The Stuff you guys do, Years ago in the mid 70's, I built a table 8'x10' for my little Brother, We used mostly stuff it the Yard, the Green We bought from the Hobby Store! We used Cement for Mtn-Cliffs and Crushed Cement with a Hammer for the Gravel, Crushed Coal and Real Dirt! 2pwr packs to run 2 Trains, 2 track-switch boards with 4 or 5 tracks on a panel, then we had the electric switch tracks and Lighting, I think there was 17 to 22 switch tracks, lots of wiring, all from an old Telephone cable! I used thin Plywood cut in to track bed, couldn't afford the Cork! The Mountains and the Lumps and bumps in the Terrain were paper mache & Boxes and Chicken wire, again it was Cheap! This DCC looks great, if I wasn't old I would Love to Build one! Thanks for the Video!
Really enjoyed watching you create that river scene, and finishing the video with that BNSF train running over the bridge. Thanks for documenting the process and sharing it with us.
I think you made the right choice to go with a single color. If you were going for more of a river vibe, the depth change would look better. However, with a small creek like what you made, the depth would probably be very similar.
Episode 4 was an excellent how to video doing the river scene. Back in the day I could only dream of doing this. The key important lesson is”PATIENCE” the hardest part of successful model railroading. Bravo for a job well done. Phil
This is the exact how to video I was looking for!! Thanks. I have a model car show in March n the theme is trucks n vans. I want to do a living in a van down by the river
Good choice with the plaster. I have heard that sculpt-a-mold can sometimes leak resin. However, if you mix mod podge with the sculpt-a-mold, then it prevents leaks.
That looks gorgeous! Amazing work, I will be having a similar shallow bridge scene on a part of my layout with a double track truss bridge, inspired by local places I’ve visited growing up. This will help so much!
As someone who’s still collecting all the materials and track I need to build my n scale layout even though your scale is HO I can’t thank you enough for all this amazing information. And that static electricity trick my man you got a sub from me that’s just absolutely genius❤
Love it! Starting my own layout and your vids help alot! Are you considering adding more industries to the layout in the future? An easy way to add inustries without greatly changing your trackplan is to cut off a bit of track leading to your warehouse and adding a switch, that way you could add another industry to your layout.

Thanks for the Video!
The techniques you used in this video to apply different material made it my favorite video of the series
Thank you!
That looks fantastic! Thanks for showing your process.
Thank you!
I love watching this guy lol
Same
Really enjoyed watching you create that river scene, and finishing the video with that BNSF train running over the bridge. Thanks for documenting the process and sharing it with us.
Thank you for the nice comment!
You do great tutorials and I appreciate you actually showing the process. Everything turned out fantastic!
My pleasure! Thank you for watching

The straw for the ripples is a great idea! I've seen people use an airbrush but I have never thought about a straw.
Airbrush would save your breath haha
@@charlessapp1835 even a small air compressor might be good
this is awesome, thanks for sharing. Learned a great deal, love the water effects. I cant wait to apply this in my new setup
Thanks for showing your build process. Always enjoy your videos.
Thank you!

Subtle, subtle, subtle.
That looks fantastic! Job well done.
I did say subtle and river a lot in this video lol but thank you!
Sorry if you thought I was implying you said subtle too much.
I was trying to say that the whole river scene was very subtle.
I've not seen anyone sand the river base as much but your logic is in the proof. Very nice looking river and banks. I'm excited to start my river, too.
Good job my friend, a river in the train layout.
Swamp in my layout with muddy water.
Gators.
Frogs.
Thank you! That sounds awesome
Wow, I was more impressed with this then I thought I'd be..well done..well done..
Thank you for this tutorial and all these explanations. The result is perfect!
I am really impressed! I’m going to make an attempt at this. Thank you for your vid/instructions.
Looks fantastic! Great job.
Nicely done. Your workmanship is outstanding.
Thank you!
Really nice! I added a gator to mine, since I have an FEC line. Looks nice with him under water.
This is the exact how to video I was looking for!! Thanks. I have a model car show in March n the theme is trucks n vans. I want to do a living in a van down by the river
River looks incredible! Well done!
Thank you!
Great job kid!! Everything we do can be a learning experience. Don't be afraid to try anything when building scenery, that's the fun part!
Thank you and I agree! You gotta try new stuff or you’ll never grow as a modeler
Outstanding job !!! Looks fantastic and very well explained 😍
Thank you 😁
That was very well done indeed, quite magnificent!
Good choice with the plaster. I have heard that sculpt-a-mold can sometimes leak resin. However, if you mix mod podge with the sculpt-a-mold, then it prevents leaks.
Now I see you put glue on top of the plaster. In which case, you would have been fine with the sculpt-a-mold.
Great job! Looks very nice.
Looks great. Ty for showing the process
Thank you for watching!
Hella scene, dude! Now you need to paint the ceiling blue so the "water" reflects it like sky
That would be cool!
Excellent. Very impressive work.
Wow, looks fantastic.
Thank you man!
That looks gorgeous! Amazing work, I will be having a similar shallow bridge scene on a part of my layout with a double track truss bridge, inspired by local places I’ve visited growing up. This will help so much!
Thank you very much! That’s awesome though! Having inspiration from places in real life helps a lot
Nice video mate. That river came out great! Nice to see the resin pour went well with no leaks.
Thanks man! I’m really glad there were no leaks haha
Right on Boss , turned out nice.
I always wanted to do one of those myself . Thanks for the Tips
It's really.
Cool to see the visual.
Well done. Quite impressive.
Thank you 😁
Awesome ! Good inspiration and instruction for my own layout process :)
What an excellent tutorial! It gives me lots of inspiration that, with patience and preplanning,
I too can do this. Glad I subscribed.
Thank you very much!
I think the down hill water has a nice effect. If you level the layout note it will look really cool. Great work
Absolutely fantastic 👍👍👍
Great job. Looks fantastic and very realistic. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!

Great scene! Thank you for showing the process, especially the water. Hoping to tackle water sometime in the future
Thank you!
Needs a boat ramp and some canoers in the water 😊
Really well done, love the efforts you went to with the grass.
Thank you!
I used static grass for the first time. Even using a cheap Amazon applicator, the results were great, especially from a short distance.
Absolutely awesome video
That looks awesome! You did a fantastic job!
Thank you!
That's Fantastic! Excellent work on river and details!
Thank you!
Looks fantastic
This was an awesome video! First time I’ve seen a river pour start to finish. Now I want to do one even though I have no space 😂
Thank you! Do it you can always make a little stream or something haha

Nice work!
Very good length and pace to the video.

That turned out great. A fish or two would have looked neat in the water at the edge of the layout.
That would have been cool! I should probably pick up a 3D printer sometime

Cool video and nice layout 👌 🎉🎉😊

So you took the time and effort to sand everything to get a smooth surface only to add textured sculpt a mold to rough it up again. I’m confused!
Looks good! 😊
Thank you 😁
it turned out great 👍🙂
I actually started yawning before your cat. I hope you keep this layout for a couple weeks before you decide to change it again.
It’s his layout 😂😂😂
I think that’s the fun of it! At least for me!
Any update to the layout?

Hi there
I am making the HO layout 4x8 1" Pink form.
Can I cut and attach another form for the river ground, or do I need to use wood only?
when are you going to post a new video its been forever
