I think a lot of the bad reviews of the quick service restaurants come from people who have tried to go there at 7 o’clock at night. It is extremely busy, and as one of the reviewers previously said, I have found the service very poor and the orders often are incorrect. So basically, your experience is going to depend a lot on how crowded the restaurant is. Maybe try going back at night and doing this show again :-)

and these people having absolutely no chill when it comes to a staff that is working at (according to one review) 10pm on Christmas Eve.
lmao. I worked at BEND THE BAO and we definitely didn’t put kimchi in the duck bao. It is XO sauce, which is made from dried fermented shrimp, scallops, and other fish. and the brisket that we used is the same one from NBC grill, and yes sometimes the Brisket would be dried as a bone. The “orange Chicken” lol well.. that’s another story. So glad I’m not there no more. Food was trash
But y'all went when they weren't busy at all. Service is bound to be better when the server isn't overwhelmed. One star reviews usually happen when the restaurant is either fixin' to close or overwhelmed.
On top of that if you’re obviously filming a food video you’re probably going to get good treatment I’d think.

I think issue is during peak times. Key is to go when it’s not peak times even in the parks. Instead 12-1 for lunch try for 11-12, eat dinner before 6 or after a few hours after parks closes or get yourself a reservation way in advance. Our favorite place in Vivo. Their steak is awesome and they make fresh noodles for other meals. Favorite waitress their is Ermy.

Go to Bk whooper bar when parks letting out and try to get same service. I have went multiple times and while I dont leave reviews as I think it depends on day and time, but have yet to have order right there. I tend to think maybe staffing issues as most going through but appreciate the convivence of not having to driver somewhere after

If you plan on wanting to eat at the sit down restaurants in city walk or even around universal I highly suggest making reservations to make sure you’re able to get in

I love Jimmy Buffet's! But it's for one reason and one reason alone: Volcano Nachos. They are amazing and cost less than every entree, all while filling you up with amazing flavors.
Oh, and they have tons of Gluten Free food there for my Celiac wife. That helps, too.

These places have no consistency. Customers are at the mercy of who is working that day and how busy the park is.

We were just there Saturday and ate at Bread Box. Those reviews shocked me. The pastrami rivaled NYC (not in size, lol, but taste). It was the most delicious melty pastrami with a yummy sauce. I get the employee thing, though. I went to mobile order but you cant get sauce on the side on the app, so I stood in line. It took 15 minutes to take 3 people's orders. My friends (who mobile ordered) were done eating before I even got to the counter. Our Sprite was just seltzer water (they just needed to replace the flavor), but they couldn't replace it without going into the basement I guess? So we just got coke instead. The manager seemed annoyed at US for not wanting to drink seltzer water and asking for straws, sooooo, yeah, I get the service reviews.
Yea the hot dog place was our blandest meal and the staff looked like they didn’t want to be there 😂

I laughed at the person that could eat at Bread Box in one bite. Maybe if they can unhinge their jaw they could, but when we went back in 2022 I got the NY rye and pastrami and I couldn't finish more than a quarter of it and I really liked it. That Tomato and Mozarella chiabatta sandwich looked really nice.

We Just got back from Universal, Vivo Italian was our best pick for food in city walk and decent prices for what you get!

We've been to Margariitaville a number of times and it's been fine. Frankly some people live to complain. I mean complaining that it's a tourist trap when your at a theme park? Jimmy has the line 'the beer was to cold' in one of his songs and that comes to mind. Great job as always though. We were just wondering how often you guys do City Walk (other than the 24 milkshakes at whatever it was).

I will say City walks Margaritaville is the worst place to eat at universal. I've been there 3 times and it's never been good. The last time it took us like an hour and a half to get food and it wasn't very busy. There servers were terrible and the food wasn't good. We go to the pigeon forge location frequently and it's always pretty good. I have that I've never had a good experience at the city walk location :/. Bob Marleys though 100% recommend it's bussin!

Anna, you need to go to Agave Azul and order a Rico Suave(watermelon margarita) with Tajin on the rim instead of salt. Best margarita I have ever had, it's so delicious. I want to go back there just for that drink.

That's a hilarious eye catcher and why this video has twice the views of most other recent videos. I can't imagine Anna's good sense of humor finds it offensive even with the current announcement. I mean....In all fairness it depends on the day. I ordered a vegetarian sandwich from bread box and it was no doubt very small but it took 45 min from getting on line to sandwich on table and the place seemed very disorganized and short staffed at the time. Most abandoned tables still had previous trays cups and stuff stacked up mile high
The food at Confisco Grille can be terrible depending on when you go. We stopped there after being at the park all day. We were so hungry and tired. I love curry, so I ordered the Chicken Curry Chakra. The waitress told me a it's a little spicy and wanted to make sure that's fine. I thought good, this will have some flavor. I got the food, there was no flavor and no spice at all. It seriously tasted like cardboard. Absolutely terrible, but I was so hungry, I just until I wasn't starved anymore. I let the waitress know, she said it's later in the evening and things just aren't as fresh then. Lesson learned, never go to Confisco's late in the day.

I especially enjoyed this video. We've eaten at all of these restaurants, and our only bad experience was Margaritaville; stale buns, dry burgers and super-greasy reuben. However, it's usually good. I usually ignore "one star reviews" and make my own opinions.
My wife and I went to Bread Box for dinner one night in June 2022. I was wearing my Georgia gear(Go Dawgs!!!). The guy taking my order said, “Y’all still celebrating that national championship huh?” I replied, “We ARE STILL Champions. Are you going to take my order or talk trash?” lol. Our sandwiches were really good btw.
It all depends on tone. The guy may have just been making small talk.

I think the only reason Margaritaville doesnt excite me is because I live in New Orleans. We have our own Margaritaville and I didnt come all the way to Orlando to eat at a place that I dont bother going to while at home.

Traditional kimchi is made with fish sauce, salted shrimp, or anchovy sauce (some type of fermented seafood paste).
Last time I went to Hot Dog Hall of Fame and they were out of hot dogs. How is that even possible?

Once you open a pack of something inside an MRE it has to be eaten within the week at most. Otherwise you'll need a hail mary and a grit of steel to not keel over and become besties with death. 😭

Thank you for doing this. We have eaten at the same places with positive and negative experiences. You need to try them when it is super packed on a weekend. It does change the experience. Pro tip get the perfect margarita. At Jimmy Buffets.

If the restaurants can’t handle peak times, they shouldn’t operate in a theme-park district. Visiting on a dead afternoon proves nothing about customer service. Glad to know some of the food does taste good!

We love Margaritaville. We always eat there maybe one or two times a trip. That's not talking about the Lone Palm Airport, we go there everyday for hours at a time. My husband loves the watermelon margarita with chamoy and tajin, I believe it matters who makes it.

We were in BK at the same time as you! It was typical fast food so I'm not sure what people expect. Haven't tried Bend the Bao as, like you say, you don't get a lot for the money. Loved Bread box, staff were friendly and food was amazing for a sandwich place. We went to Margaritaville for the first time this trip, we ordered the margarita flight (I agree, the watermelon wasn't great) and the volcano nachos. Holy hotdog!! It was the size of my head, and of course, my darling husband backed out and ordered himself a sandwich!! Leaving me to tackle it on my own🤔😱🌋🧗 gotta love challenges in relationships 😂
