i used to work in a restaurant in central London, and the food wasn't bad, but the owner used to make us write 5-star reviews and he used to make a lot of fake accounts just too write good things about the restaurant, so yes it is a thing.

That pasta dish reminds me of how my dad used to make a similar dish swimming in pasta water the only difference he added a pinch of grated cheese on top lol. I feel your pain.

It's really depressing to know that this woman makes a living, probably a pretty decent living from this restaraunt. I fear this place may never go out of business and that's just horrifying. She will continue to make money off dangerous serving conditions and attitude. She can also easily afford to not serve whoever she wants because the food is overpriced but more importantly the place is too famous that she'll never run out of customers.
I was casually watching this video and I realised this is the first restaurant I ate with grandmas when we arrived at London. I am not even kidding, 17 years ago I believe. We were not surprised it was not that good (we didn’t have Google maps or tripadvisor), but that mid meal forced us to only eat KFC the rest of the trip. 😅
There is somewhere in Edinbutgh that;s pretty bad, The Booking Office, above the railway station. It's cheap, the staff are Ok, but the cooked breakfast was a joke, baked beans, more baked beans and not much else.
I'm from Australia and that so-called restraunt wouldn't have lasted five years. The spaghetti looked revolting, the fish and chips in the microwave? No way, and she asked you to leave? No way I would have paid for unhygienic food and premises. No way.
You're lucky she let you finish! I saw her just remove plates from people she's thrown out. It seems if you're female or white you get treated 'better'. (I know that sounds bad, but it's what I've gleaned from reviews and videos.)
There’s another restaurant at the Palace called Palace Restaurant so those positive reviews are where people have made a mistake and reviewed the wrong place. Some of them have photos and it’s clear they’re talking about another place. Not that hole bruh
