but at the same time she and keisha refuse to be honest and at least nominate each other since they're being bestie. while scott is a better cook than both of them. and also joy is really destroyed mentally right after keisha is gone. like she quit over a fish, i won't go as far as saying she's a hypocrite etc but that mentality is quite dangerous to quit when everything doesn't go your way.
It's hard to feel empathy for her when you know how she shield her friend Keisha through the season... she made fun of Jessica's tears, her comments and sabotages behind Rochelle's back and finally her misandrist attitude towards the men on the team... Joy’s elimination was the hardest to watch. She was an amazing cook and I really thought she had the best chance to win. She got support from past Hell’s Kitchen winners, and Gordon acknowledged how much potential she had. Even Chef Andi was rooting for her. But all it took was one slip up
Agreed. It's a real shame she let her emotions get the better of her at that moment. Honestly, I do hope Gordon considers bringing her back on a future All-Stars/Rookies Vs. Veterans season. I do think she'd be worth giving another shot to, and hopefully after these years, she's able to get her emotions more in check.
I mean your not wrong. She definitely had potential and was one of the best Chefs that season. Could have won the whole thing. But the saying goes, "Can't take the heat get out the Kitchen." And she couldn't take it.
It's fascinating to see the different walks of the eliminated people as they walked down the corridor. Rochelle stood out because she left with an energetic stride. Deep down she knew she could hold her head up high. And her positive attitude will be an asset in any work she does.
Scott was the underdog in this season. After being nominated so many times in the second half of the season, he still pulled through and ultimately won the season!

@@kryo4491 Correction, the biggest comeback in Hell's Kitchen ever followed by Jason's comeback. And Jason, Rochelle and Melanie were great too despite their low points. Joy and Kaisha were unfortunately two faced and they were the reasons Scott suffered the eliminations and they even backstabbed Rochelle at least once because she apparently just advice on starting a family.
This is why I’m really glad he won. I felt like a lot of the times he was getting nominated were because other people viewed him as a threat, not because of any sort of mistakes he was making. He kept to himself appropriately by never whining about others, seemed to always genuinely want to help, and had a great attitude overall in addition to his skills.
He also made the greatest comeback for being the first one who leaved on Season 9 because of dehydration and then the runner up in Season 12 and he never been nominated once. What a Trooper!

And Season 6 is my favorite because: 1. Dave won with one injured arm 2. Gordon vs Joseph 3. The top 4 are the best despites Tennille had a slow start while Ariel was getting decreased on her performance in Black Jacket Round.

Whenever I see a chef blame their team/ a teammate for their elimination, I usually chalk it up to them avoiding responsibility. However, I think Ralph had every right to be upset on the way out.
Fun fact: I live in the same town as Bev Ketchikan, Alaska. She works at a little roadside resteraunt called "AJ's gourmet burgers" She literally copies everyone popular items and menus here. After seeing Jason's early exit back in season 9, I'm very proud of him reaching the final .It was nice seeing what he was capable of doing in the kitchen.

His first two, arguably three nominations were fully deserved, but his last two were just up to the team throwing him under the bus as the weakest link. His 5th nomination was especially unfair, since that had been his best service up to that point, yet the team insisted on nominating the overall weakest link.

I feel like Scott is the most likeable and relatable competitor across all HK seasons. His reaction when he won was so geniune. Really supported him throughout the season. Rochelle was seriously one of my favorite people to ever be on the show. It’s so rare to see such a happy person on the show, and like Sterling and others, it’s a welcome change of pace.

Gordon really reminds me of the instructor I had for my advanced first aid course, which ended with a test of our abilities. When it was my and my friend's turn for the practical side of the test and we finished, he looked at us sternly and said "That was SO close..." Paused, making my heart sink into my stomach, and then finished: "... to perfection." I feel for the contestants, who get that second of "Shit, that's it"-feeling before Gordon tells them to go back in line or to put on that black jacket. The relief when you hear you did well enough is really overwhelming.

Scott was the underdog in this season. After being nominated so many times in the second half of the season, he still pulled through and ultimately won the season!
Arguably he only deserved 2 or 3 of those nominations
Final 11 was kind of bs, because although he was bad, he wasn’t one of the worst 3
Final 10 (part 2) was a part of Kashia and Joy’s bullying antics
Final 8 was Kashia and Joy’s bullying antics
Final 6 was sort of unfair, but it was obvious he wasn’t going home over Kashia

@@kryo4491 Correction, the biggest comeback in Hell's Kitchen ever followed by Jason's comeback. And Jason, Rochelle and Melanie were great too despite their low points. Joy and Kaisha were unfortunately two faced and they were the reasons Scott suffered the eliminations and they even backstabbed Rochelle at least once because she apparently just advice on starting a family.

This is why I’m really glad he won. I felt like a lot of the times he was getting nominated were because other people viewed him as a threat, not because of any sort of mistakes he was making. He kept to himself appropriately by never whining about others, seemed to always genuinely want to help, and had a great attitude overall in addition to his skills.

Whenever I see a chef blame their team/ a teammate for their elimination, I usually chalk it up to them avoiding responsibility. However, I think Ralph had every right to be upset on the way out.

For sure! Of all the "assholes" on Hell's Kitchen, Jason is really the only one I like watching, as he is so fucking funny that you can easily forgive him when he comes off like a dick.
Agreed I feel like people give Jason too much hate then he deserves like yeah he's crazy, loud and can be an asshole but he's just so damn funny and likeable that it makes him so entertaining to watch.

Rochelle was seriously one of my favorite people to ever be on the show. It’s so rare to see such a happy person on the show, and like Sterling and others, it’s a welcome change of pace.
I had to skip Jessica's elimination in this video, it's so heartbreaking and really hard to watch.

Gordon really reminds me of the instructor I had for my advanced first aid course, which ended with a test of our abilities. When it was my and my friend's turn for the practical side of the test and we finished, he looked at us sternly and said "That was SO close..." Paused, making my heart sink into my stomach, and then finished: "... to perfection."
I feel for the contestants, who get that second of "Shit, that's it"-feeling before Gordon tells them to go back in line or to put on that black jacket. The relief when you hear you did well enough is really overwhelming.
