Great video of your steam collection you grew up with! I like seeing steam engines but I've always favored the diesels. Hope you're doing well and next Friday I'm having a Reconstructive back surgery in Media PA. Thanks again for sharing your videos with us Trey. Cheers from Laurel, Delaware USA.
That’s a cool variety of locomotives, the diesels are cool to have running since they were similar to ones that run locally for your layout. Love seeing the British steam too.
I came back to the hobby after 40+ years. I started with 2 HO Australian (local) diesels. They were DCC but no sound. I was in awe as I watched them on two linked ovals go in different directions! I now have mostly American locomotives now and the collection is at 18. The prices are really high at the moment for US power. For Australian trains, it's just as expensive and the wait for product is crazy. I have had 2 diesels on order for 2 years now! They might come this year... If I had to pick favourites, it would be an Australian B Class diesel (same as I had as a kid, which, coincidentally, was a Triang Hornby brand) and an MTH Allegheny. The sound on this can scare the neighbours! Everyone has to to start small. You can also find enjoyment in the variety of rolling stock you can get.
Sounds like you have an awesome collection! 2 years of wait time is a really long time, hopefully you get them this year. And very true I actually have a lot of rolling stock compared to my engines
That British model you have is an older produced one which is why it has those large couplings I have newer production British models which they are dcc ready and have nem coupler pockets which make it really easy to swap in kadees. Thus I can run them pretty much anywhere and pull any rolling stock I need to
2:14 I have a similar locomotive to that one the most I can tell you is that it was produced by a company that made narrow gauge HO locomotives that run on N scale track. I think they were called like a mini tricks or something I do not know what the company was called. The Narrow gauge products are really hard to find though.
So did you only use the wood from Home Depot or somewhere else as well? Also great video I’m hoping you can do a video on wiring next, so I can learn how to wire my own layout.
HO scale trains in you collection. My N scale trains. Locomotives, freight cars and passengers. Atlas, Bachmann, Life Like, Kato, Con Cord, Athearn, Kadee y Lima.
I like that you included your first trains. The nostalgia helps keep the hobby alive.
Very true!
As long as you enjoy it the size of the collection does not matter. Thanks for sharing.
I concur 🥰!!

Thank you and I agree I always like the diesels a little more. I hope you have a good surgery Shawn! Let me know how it goes
Another great video. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! And yeah it’s cool to see those diesels in real life
Nice little collection you have there. The Hornby steam loco is pretty cool. Would love to see that one running one day.
Thanks man! Yeah I’ll have to set up a DC track to test it out
Nice trains
Nice collection. I could have sworn those were GP60s lol
Thanks man! But it does look like a gp60

For the most part on my new layout I got my material at Lowe’s! And I just uploaded a video on wiring so if you want you can go check it out
Question. How do you keep the people figured standing without falling.
I use a very little bit of Tacky Glue on the bottom of the figure
I have the county of Bedford😂😂😂 it’s a great engine
Really 😂 That’s awesome
From where can i buy that and price???❤❤❤
I got the diesel engines from Lombard Hobbies for around $200 and the steam locomotive on eBay for around $90

@@TopRailroad Where is you 🐱 Binx ?
My dog Scooby Doo bited the tail to you 🐱 Binx.
Do you prefer UK or USA locomotives
Thats tough but Id have to go with US locomotives since its what I see in real life
I have that exact same ATSF steam loco although it does not run. :( :( :(
Oh man that sucks maybe you can get it running again with some diy fixing
@@TopRailroad I will try that! I actually got that locomotive and a ton of other Ho scale items from a neighbor.
