now want money to get them back. Had 16 character maxed and lost tons of costumes and emotes and more. Please help

@@YungFalcon I've done that 3 times and they dont reply only a automated message. There are many more who have same issue, on reddit. U have platform maybe a video on this topic will get them to hear the players. Thanks

This patch is terrible they didnt adress the number 1 feedback (even on their own general feedback post on reddit).
The game is still slow and will keep the underwater pacing. They should have at least adressed this.
As long as we dont get a speedup patch I wont be playing.

Speed isn’t a valid complaint as it’s purely subjective. Some players prefer faster gameplay some prefer slower. If the slower pace isn’t for you then just don’t play but i’m glad they’re not listening to the vocal minority on this one.
@@peterkefalos7430 It was the majority of the playerbase. They already lost 80% of the players with the thing that was stated the most as feedback the slow gameplay. There is a survivor bias with the remaining players.
And its also the feedback of almost all of the professional players.
nah don't say the complaint isn't valid. Everyone is entitle to their own thoughts, while sure some like myself adjusted to the slower speed. it's completely unfair to the crowd that was essentially bait and switched on the speed by release. I still think the game would benefit from a slight speed increase
@@peterkefalos7430the one thing it had over smash was it’s turbo like speed. Now it feels like every character is ganondorf. That and the horrible micro-transactions (3k gleam for certain skins, 500 per emote etc) sadly killed this game.
