I got the pnp bird with floats bc it was on sale for $189 and I want to do a full vid to show everyone how you build a plane and setup a receiver for it. Nice first bird and very easy to fly. love the float vid bud and its sweet for anyone!!
Watch all your videos and actually got the ranger 1220mm for my first plane as a rtf. I'm waiting for sim time before I send it. What do you think about the tx16s?
I’ve heard decent things about those! I’ve never used them. I like spektrum just for ease of use and with the AR630 reciever having a gyro built in.. it’s just really simple.
Very good video even had a fan club watching. Question the channel you are in landing and taking off the water was smooth how do the float planes work when it is a bit more choppy
They sit pretty high in top of the water so I would think it would be okay. Next time it’s windy and choppy I’ll go down there and give it a flight to see how it performs !
Floats create a huge amount of drag in the water. Slightly rough water makes it easier for the floats to release from the water, so an under-powered float plane plane may need rough water to fly. Float design makes a difference too. But this plane has no trouble getting off the water.
Can somebody help me? I’m wonder if when you crash this float plane or one like it in water if the electrical components can be damaged due to the water, or is it fairly water tight?
Hello. I have the same bird but we don’t have fresh water available for float operations we only have saltwater beaches. Im an intermediate pilot have enough hours on the stick but with only wheel planes. This is my first time flying a bird with floats. Can u give me some tips regarding this specially because im flying this in saltwater. Thanks
Hi I have a small beginner plane and it’s so fun I would love a sea plane but I’m a broke 13 year old please please please can u recommend a sea plane under 150 buks please
It looks really majestic.👍I would put a 5.8g camera on it to fly and sail it in first person view.
Great flying and awesome job filming it! I'm so sold on this plane, to get back into the hobby again. Thank you 🙏
Nice fligth and comments. question: i need to buy a trainner for my son, what do you think is better, this ranger or the apprentice sts? thanks
Ranger is better.
Definitely the ranger.
is this plane okay to land in saltwater or sea? thanks
Great Job Brother!

@@Jays_rcgarage if you watch my twin otter vid I've never seen a more smoother landing like this on any float plane and I was so proud of that landing
I’m on the fence between this and the radio link a560 and I know their different types or planes but which one would you chose to generally fly with?
Wait airplane can fly 10-15 mins and what? Can i land him after 10 mins and again fly with him?

Wished it had flaps tho. May still get it, looks fun!
You can add them pretty easily they have a en dent where the flaps go there’s a video on TH-cam on how to do it
I have a question if anybody could answer, would the plane still fly ok if I put a small camera on it
Try!
@@hampus3699 I will once I save for another few weeks 😀
I've saw videos of this plane with a camera so deff yes. Maidened mine today by only practicing with an rc plane app on my phone 😅
@@brandonwesson6818 Good job!
Thanks..May have been luck but knowing how all the controls affect the plane helped alot.

It will probably be fine i have seen a lot of videos sowing it almost fully submerged but still fly pretty well so i assume it will be alright.

how is your plane now after landing it in saltwater?
can it handle 4s???
3s enough and best I think.
Can it fly 3d not like a 3d plane though just the basics
I mean i think if you have a lot of experience you can hover it.
Where can I buy the rtf it’s out of stock?
Funny, just posted a short about this 10 min ago. Yeah…. It’s only in stock in Canada. FMS has been slacking with their supplies. Not sure man.
