Hi. The Vertuo Plus has the used pod container at the rear of the machine. You can slide the container out sideways, avoiding having to remove the water tank. Probably worth mentioning that when setting up a new Nespresso machine, before first use it is recommended to wash the water tank and do a cleaning cycle of the machine. There are videos posted that show the process, but it’s very easy to do. Just remove the cup stand and place a large container underneath the coffee outlet spout. Make sure there’s no pod inside the machine (if first use, there shouldn’t be), make sure water tank is filled, close lid, press power/brew button 3 times quickly, the button light turns orange to confirm machine in cleaning cycle. Within a minute water will start to drip into container. The cleaning cycle takes about 5 minutes to complete, lights changes colour back to green ready indicator. Refill water tank, replace cup stand and you’re ready to enjoy your machine. I clean my machine once a week. Using filtered water will assist keeping machine’s internal mechanism clean. Nespresso recommend doing a descaling clean with their branded descaling product every 3 months. I hope this information assists. P.S. I purchase the Vertuo Next! and did have a problem with hard to opening and closing therefore I returned it and got the Vertuo plus (just gentle touch - automatically opening and closing) and I loved it and I think better taste coffee
I have both models and although the Vertuo Plus is a better designed machine overall, as reported by other TH-camrs, the Next brews a little bit more bolder. I like the flavor of the capsules brewed by the Next a little bit more.
Once it’s done serving my coffee, I can push the button again and it serves even more coffee. Should I be doing this or is this second serving mostly water? I can even do it 3 times. So confused! Anyone please help!!!
Coffee is a personal preference, so if you like the taste of the coffee pushing the button two or three times, it’s perfectly fine. There is no right or wrong way, just how you like it 😊
I just opened and used mine. And I pressed the button 4 times on the 5th i was panicking thinking it was going to burn out or something but i added creamer and it was perfect 🥰

I got it at Costco and I got the machine, the frother, the starter pack of pods, 30 extra pods, as well as a $40 off gift certificate for more pods. All for I believe it was $175. And it has more than made it’s money back.
Mine does not fill up. It literally pours out an espresso shot size. I’ve adjusted the tray for the cup to see if there’s a difference, I fill up the tank more than half way and nothing. I had to press the button again to get more coffee out.

Avoid the next it literally leaks on the bottom over time and the whole manual locking and unlocking sucks lol so get the vertuo plus

Depends on the pods you use. They have some that are single shots of espresso, double shot, 5.5 oz of coffee and 7 I think

I think this depends on the pod you use, some are made for large amounts of coffee while other are not
