I definitely agree that Jason's kill potential is ridiculous, but it's kinda hard to get in there against certain matchups (basically against all mages). If the enemy player has a brain, it can make the match challenging, which makes my wins more rewarding. If I wanted to win with 0 effort, I would just main BananaGuard or WonderWoman.
Jason is combo good to batman. every Jason I fight pretty much just jumps off the stage after getting combo's over and over. he's super slow so getting close to opponents is difficult unless he has tha perk that teleport behind you, and down air special. other than that he's getting merked by anyone with a brain
With Jason it’s just a waiting game cause you have to wait for the enemy to mess up in order for you to do anything. His moves are too slow and too inconsistent for you to go aggro
As a Marvin main, I agree with your assessment. Kill confirms are a struggle without hard reads and set ups. Even then, it’s hardly enough when you’re playing a game where people can kill you with up airs at 40%. Despite all that, he’s still fun to play.

I’m still infuriated by the fact that my machete model will literally HIT them and still nothing happens. If they fixed that those matches would’ve gone a different way.
Everything 100% accurate aside from your new Finn take. Finn takes quite a lot of skill in the air (unless you spam backpack), but his ground moves can be done by a toddler. It also takes a load of skill to play multi-platform maps like Tree Fort because Finn is a horizontal-based character
I’ve played against a fair amount of Finns and I can say 90% of them spammed the stupid ass backpack move. As a Jason main this attack infuriates me, as I literally dodge out of it and it still hits me somehow.
If we were talking about the Beta version of Stripe, he'd be singing a different tune because the gun at that time gave Stripe some mindless ladder combos. This is coming from a Stripe main. I do miss the perk that transfers Stripe's debuffs to the enemy he hits with his up special a bit though.
i cant agree with marvin, everyone i fought that used him pretty much stand in the corner spamming all his projectiles over and over and when i her close they'll just launch me and go back to spamming
look at actual high level marvin play bro. Even if the marvin your fighting is spamming projectiles they all go on cooldown quickly. if you cant deal with projectiles then you need to find new ways to approach or play a character like steven or gizmo that can deal with projectiles easily

I killed a black adam by doing jab jab mist step and immediately jabbing again while coming out of it to cancel the animation and doing the first part all over again 3 times, the third mist step killing him
Chainsaw is his only broken move. Stripe's explode move is balanced in that it hurts you every time you use it and rarely kills but does set you up for a kill sometimes. The pistol is on a long cooldown if you want the full kill potential and your timing has to be good if you're playing co-op.
Ngl I feel like at least in doubles, Steven takes no skill. In ones he probably takes more skill but he still just does falling nair + the bomb thing over and over again. Also free the giant
I just tried The Rock because he's free this week. He's so broken in duos. At first I tried to play him properly then I was like "Can I just spam my air neutral, yes I can, oh can I just spam my projectile? Yes, I can. My upattack? Yes I can, and it's really funny. You can literally spam down attack all game as long as your teammate is fighting both of them. You just keep knocking them up and your team mate stun locks them. If they had the bots play The Rock I don't think people would be able to tell there's bots in this game.

i feel like gizmo isnt the hardest character but doesnt take no skill to play. after the patch the arrow doesnt reload and the car is harder to hit bc of the reduced explosion time, and people can just run away from it. and sometimes the arrows are hard to hit bc of the range and speed of the arrow.

Marvin is NOT bad, i play a solid bugs and got COMPLETELY countered by a marvin in 1s the other day. His combo game is ridiculous and he can lay on projectile pressure and all his projectiles beat mine in 1 hit, and probably has one of the easiest dair kills off stage ive seen yet. A good marvin is fking broken
As Shaggy Main, it is possible to dodge and weave his side special kick with his super boost. You just need to time it perfectly, ive dodged it myself. A Shaggy using a boosted side special will not work unless its apart of a combo against high level players. Other than that I mostly agree
I was a Tom main during beta I don’t main them anymore cause their moves feel slower and somewhat delayed for me I will say they do take skill and you really gotta work

Joker i would argue gets too much credit in the no skill require department. I even almost managed to beat a better Joker main than myself. Purely through knowing how to counter Joker. A skilled player can make him an unholy monster. Buuuut just the same. A NON skilled player will be most likely stuggling to use him at first and it can be noticable. He has high end lag on a few moves that leave him ripe for punishing and if you know all of them. RPG,Joybuzzer etc. You can absolutely punish him very effectively. I would say he takes skill both to counter AND to play around his own weak spots. I have done a few crazy combos that you don't really see anyone use. Purely by thinking outside the box. Heck. I have even seen some crazy good Jason mains who managed to outplay me a few times despite his slow speed.
Bro superman got armor on all his moves, just doesn't die and kills early. All his moves have incredible hit boxes and so much more. He requires little to zero brain activity.

Also, many top players are saying he needs to get buffed. So once again, if playing him guaranteed easy wins you would run in to him a lot more online.

jason totally takes atleast a little skill when it comes to timing your attacks against a real player the big ass hitbox doesnt help either because its insanely easy to get edge guarded or combo'd into oblivion

Garnett takes ALOT of skill tf lol. Her "combo" is slow and locks u into a animation. Her moves are way slower and unless u charge to level one and get speed boost youll barely get in against top players without doin the damage other bruisers do
Im sorry, i can't respect your opinion on a lot of this, straight up leaving out info about a character to place them in whatever bracket you want. You said "jason isnt skill based" and "if you're good at the game you're not using him because he'll hold you back". Does that mean he's just trash? Cause as someone who actually plays him, I know he's slower and more difficult to use. You cant just throw things out hoping for the best because you'll get punished for just throwing out a simple forward attack. His hitboxes don't line up. He doesn't have the best options in neutral. As he is now, he takes a lot of skill to be good with. Skill I quite frankly don't have in this genre. (So i switched to someone with better/faster options) Banana guard is an easy character but you still need some sort of brains to play him. You can have absolutely no idea how to combo with him as long as you can read how they'll recover. Everyones acting like hes the best character when in reality he just has good options in neutral. I haven't found any infinites (if he even has any). Everything is dodgeable, even his multi-hitting attacks. Dodge behind my forward attack and get a free punish since i cant turn around like some characters. His down specials are garbage, anyone with a brain isn't gonna get hit by it in singles. Grounded down attack doesn't have the range to constitute it being so slow. That nerf to his damage makes his grounded forward special more punishable on hit. If he hits the opponent at low damage, they recover faster than me and i get hit (unless there's someway to cancel it im unaware of). And with reduced damage it takes at least one extra hit before they get knocked back far enough to not be able to punish you, so you cant just throw it out whenever. You listed basically everyone as skill less, you should probably change your metric for deciding if a character takes skill or not. The whole game is easy to operate, it would stand to reason that the characters in that game will be easy too. A character taking skill in this game isn't the same as a character taking skill in another game. I guess I'm just curious as to what you're comparing them to.

Her hammer is so easy to use and is very forgiving. She is easily a top 5 character in the game. There is a reason why her, Joker and wonder woman get picked so much in pro play
@Thim01 her combo game is incredibly good, but her combo starters are easily avoided. She'll only get worse as the meta progresses because her combos won't matter if she can't get an opening. The game is still early. Not everyone has the spacing down on most of their moves, and there's a lot of whiffs. Harley basically capitalizes off of whiff punishes. Her Nair is a little busted I will admit that, but it's one of her only good hitboxes.

I disagree with you on gizmo. To play him you have to know how to do combos and keep them steady because gizmo is very light and a mistake that leads to suffer a strong attack will throw him very far away, putting you in a critical situation

I even almost managed to beat a better Joker main than myself. Purely through knowing how to counter Joker.
A skilled player can make him an unholy monster. Buuuut just the same. A NON skilled player will be most likely stuggling to use him at first and it can be noticable.
He has high end lag on a few moves that leave him ripe for punishing and if you know all of them. RPG,Joybuzzer etc. You can absolutely punish him very effectively.
I would say he takes skill both to counter AND to play around his own weak spots.
I have done a few crazy combos that you don't really see anyone use. Purely by thinking outside the box.
Heck. I have even seen some crazy good Jason mains who managed to outplay me a few times despite his slow speed.

Bro superman got armor on all his moves, just doesn't die and kills early. All his moves have incredible hit boxes and so much more. He requires little to zero brain activity.
@@Galaxy-jy9wl He's a tank so obviously he's not suppose to die at 90. His armored moves are almost all stationary and punishable, and he has some of the stubbiest hit boxes in the game. Also, many top players are saying he needs to get buffed. So once again, if playing him guaranteed easy wins you would run in to him a lot more online.

@@Galaxy-jy9wl i'm a superman main and he's maybe like the 6th best cause while he does have armor a good for good few fighters are fast enough to break it and and get there combo off on you and you got to know when top use his ice breath and grab since they can be punish for them. I love playing as him cause he legit feels fair to play and he plays like how he's meant to play as a tank while other fighters like shaggy and bugs make no sense with there classes with the moves they have.

Okay look I agree that wounder women in Hella strong I main her been maining her since open but there is a skill gap with those who spam with her and thoes who combo with her, all I gotta say is trying making a true combo that isn't a spam and I feel that be a good wounder women example my go to combo is jab,jab,up tilt, down air, nair fallowed into jab jab neutral, then end with lasso, that's not ez to pull of in a fight combo game is somewhat difficult for her granted yes I do agree she is really really strong and she is due for huge nurfs but that doesn't nesseraly mean she takes no skill she just takes some to use her correctly and not this meta way

Garnett takes ALOT of skill tf lol. Her "combo" is slow and locks u into a animation. Her moves are way slower and unless u charge to level one and get speed boost youll barely get in against top players without doin the damage other bruisers do

Im sorry, i can't respect your opinion on a lot of this, straight up leaving out info about a character to place them in whatever bracket you want.
You said "jason isnt skill based" and "if you're good at the game you're not using him because he'll hold you back". Does that mean he's just trash? Cause as someone who actually plays him, I know he's slower and more difficult to use. You cant just throw things out hoping for the best because you'll get punished for just throwing out a simple forward attack. His hitboxes don't line up. He doesn't have the best options in neutral. As he is now, he takes a lot of skill to be good with. Skill I quite frankly don't have in this genre. (So i switched to someone with better/faster options)
Banana guard is an easy character but you still need some sort of brains to play him. You can have absolutely no idea how to combo with him as long as you can read how they'll recover. Everyones acting like hes the best character when in reality he just has good options in neutral. I haven't found any infinites (if he even has any). Everything is dodgeable, even his multi-hitting attacks. Dodge behind my forward attack and get a free punish since i cant turn around like some characters. His down specials are garbage, anyone with a brain isn't gonna get hit by it in singles. Grounded down attack doesn't have the range to constitute it being so slow. That nerf to his damage makes his grounded forward special more punishable on hit. If he hits the opponent at low damage, they recover faster than me and i get hit (unless there's someway to cancel it im unaware of). And with reduced damage it takes at least one extra hit before they get knocked back far enough to not be able to punish you, so you cant just throw it out whenever.
You listed basically everyone as skill less, you should probably change your metric for deciding if a character takes skill or not. The whole game is easy to operate, it would stand to reason that the characters in that game will be easy too. A character taking skill in this game isn't the same as a character taking skill in another game. I guess I'm just curious as to what you're comparing them to.

Bomb is her only combo tool minus her aerials, which are outspaced by any competent player.
@@mateotheweeb_8258 The only mid thing about her is her speed. Her combo game is insane, you dont need a bomb to get an easy 40dmg combo. Her up air is arguably one of the best in the game. Her hammer is so easy to use and is very forgiving. She is easily a top 5 character in the game. There is a reason why her, Joker and wonder woman get picked so much in pro play
@Thim01 her combo game is incredibly good, but her combo starters are easily avoided. She'll only get worse as the meta progresses because her combos won't matter if she can't get an opening. The game is still early. Not everyone has the spacing down on most of their moves, and there's a lot of whiffs. Harley basically capitalizes off of whiff punishes. Her Nair is a little busted I will admit that, but it's one of her only good hitboxes.
